Courtland was my DREAM wedding photographer. When we were looking for wedding photographers, I remember looking at his portfolio and being wowed by how he sees the world. He is truly a visionary who sees the world in such a unique way. He focuses on documenting the emotions and realness of the day which resulted in a masterpiece of wedding photos. Along with the photos, he has such a warm and caring personality. He made every moment of shooting feel comfortable and care-free. Definitely don't sleep on this photographer! He's truly one of the best. -

There is no pressure like the Find-The-Perfect-Wedding-Photographer pressure, amIright? Lucky for us, we had been following Courtland’s work on social media for years and knew he had what it took to check all the boxes on our Wedding Photo Wish List.
The big question mark? He resides in Northern California, and we were getting married in the bright lights of Las Vegas.
Turns out, the “question mark” wasn’t really a question mark at all. Courtland immediately hopped on a call with us and chatted through our dream itinerary. He was flexible, walking us through all possible options to ensure we felt comfortable and taken care of - even before we officially signed on.
…And signing on was the best decision we could have made.
As a more non-traditional bride and groom with a space/desert themed venue in Las Vegas (yes, you read that right), we asked for a mix of funky, non-traditional photos, with some of the more traditional wedding shots mixed in.
Man, did Courtland deliver.
Without question, Courtland managed to capture EXACTLY what we wanted. Even in the pouring rain, he led us through 3 different Las Vegas locations professionally and effortlessly. Courtland quite literally turned rain into rainbows, managing to transform nightmare weather (it does not rain in the desert in November, they say) into our most magical, cherished shots.
From the very first message to the final gallery, Courtland was lightning-fast to respond, engaging, and — most importantly — genuinely excited for our big day.
And the final photos? Unreal. His unique style and attention to detail blew us away — creative, artistic, and so very us. Our friends and family cannot stop raving about them and how well he captured the authentic Trevor and Angela.
Trust us when we say: hire him. Your future self (and your photo album) will thank you.

Courtland was a fantastic photographer for our wedding and engagement! We had the honor of getting to work with Courtland for our engagement photos. He was great at capturing the special moment while staying hidden, so it was a complete surprise! He made us feel so comfortable and was able to help us position and move in ways that lead to fantastic photos. We loved our engagement session and were amazed by the photos we received – including a quick first look that we could use to share the big news with our friends and family! When it came time for our wedding, choosing a photographer was a no-brainer. Courtland was easy to communicate with and answered all our questions before we officially hired him. He even had some great recommendations for wedding planning, which we used and helped greatly down the line! He came out on his own time to see our wedding venue and plan shots for the day to make the chaotic wedding day that much easier. On the wedding day, he arrived early to capture the entire day! He has a talent for disarming people and quickly building relationships that make his photography sessions feel effortless and natural. This became ever more clear while he worked with the wedding party and got them to have fun while on camera. He is great at creating a fun atmosphere and also directing people so it never feels awkward. He also got some incredibly unique shots that most photographers wouldn’t even consider, but that turned out incredible! Throughout the day he was sure to always be alongside but never interfering with the action, capturing all the best moments. He is moving between people, running up and down hills, and right on the dance floor to ensure he doesn't miss a single cherished moment. Courtland is also funny and personable which makes these shared experiences that much more enjoyable. Although he is a pleasure to work with, his photos are truly what make him special. He brings to life a scene with his photos and edits. You can feel the magic and be transported right back to the day when you look at his photos. There is something so unique in his shots and his editing; and it is not just the artistry but also the love you can feel that he pours into each of his clients. From the moment I met Courtland I knew I wanted him to capture our wedding. We did our engagement photos where Courtland treated us to lunch and got to get to know him before he even picked up the camera. Courtland embraced adventure and made our engagement session extremely memorable!

