We used the Colonial Inn for our lodging for family and wedding party, as well as some of our guests. Andrea and the staff were wonderful. All were very helpful. When I realized during my reception that I forgot to check in to my own suite for the night, The Smithville and Colonial Inns worked to make sure I was checked in and had a key. The breakfast baskets were a hit with guests and it was so nice to be able to eat outside with my mom and bridesmaids that morning before getting ready.

The Colonial Inn at Smithville was truly great – the staff was friendly and accommodating, every room was unique and well kept, and the included amenities such as the complimentary breakfasts we received were wonderful. The layout of the multiple subsidiary rooms belonging to the Colonial Inn can be a bit confusing at first, but the staff was beyond helpful in providing directions. Our room was The Cottage – a part of the further away “Barn” section of the Colonial Inn; it was a nice getaway from all of the happenings at the end of the day, and provided us a comforting, cozy feel apart from an ordinary hotel room. We highly recommend staying at The Colonial Inn at Smithville, especially if you plan to be married on-premises. The fact that your and your guests’ lodging is a mere walking distance from the wedding venue is a positive enough experience; add to that experience a bit of history and rustic charm, and the Colonial Inn earns a great rating!

We stayed at the Colonial Inn the night before our wedding and the night of our wedding. We stayed in the Johnson Suite 201 which was a beautiful and large suite. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My girls and I also got ready in this room and it was a great place for the photographers to capture pictures. This was a very convenient location since our wedding was right at the Smithville Inn. We highly recommend this venue, you will not be disappointed!
