Christy's Cottage Floral Boutique is a wedding floristry service based out of Mechanicsville, Virginia.
We are a boutique florist specializing in weddings and events offering fresh floral, custom silk floral, and silk floral rental from six collections. Because we specialize in events and weddings and do not have the daily distractions a retail florist often has, you can be sure the planning and design for your day will receive our full attention.
We absolutely love fresh floral and would highly recommend it! But, there are reasons to choose silk floral rental over DIY or fresh floral. Silk floral rental gives you all of the beauty at a reduced cost and results in less waste for the environment.
With silk flowers, we absolutely know what your flowers will look like on the day we deliver them. You can even come and see them prior to your event. With fresh flowers, the availability of flowers and colors is often limited to things beyond our control.

Hi, my name is Christy and I am the owner of Christy's Cottage Floral Boutique. I discovered I had a passion for floral arrangement during the pandemic. My husband and I planted about 80 roses in our yard that year and I began making fresh floral arrangements for the nursing unit I worked on at the time. Since then, I have taken formal classes in floral arrangement. When people see my work, even though I was a nurse and they worked with me, they would always tell me, "I think you missed your calling." Well, now I am answering that calling. I love to make people smile with my arrangements. Making people smile with something you made specially for them is one of the best feelings you ever have.
While I have been a nurse for 23 years, it is time to retire from nursing but there are some things that will never change. I have worked with many different people during my 20 years, including diverse couples, cultures, and LGBTQ people. I value all people and am happy to work with all people.
Fun facts about me....we live in a yellow house (not a yellow submarine) and have three Shih Tzus. They helped with some of the wedding pics! They love treats and love meeting new people!
