Chic Productions is a boutique planning firm with locations in Huntington Beach and Palm Desert, covering all of Southern California. Our record of excellence spans for more than a decade with couples from all over the globe that we now call friends. (And now for a story! We once had a Groom ride in behind a team of sled dogs to his Indian wedding ceremony (horses and elephants...yeah we've done that.) We then configured seating on the ceremony lawn to incorporate the largest wedding party we've had to date along with more guests than the lawn had space for...but that didn't stop us. (See the time lapse in our video section.) Then we created event after event throughout the day that were unique and different from all the other events from the previous days, all while stretching our client's budget by repurposing and re-using as much as we could. So maybe my feet didn't fit into my shoes by the end of the night...but everyone, even the vendors, re-live that glorious day. In our minds every wedding is magical and it is our honor to make that happen.)

Michelle Provided a Memorable and Meaningful Experience
My husband Jon and I did thorough research before selecting our wedding planner. Palm Springs was a going to be destination wedding for us so we wanted to choose a planner who had great local connections, open to customizations that come with a gay wedding, and was down to earth. We knew we were going to be spending a lot of time with this person and wanted it to feel like we had a friend that was looking out for us along the way. That’s exactly what we got with Michelle!
From the start, Michelle impressed us not just with her organization and expertise but also with how well she listened and took into account our personal styles. There wasn’t a single moment in the process where we felt pressured. She was flexible with her schedule, which was key since we were limited with how often we could travel to Palm Springs. She was also open to video calls when we couldn’t meet in person.
We were looking for a unique wedding from the start so Michelle’s knowledge of vendors and realistic prices was key. When we were initially planning our budget online, the price ranges vary so widely so Michelle really helped us narrow that list down and prioritize what we should be doing and when.
We spent a year planning and were devastated when COVID hit the week of our wedding. We went from a 100 person event to an intimate ceremony in the desert with just our parents in attendance. I don’t think we could have made it through those final weeks if it wasn’t for Michelle working with our vendors and calming our nerves. We had developed such a close relationship with Michelle that she ended up being the officiant in our ceremony! We look at that those pictures now and are so happy because of the amount of time and thoughtfulness she put into making that day as special as could it could be.
