Creations by Toy was my first and should have been only stop in bridal gown shopping. I checked out a total of three bridal stores for my dress, and enjoyed my experience at this place the most.
The store is conveniently located near the King St/Beretania/University Ave intersection. Entrance to the lot is on Kuilei St. I called to make an appointment before I showed up, which was simple enough. When I arrived, she locked the door so I had her full attention. Although the shop is smaller than the other ones I visited, the selection was varied enough for me. She has a sale rack with cheap but good quality dresses. I liked a few of the dresses that I tried on, but seeing as how this was my first shop, I didn't want to settle on one just yet.
My experience there set the bar high for the other places I visited, so after realizing that Creations by Toy was a gem, I went back to buy my dress. My second visit there, I tried on a few more dresses (which Toy was happy to let me do) before finally deciding on the first gown I tried out. She is a down-to-earth woman who you can feel asks you questions so she can get to know you as a better person than just to help make a sale. What sets her apart from the others is that she doesn't pressure you to buy anything or try to upsale you. She lets you decide what you want and offers her opinion (which you can tell is honest) when asked.
So happy I gave my business to this sweet and talented woman! Can't wait for my final fitting to see the finished product!
