The importance of choosing a wedding photographer that is a good fit for you and your wedding cannot be understated. Your wedding will be one of the most important and memorable days of your life. A photographer should be there to capture and enhance your fun and incredible day, and that is what I strive to provide. After all, your wedding photos are the only thing that gains value over time.
It is imperative to me to give you the peace of mind that your wedding will be captured in a beautiful way that will allow you to vividly and emotionally relive your day for years to come. I strive to capture authentic and personal moments in a mindful, adaptive, and spontaneous way. I focus on taking fun and energetic photos that are vivid and alive, and love working with adventurous couples that like to travel and think outside of the box.
My goal is to provide you and your family with photos that will make you laugh, make you cry, and render you speechless. Your wedding photos will be cherished memories that you will share with your children and generations to come.
A little about me: A Denver native, I am an award-winning photographer with a degree in photojournalism from Metro State University. My father introduced me to photography at a young age and ignited my passion for being behind the lens. My original interest was in war photography, but five years ago I stumbled into wedding photography and became instantly hooked. Complete opposites, I know!
I joined the U.S. Army directly out of high school and served two tours in Iraq in the infantry. While I was in the army, I had the opportunity to travel throughout Europe and the Middle East, camera in hand, and developed a passion for experiencing different cultures and customs. One of my goals is to travel to as many countries as I am old. I am currently at 30 countries with just two more to go!
I have a serious soft spot for dogs as well, and have a passion project called Barks Abroad. I also volunteer for a veteran-owned and operated non-profit organization called Task Force ISO which helps promote photography as a means for veterans to tackle PTSD.
A few more fun facts about me: I have a Shitzu named Dusty Bottoms, and yes, I know this is not the typical dog you expect for an army grunt, but he just gets me. I have a black belt in Taekwondo, have been snow skiing since I was four, and I have a beautiful girl friend who always continues to amaze me.
If you think that I might be a good fit for you and your wedding, please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. I look forward to hearing from and getting to know you.

I will admit that we only have the preview shots for the wedding, but they are already so incredible! I have no doubt that the rest of the pictures will be just as amazing.Sent on 08/06/2018
Courtland shot our adventure wedding and hiked all of his equipment to 11600ft. He even helped us carry our 13 yr old dog when she got tuckered out from the hike.
He made us laugh and smile the entire time. He is laid back, energetic and is great at capturing those subtle special moments. His pricing was incredibly reasonable and we are so happy that he was part of our day! Thanks Courtland!

Unique, Brilliant, Incredible Photography
Courtland is beyond talented...Sent on 02/21/2019
We wanted a photographer that had a unique sense of style, art, photography; someone who takes one-of-a-kind photographs, capturing emotion and detail in an exquisite way. We didn't want the same wedding pictures that everyone else seems to have. We got exactly what we wanted when we brought Courtland on to help form our team of amazing vendors. Courtland spent 3 hours with us for our engagement shoot, which turned out incredible, and we knew just from that, that we were going to have the most amazing, beautiful, unique wedding photos. Sure enough, our wedding photos took our breath away. We've never seen any other pictures like these. Courtland listened to our wishes and desires, and captured everything we asked for, as well as extra shots that we couldn't imagine not having. Courtland met with us three separate times before the wedding to go over photo lists, timelines, pinterest ideas, and just to get to know us better. We formed a friendship with Courtland that will last for years to come. The second shooter that Courtland brought to help capture our day was wonderful as well - Marla knew exactly what she was doing and she and Courtland worked together perfectly. Courtland even came over to our home and spend hours with us for our photo reveal - super fun! He has a great personality that makes things feel comfortable, fun and effortless. We are beyond lucky that we had such a wonderful, professional photographer to capture our day, and a friendship that continues to carry on all of the wonderful memories. Absolutely, 111% recommend Courtland Photography for your special day.

Wonderful Wedding Photographer! Muse Events loves Courtland photography, and would highly recommend.
Courtland and his team were so fantastic to work with! They go above and beyond every event, with such a great eye for scenery and techniques that really make couples stand out. Their unique sense of style paired well with our unique venue, every image was flawlessly executed. Now we have amazing photos we can use for wedding promotion for years to come! I'm definitely looking forward to working with them again in the future.
Courtland is a real photography professional. I say that because I work with a lot of photographers that get good photos, but at the expense of the event. Courtland knows how to get amazing photos while not being too intrusive with his camera or flash. His photos are great and he is friendly, creative, and quick on the fly. I recommend Courtland to any couple looking for photography!