Our search frankly wasn’t difficult - it began and ended with Courtland!
When we first started thinking about photographers, we were looking for someone personal, for someone who could capture the beauty in the little moments, and someone that could take our breath away with one picture.
There was not a more important decision to us than selecting a photographer! Finding Courtland Photography was a needle in a haystack of photographers in the area; HOWEVER, Courtland’s stunning, award-winning photographs paired along with his genuine personality made this the easiest decision for our wedding.
As my husband is also an Army veteran like Courtland, they bonded over their time while we drank wine prior to our engagement photos. Courtland spent more time than I expected getting to know us before taking our pictures - he wanted to ensure that he KNEW us, not just how we met, where we live, what we do. After that, it was a breeze to work with him. Our engagement photos were filled with many laughs, touching moments, and jaw-dropping pictures.
Fast forward to a year later for our wedding day and Courtland was, again, nothing but amazing to work with. We’ve already received our sneak peeks (just 5 days after the wedding day) and we’re in AWE!! He captured the little moments of our nieces dancing in rain puddles all the way through the end of the evening being surrounded by our family and friends on the dance floor.

My husband and I had the immense privilege of working with Courtland Wilson for our engagement shoot and our wedding day. We first met Courtland when he was the photographer for our friend’s wedding and after seeing the results of their photos we KNEW we wanted him to be our photographer as well. HIs work product really speaks for itself, but his professionalism and excellence make him the ONLY CHOICE for your wedding and engagement photos.
Cortland does a fantastic job of really getting to know you and your partner's style, desired look and feel of your photos, and truly makes you feel at ease when taking photos that you will treasure for a lifetime.
On top of that, I can not tell you how many people at our wedding reception gave props and kudos to Courtland. My grandma in particular was astounded with how friendly, courteous and kind he was to everyone at the ceremony and reception. She noted how on top of things he was, how he really did his best to get photos of all the guests, while ensuring the most special moments were captured while also blending into the setting - not disrupting or blocking anyone’s view of important moments. Sharing photos from Courtland with our family and friends has been such a treat and we can not thank him enough for capturing our special day and making our photos truly feel like a reflection of us.

Courtland was my dream photographer but with him being in California and we were in Colorado I didn't think I'd be able to afford him. But after no luck with local photographers I called Courtland and that was the best decision. Courtland was available every step of the way. From our first zoom call to him arriving in Colorado for our big day. He reached out throughout the planning process keeping things on a great timeline to getting certain aspects complete. He took the time to get to know us as a couple in great detail and asked questions no other photographer had asked. Our pictures turned out Amazing and we got so many compliments and people were amazed with the final product. Courtland helped ease my mind on the big day he showed up and was checking in with me he even got me food and drinks while I was in make up. I couldn't have asked for a better photographer for our engagement shoot. Originally, we won a 1 hour shoot, but since we liked Courtland so much, we decided to do an extra paid hour. Not only did he make us feel comfortable for our very first photoshoot together, but he went above and beyond to make sure we got the shots that we had envisioned. Prior to the day of the shoot, he met up with us twice to go over our vision and expectations. We were able to bring our dog and have him be a part of our pictures as well!

Courtland was our only first choice after our initial phone call with him. As ex-military, he had a lot in common with my fiance as well as my whole family which made talking to him exceptionally easy. We did our engagement shoot almost a week ago and we were so impressed with Courtland. We met with him about an hour before our shoot to sit and talk and it really made the whole session a lot less awkward. Courtland is such a genuine guy, it felt like hanging out with an old friend. Once we started our photo session he had such great ideas for natural poses and really made us feel comfortable and not too posed. Courtland is beyond amazing! We had a few things that pushed our photo shoot out and he was happy to accommodate and change dates, as needed. He was great at communicating and keeping in touch, leading up to the day of our shoot.
The day of our shoot, we hung out and talked for a bit before we started. That really helped to ease into things. When we started the shoot we didn’t even really notice because it happened so organically, starting with our daughter running to & from us. We all had the best time with it!
We just cannot say enough great things about Courtland! He’s an all around great guy and he’s an animal lover, so that already puts him high on my list. He’s funny, genuine, friendly, accommodating, attentive, and professional. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone! -

