Suzanne is the ABSOLUTE BEST! Our wedding would not have been the absolute dream that it was without her. If you are looking for a wedding planner who is always going to go above and beyond for you, is well versed in the ins and outs of Chicago wedding planning, has the best vendor contacts, and is always going to be available to support you and help you through the process, look no further. My husband and I reached out to several wedding planners in the fall of 2021 and my interview with Suzanne really stood out. I felt like I was talking to a friend who was already excited about my wedding before she even had the job. We ended up booking a partial planning package and it never once felt "partial" in any way. Suzanne was always available for us no matter what was going on and she was just down right fun to plan a wedding with. I most valued her very honest point of view and the fact that I always felt she was representing my best interest when interacting with vendors. We had the privilege of working with Suzanne for eleven months while planning my wedding and now that its over I plan to keep in contact with Suzanne. I simply connect recommend her enough.

We worked with Suzanne as a partial planner for over a year and she was always so responsive to our many emails, went above and beyond what was part of the partial planner contract, and was so kind and enthusiastic. We had some specific requests for our wedding and she was super helpful with making them a reality. The venue had some issues with the seating and Suzanne fixed it right away and made our families happy (we had no idea there were any issues the day of our wedding because she smoothed it over). She also made sure everything stayed on track with the schedule on our wedding day. Knowing that Suzanne was running the show and advocating for us throughout our wedding day helped put us at ease. I highly recommend hiring Suzanne from Couture Events as your wedding planner! She added so many thoughtful touches and handled family dynamics with grace. We will miss meeting with her!

We were so impressed by Suzanne and the rest of the Couture Events team. Suzanne was very organized throughout the entire planning process which took the stress off of us. She was so helpful in booking and facilitating various vendors as well as providing us with several checklists and timelines to keep us organized. Our wedding day went exactly as planned and we were able to relax the entire day knowing that she and her team would take care of every small detail. They went above and beyond for us, including having a little bag of things to refresh throughout the day (mints, deodorant, a mini-fan). Would highly recommend Couture Events to any couple!

HIGHLY recommend using Suzanne Halaska as your wedding planner. She was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. She has such a fun and bubbly personality so she was very easy to work with. From the very beginning, she was so helpful with giving advice, scheduling meetings, attending our tour of the venue, and answering any and all questions we had. All the way to the very end, she helped with scheduling monthly checklist meetings, breaking down budgets, attending my final dress fitting (she's great with a bustle), helping with invitations, and planning/scheduling times or meetings with vendors. Our wedding day ran very smoothly. Everything went off without a hitch. Even if problems did arise, we were not aware and the day turned out to be the best day of our lives. It truly was the perfect wedding and none of it could have happened without her help and support the whole way. There is so much more that I could say about how amazing she was but I will leave it at that. She does a phenomenal job!!!!

Suzanne Halaska and her company Couture Events were a dream to work with. Hiring Couture Events (with their Signature Package) was the first big decision we made after we got engaged, and it made everything else manageable. Suzanne is highly organized, experienced, and confidence-inspiring, while also being super down to earth, energetic, and fun. She has a great network of vendors she typically works with, and she knows how to negotiate a great value and get the price down while delivering fantastic quality. She was excellent at helping us hone a vision for what the wedding would look like and how it would flow, while also being very responsive to our preferences throughout the whole process. We were in the driver's seat, but Suzanne guided us the whole way. The wedding ended up coming together just beautifully. What would have been an overwhelming number of things to organize appeared easy in her hands. Also, as a gay couple, we wanted to make sure to find a planner we were comfortable with and who was comfortable with us, and we couldn't have asked for better than Suzanne and her team. Hire them!!

Let me start by saying my hubby was skeptical that we even needed a wedding planner. But by the end of the wedding, he was the one who didn't think we could have pulled off this wedding without Suzanne. So please, do yourself a favor and hire Suzanne!! A lot of the things that drew us to Suzanne was her familiarity with our venue and we really bonded over having lost a close important family member. From the beginning, we had multiple meetings with her and she guided us on design elements too.  She spent hours on our timeline and it really allowed my husband and I to enjoy the important day. She was such a momma bear which was especially important considering my mom lives in a different state. Suzanne is the girl scout of wedding planners, she was prepared for everything. At one point, even pulling scissors and eyelash glue out of her purse at a moments notice. She handled the small details we didn't know existed and I'm so grateful that she was apart of our wedding day. I honestly could not have done it without Suzanne. 

I could go on and on about how great Suzanne and her team are. Not only did they help bring my vision to life, but they helped it go off without hitch. Our wedding was in Kentucky and even though Suzanne is based in Chicago she was able to coordinate everything to the most miniscule detail. Her timeline of the day’s events made my life so much easier. I was able to relax and enjoy my wedding to the fullest.
Not only is Suzanne a fantastic wedding planner, she is also a great friend. She will not only put your mind at ease, but also make you feel as though she is your longtime confidant that is there for you no matter what.
