Designing weddings is a dream come true of mine, but it’s far more than the perfect color scheme and dreamy florals. I love connecting with couples and helping them create a design that speaks to the core of who they are as a couple. Getting to know where they met, what they love about one another, and what inspires them to create an evening of awe for them to look back on for years to come is why I love my job.

I founded Carter’s Event Co. to create opportunities for people, to give couples the chance to enjoy the wedding planning process, and to provide a space for creatives to be able to do what they love where they’re at. Those who know me well know that authenticity and being present in the moment are two things that I care deeply about. Whether I’m with my family, friends, coworkers, or one of my couples, I want to be fully present, giving all of myself to those in front of me. I love cultivating an atmosphere for those around me to be inspired to live their dreams.

As Carter’s Event Co.’s Lead Planner and Designer, Ashley hones her creative eye and master organizational skills to serve our couples through every step of the planning process. Whether you work with her three months out or from the day you say “I do,” she is the kind of magic-maker that you want on your team. Ashley is passionate about showing her couples that the planning + engagement season of your journey to the altar can (and should) be painless and enjoyable.

Ashley received her Bachelor of Science degree in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management from Clemson University. She first discovered her love for wedding planning through planning her own wedding (yes, she’s that amazing). She has worked for event planners as well as venues in the Greenville area before joining the team at CEC.

A Greenville, SC native, Ashley enjoys spending time with her husband, Stephen, their adorable goldendoodle, Arvo, and her incredibly tight-knit family.