When I/we were looking to hire a wedding photographer we didn’t want photography that was boring or stuffy. We didn’t want a photographer that would simply check off a list. We wanted and needed a photographer that would take the time to talk with us and get to know us. We wanted a photographer that would bring his/her own personality into our event and the photos. We wanted a photographer that would be a part of our special day so that the truest and most special parts of our day would be captured and understood in the moment. I can't say enough great things about Courtland. We had him photograph both our engagement/maternity photos and our wedding and everything turned out beautiful. Working with him is fun and easy. At our wedding we hardly noticed him (during the ceremony, at dinner, cake cutting, first dance, etc.), but he captured it all! He has amazing attention to detail and brought our wedding day to life. I cried when we got our photos back because every single moment is detailed. The colors are vibrant, his work with light is incredible, and I loved all of the candid shots he got of us and our friends and family. We were a little hesitant to hire someone that didn't come recommended from a friend but we loved Courtland's photos~ being a photographer myself I can be VERY picky. We reached out to Courtland & immediately loved his energy & enthusiasm. We explained our concerns about hiring him, site unseen but in one phone call he managed to put our fears to rest~ deposit sent!
We couldn't have been more impressed with Courtland's can do attitude, he took the time to get to know us in several phone calls before out photoshoot so he had a good idea of our personality's.The day of our shoot flew by~ we had so much fun! The photos Courtland took were amazing!! He captured our personalities, our love & silliness. There was never a time we weren't laughing and having fun. He put us as ease and made sure we were having a great time all while snapping photos we will cherish forever.

Courtland is beyond talented...
We wanted a photographer that had a unique sense of style, art, photography; someone who takes one-of-a-kind photographs, capturing emotion and detail in an exquisite way. We didn't want the same wedding pictures that everyone else seems to have. We got exactly what we wanted when we brought Courtland on to help form our team of amazing vendors. Courtland spent 3 hours with us for our engagement shoot, which turned out incredible, and we knew just from that, that we were going to have the most amazing, beautiful, unique wedding photos. Sure enough, our wedding photos took our breath away. We've never seen any other pictures like these. Courtland listened to our wishes and desires, and captured everything we asked for, as well as extra shots that we couldn't imagine not having. Courtland met with us three separate times before the wedding to go over photo lists, timelines, pinterest ideas, and just to get to know us better. We formed a friendship with Courtland that will last for years to come. The second shooter that Courtland brought to help capture our day was wonderful as well - Marla knew exactly what she was doing and she and Courtland worked together perfectly. Courtland even came over to our home and spend hours with us for our photo reveal - super fun! He has a great personality that makes things feel comfortable, fun and effortless. We are beyond lucky that we had such a wonderful, professional photographer to capture our day, and a friendship that continues to carry on all of the wonderful memories. Rad Sent on 08/06/2018I will admit that we only have the preview shots for the wedding, but they are already so incredible! I have no doubt that the rest of the pictures will be just as amazing.
Courtland shot our adventure wedding and hiked all of his equipment to 11600ft. He even helped us carry our 13 yr old dog when she got tuckered out from the hike.
He made us laugh and smile the entire time. He is laid back, energetic and is great at capturing those subtle special moments. His pricing was incredibly reasonable and we are so happy that he was part of our day! Thanks Courtland! -

Communication was always prompt and professional, and he was easy to work with and talk to. My husband and I are very pleased with the pictures. Lots of shots of the guests at the reception, and he stayed a few extra minutes to get pictures of the cake cutting! Would love to work with Courtland again in the future.

Courtland was the best photographer we could have asked for! He first did our engagement shoot where he made us feel at ease and after just a few hours he felt like an old friend. He was very detail oriented and made sure he recreated every photo that I asked for on a shared Pinterest album, and added extra photos that exceeded my expectations. During the 1.5 yrs between the shoot and our wedding he kept in contact and allowed us to have a payment plan that kept it easier to afford. At the wedding he kept us on track and made sure that the entire list of photos that I wanted with friends and family were achieved. He also danced while changing camera settings to the Cupid Shuffle and all of my guests thought of him more as an added guest than a photographer by the end. I honestly have no regrets and everyone I have shown the photos to have been in awe of it all.
