When searching for a wedding photographer, the pressure is on! It is such a monumental task to find someone to document the biggest day of your life. These are the photos you will look at for the rest of your life, display in your house, and share with your future children. After meeting Christen and Patrick at our engagement session, a huge amount of my pre-wedding stress immediately dissipated. The pictures are perfect-they capture every emotion and know how to position everyone to look their best! Beyond that, Christen is an angel! She knows how to command a crowd (so necessary in large family shots) and is super accommodating when it comes to getting everything you want captured! Receiving our wedding photos was almost as exciting as the actual wedding-the most amazing shots, not overly edited, over exposed, or any or that gauzy wedding look you sometimes get. Just really good photos, and great people behind the camera.

Christen Smith is not only an amazing photographer but an incredible person as well. With Covid and all of the troubles we were having moving our wedding last year, Christen was accomodating, kind, and never missed a beat. She was able to be our photographer for our new wedding date, and wow, I am forever glad. We were easily able to add extra hours onto our package, and she dealt with my small family wedding with such grace and efficiency! Her husband Patrick was also awesome in doing everything from holding my mask to taking amazing pictures as well!! I received my photos in record time and love, love, love my photo album I ordered. I look at the pictures Christen took everyday, and I would pick her in a heartbeat if I had to do it all over again! Saying that Christen and Patrick were fantastic is an understatement. We met them at a coffee shop in Raleigh and Christen patiently answered all of my intense questions, thoughts and ideas. SHe was so kind and it felt like my fiancé and I were meeting with some old friends. I can write a book but fast forward to our engagement shoot, my bridal portraits and ultimately our wedding day. Christen is a true professional the way she works, but she and Patrick are so down to earth and so many of our shoots were spent laughing and talking. At the wedding they were not intrusive at all - I’ve been to weddings where it feels like the bride and groom are surrounded by cameras and you can’t even see those small moments during the ceremony. These moments are so delicate and if not taken well, it can ruin the whole experience, especially when wedding guests get turned off. Christen and Patrick were there with us, making it fun and an exciting experience. They do not disappoint. I was a very Type A bride, had millions of notes, thoughts and concerns for the wedding day (I don’t even want to look back on the many emails and texts I sent her in the midst of planning) but Christen completely worked with me to capture my vision, while also making sure I had nothing to worry about. After the fact, we have gotten so many compliments on how sweet our wedding photographers were and how they can’t wait to see photos. We recently got our full wedding gallery back and it is everything and more we hoped it would be. And yes, the family and friends are going nuts with our photos. Truly, we are so blessed that we found Christen and Patrick and could not recommend them more to capture your life’s special moments. Hopefully we’ll get to model for them again someday!
