About

On WeddingWire since 2016

Nestled away on the western side of the Bristol Peninsula in Midcoast Maine in the tiny village of Walpole, you will find Clark’s Cove Farm & Inn. We are an 81 acre estate and wedding venue with 30 acres of groomed, rolling meadows and lawns, flowing perennial gardens, 51 acres of woods complete with trails, a 6 acre 500 tree apple orchard and over 700 feet of fresh water frontage. It is said by many to be the pastoral jewel of Midcoast Maine.

Seated upon a ridge, a 1790 Federal style home and a Circa 1860’s barn complete with an 840 square foot deck command a breathtaking vista reminiscent of a Hudson period painting. The old cider mill in the barn has been refitted into two tastefully appointed apartments complete with all the amenities required for a peaceful retreat and may be rented by the night or by the week during your wedding celebration. Our barn offers 2,000 square feet of floor space to host your event. The barn kitchen, equipped with a professional grade Garland stove, will meet the needs of the most demanding caterer. The grounds and gardens are impeccably manicured and enclosed by field stone walls that suggest the ambience of Wales in times past. We believe that this is truly a magical setting to host any event destined to be memorable and an unmatched retreat destination that will stop time.

Wander through the gardens, explore the miles of freshly cut trails, gaze through the window on the covered bridge and watch the water rush (in the spring), kayak or canoe, take a nap in the hammock waters edge, fish for large mouth bass, paint, bird watch .. just breathe.

We encourage you to browse our website and to view the slideshow and video to capture a glimpse of what it is all about.

Again, our thanks for considering Clark’s Cove Farm & Inn

Feels like home, but so much better!

First and foremost, the farm's managers, Skip and Holly, make you feel like they are helping plan their family's wedding, rather than your's. They care that much.
Secondly, the barn, accommodations, orchard, gardens etc are so beautifully rustic, and warm. And, in very good condition.
Finally, this venue becomes your home away from home for 48hrs. It is a place that you can settle into, and know that your guests will embrace its charm and gorgeousness just as much as you do.

Skip and Holly were really amazing! They are so genuine and really cared about our event and its success. The farm is very beautiful and the owner Tim really tries to keep the orchard, gardens, and barn unique spaces where couples can share their special events with family and friends. Staying on the property was really lovely and we really recommend the venue to couples looking for a space that they can really enjoy for a day or even longer- we did lawn games and had friends stay in the carriage house on the property to really enjoy what the venue had to offer. The surroundings were really ideal. I cannot say enough about Skip and Holly. They are a joy to work with and I am very lucky to know them and have had them as a part of helping my day be the personalized and special event we wanted it to be. Though we expected 60 mph winds and lots of stormy weather. Skip took precautions behind the scenes to really make sure we were unaware of the possible bad weather issues.

Oh my goodness, where to begin? My husband and I have always talked about getting married at Clark's Cove, and we were so thrilled to find out that they were available for our October wedding. The grounds are absolutely breathtaking and offer so many options for ceremony/photograph locations. We also appreciated the ability to stay on-site, and we put up most of our bridal party on-site, as well. What a treat not to have to worry about transportation to or from any of our wedding events!

Holly was my go-to during the planning process. She was always responsive via phone and e-mail, and was so helpful with answers and suggestions. We visited the orchard 2-3 times in the year before the wedding and she was always flexible in accommodating our schedule for those visits and showing us around.

Skip was our go-to the weekend of the wedding. He facilitated all of the setup, last-minute added an arbor for our ceremony, and answered approximately 1,000 questions. Day-of, we ran into a snag with our reception timeline and Skip made some suggestions that ultimately made more sense than what we had originally planned. He was somehow everywhere: moving chairs from the ceremony to the reception, making sure the caterer had everything she needed, coordinating with the DJ, bringing our gifts & cards upstairs to our room so they wouldn't get lost in the shuffle, setting off fireworks, and probably a million other things we didn't even see that made the day run smoother. We agreed on our way home that Skip was the MVP of the entire weekend.

We could not have been happier with our experience at Clark's Cove. Holly and Skip went out of their way to make sure the entire weekend was beautiful and stress-free, and we can't thank them enough!
