We hired Chris to photograph our wedding after seeing him in action at the weddings of several friends, where he not only shot gorgeous photos but managed to capture the people we love looking happy, comfortable, and like themselves—not a given on a sometimes high-stress day but so, so important. Now I know firsthand how he does it: he is simply one of the kindest, most competent people I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with, and both his experience and his genuine enjoyment of what he does really shines through.

Shooting with Chris and his second shooter, Lizzi, felt like hanging with friends and getting world-class photos as a bonus. I’m relatively self-conscious and had been quite nervous about photos, but they found the perfect balance of directing me and my husband into flattering poses and fading into the background to capture organic moments of affection. The result: photos we’ll treasure for the rest of our lives—of us, and of our loved ones, who they did a fantastic job of corralling during the post-ceremony chaos. I’m embarrassed to admit that I didn’t give Chris much of a shot list in advance, and even then, he was able to manage a total stampede of friends and relatives with authority and ease. Remarkably, given the lack of direction, we ended up with basically all of the shots that we wanted!

And then there are the candid moments that we wouldn’t have thought to capture—teary hugs with loved ones, our friends breaking it down in unison on the dance floor, plus some wild action shots from our welcome party, which included live horses and a mechanical bull! Somehow, Chris and Lizzi were in the right place every time, popping up to catch the looks of surprise and joy at the exact right moment. They not only captured our whole weekend beautifully, they actively made it better with their professionalism and positivity. Can’t recommend highly enough!

It is difficult to believe, yet, taking the family photos before our son's bar mitzvah party was fun and a relaxing part of the evening. The pictures show the happiness we were all sharing. Thank you Chris
