I was worried I wouldn't have any option when looking for my ideal dress, especially because I wanted a black wedding dress and I'm a larger size. But my friend used Curvaceous Couture and her dress was amazing. So, I made the drive (I'm in Virginia). It was totally worth it. My stylist was amazing and everybody was so kind. They worked with my budget and helped me find several options to try. I ended up with the most amazing dress that fit me right off the hanger with no alterations needed! That has never happened to me before with a formal dress!! It was the dress of my dreams! Thank you, Curvaceous Couture!

After many frustrating visits to other bridal shops that did not carry more than 2-3 curvy gowns, I found Curvaceous Couture. They have an amazing selection of gowns in every style, and made me feel at ease throughout the entire dress shopping process. The staff was always lovely to work with and helped me find the dress of my dreams. I had a pretty drastic weight change about 5 months out from my wedding, and they were able to create a tailored alterations schedule for me to make sure my dress fit perfectly the day of my wedding. I can’t recommend them enough!

As a picky girl, I’d like to say Curvaceous Couture surpassed all my expectations. The selection of dresses were amazing and let’s not even start with how unbelievably kind the staff members were. I was always looking forward to every visit because of how special they all made me feel. Mycahya was very thorough and informative with every question I had. My alterations were always fun! Amy, the seamstress and Rita had me laughing for hours and made my experience enjoyable. I was worried about how I was going to put on the dress on my own since I wasn’t going to have any help with the gown on my actual wedding day…they even gave me my own bridal bestie…Sharee!! She was an angel and my special day would NOT have been possible without her. She was very detailed and was able to assist me in every way possible. A professional and beautiful young lady, inside and out 🤍 If you’re around the area and need a gorgeous, wedding dress- look no further! Or even if you’re not local and are able to fly out to the boutique, DO IT! This shop was the very first one I visited when looking for my wedding gown. I went in not knowing exactly what I wanted but had a good idea. The consultant was patient with me and understood my vision. They have many options for us curvy women. The fittings were not stressful and went smoothly. They listened to my concerns and even added a fitting when I needed it taken out some (lol-too much fun in the kitchen). The gown was ready in time and everyone loved it! I felt like a Queen!

I was very anxious about dress shopping as a larger-bodied bride. I was nervous about being judged in bridal salons, or having to essentially imagine what a dress would look like because the sample wouldn't fit on my frame. I feel SO SO lucky to have a shop like Curvaceous Couture so close by, because I didn't have to deal with ANY of those concerns. Making an appointment was super simple. As soon as we walked in the door, the staff was friendly and professional. My stylist listened to what I was looking for and pulled dresses that fit within my criteria. I had tried on dresses on two prior occasions, and while those experiences weren't bad, it was just a whole new world to have an entire shop full of dresses that fit me. I found a dress that made me feel beautiful and special. The alterations team did an excellent job customizing the dress to my body, and when something was a little off at my final fitting, they placed some more pins without complaint and told me to come back in a few hours to pick it up. When I returned, the dress fit perfectly. I would definitely recommend all plus sized babes check out Curvaceous Couture (especially in their gorgeous new space).

The owners and everyone who works at Curvaceous Couture make the shopping experience SO amazing! As a plus size bride I was worried about walking into a salon and not being able to fit into everything I wanted but at Curvaceous Couture most of the sample sizes were big on me which was so nice! They knew exactly what I wanted in a gown and the stylist picked the first dress I saw when I walked in (without knowing I saw it) and it ended up being my dress! Every time I came back for fittings and everything the whole team went above and beyond. I am so thankful a store like this exists and I could not be more happy with my dress!
