We loved working with Carolyn because she has a calming personality that provides an anchor to the busyness of wedding preparations. My wife and I aren’t the biggest fans of having our picture taken, but Carolyn helped us to feel very comfortable during our engagement shoot. She gave us great direction in figuring out how to pose when we were clueless. We were confident going into our wedding day because those engagement photos are some of our favorite pictures of us to date.

As for the wedding day, Carolyn and her team worked together to create an incredible array of images that documented the joy, laughter and bliss of the celebration. Even with a venue change from ceremony to reception, they didn’t miss a thing.

And in the most stressful moment of the day, Carolyn didn’t miss a beat. The clasp of my wife’s wedding dress broke, and Carolyn actually drew blood helping my mother-in-law sew her into the dress. She remained positive and professional – we couldn’t have done it without her.

I would be remiss not to mention the turnaround time – Carolyn got back to us with the photos from the engagement session and wedding day at least a week before we expected them each time.

We hired Carolyn for our wedding and we are pleased beyond words with her work. Our wedding was changed because of Covid- from a huge wedding of 200 guests to a hopeful backyard wedding some day in the future when the virus subsides. With all of the uncertainty, Carolyn still flew to DC to photograph us in our wedding attire in the town where we met so that we would still have summer wedding pictures!! She was SO kind, made us SO comfortable, and showed such genuine interest in taking photos in places where we had significant memories. This town where we met, lived and worked together held so many stories and her pictures captured it so perfectly I could cry. I truly cannot stop looking at them. Whatever your photography needs, take away all your stress and worries by hiring Carolyn! Pre-event, she is extremely communicative and professional. She offered ideas for photos, helped me brainstorm/problem solve, and even communicated with other vendors. Day-of event, Carolyn was so fun to work with and everyone loved her. She was really efficient and organized with all the family photos. During the couple photos, she went along with our vibe and the photos definitely captured "us". She was also more directive when we didn't quite know what to do, which was really helpful. She was also very inconspicuous with her photo taking . I didn't see her once during the ceremony, though when we received the photos, there were so many wonderful moment captured from all angles of the church. I couldn't believe she was able to get the photos she did! Post-event, Carolyn followed up in exactly the timeline she gave. The photo gallery is easily accessible, well-organized, easy to share, and the photos are amazing. I love the candids she captured, the quality of the photos, and how the photos reflect exactly the day. Looking through the gallery of photos made us feel like we were reliving the day! Personally, Carolyn is easy going, thoughtful, witty, and genuine. She's the very best!
