  Phenomenal photos and an overall experience that was calming and enjoyable. We loved working with Carolyn for our engagement and wedding photos!

  Carolyn is one of those people who is both professional and personable. She really listens to what her clients want and also guides them with her expert advice. We loved working with Carolyn because she has a calming personality that provides an anchor to the busyness of wedding preparations. Her photos are also timeless and intimate - we cannot wait to have them displayed in our home for decades to come! I would absolutely recommend Carolyn to any brides out there!

  Exceeded our expectations

  We hired Carolyn for our wedding and we are pleased beyond words with her work. My husband and I are both awkward and shy when it comes to taking photos and Carolyn made us feel comfortable and took initiative in giving us poses for our portraits. She always had a smile on her face and somehow managed to perfectly capture every special moment of our day. We received our whole gallery before the agreed upon deadline and we’re blown away by the results. We cannot wait to use her for our future family photos!

  Genuinely Sweet

  If you are looking for a photographer who will capture your heart as well as your wedding, this is the photographer for you. She and her assistant were lovely! They have thought to the lightening, our needs, and while there, we’re never obtrusive in either the ceremony or the reception!!

  Absolutely Amazing Photographer!!!

  Carolyn was by far the BEST decision I made!!! To start, she made our engagement photos so much fun! We met her that day for our engagement shoot and she made us feel like we’ve known her for years! On our wedding day, Carolyn was AMAZING!!! She was so patient, flexible, energetic, kind and outgoing! Our wedding party was 20 people, and Carolyn was so patient with all the craziness. She was very professional and directive, but also so much fun! She took time to take every picture we asked of her.
  If you are looking for a photographer in Tallahassee, or surround areas, book Carolyn!!! You will not regret it!

  Phenomenal!

  Hiring Carolyn as our wedding photographer was probably the best decision we made throughout our entire planning process. She captured the day PERFECTLY. Carolyn did both our engagement session and our day of photos and we cannot say enough good things about them! We LOVE our wedding photos. It was truly so hard to narrow it down to a few favorites to hang in our home. Not only is Carolyn crazy talented, she's the easiest person to work with. She's professional, affordable, kind, and makes you feel so comfortable as she captures the perfect moments. She went above and beyond on our wedding day and we are so, so fortunate to have worked with her!

  Highly recommended for professionalism, expertise, and creativity

  Whatever your photography needs, take away all your stress and worries by hiring Carolyn! Pre-event, she is extremely communicative and professional. She offered ideas for photos, helped me brainstorm/problem solve, and even communicated with other vendors. Day-of event, Carolyn was so fun to work with and everyone loved her. She was really efficient and organized with all the family photos. During the couple photos, she went along with our vibe and the photos definitely captured "us". She was also more directive when we didn't quite know what to do, which was really helpful. She was also very inconspicuous with her photo taking . I didn't see her once during the ceremony, though when we received the photos, there were so many wonderful moment captured from all angles of the church. I couldn't believe she was able to get the photos she did! Post-event, Carolyn followed up in exactly the timeline she gave. The photo gallery is easily accessible, well-organized, easy to share, and the photos are amazing. I love the candids she captured, the quality of the photos, and how the photos reflect exactly the day. Looking through the gallery of photos made us feel like we were reliving the day! Personally, Carolyn is easy going, thoughtful, witty, and genuine. She's the very best!

  Carolyn did such an amazing job photographing our wedding! She took our engagement photos prior to our wedding and we knew then that we had made the right choice. She is so kind and easy going and she really makes you feel comfortable while being photographed. All of our wedding party commented on how great she was to work with. Her photographs are beautiful and they capture each moment perfectly. Can't wait to use her again for a future photography session!

  The best!!

  Our wedding was changed because of Covid- from a huge wedding of 200 guests to a hopeful backyard wedding some day in the future when the virus subsides. With all of the uncertainty, Carolyn still flew to DC to photograph us in our wedding attire in the town where we met so that we would still have summer wedding pictures!! She was SO kind, made us SO comfortable, and showed such genuine interest in taking photos in places where we had significant memories. This town where we met, lived and worked together held so many stories and her pictures captured it so perfectly I could cry. I truly cannot stop looking at them. We can’t wait to work with Carolyn again!

  Carolyn has a knack for catching beautiful memories!

  We used Carolyn for our engagement photos and wedding photos and to say she has left me speechless is an understatement! She captured so many beautiful moments that we now will have forever. She was a dream to work with - easygoing, professional, and by the end she makes you feel as if you’ve been friends for years! Her organization for pictures day of the wedding made things go so smoothly. She was also extremely flexible and understanding as we had to reschedule our wedding three times due to COVID-19. I cannot recommend her enough! Thank you Carolyn for bringing our memories back to life! 🤍👏🏼

  Phenomenal photos - I can't stop looking at them!

  Carolyn was professional and friendly to work with. She directed me well to get some really great poses and captured frames that not only showcased me and my significant other beautifully but also took advantage of the scenery around us. Highly recommend.

  We chose Carolyn to photograph our wedding based on her gorgeous portfolio. Not only did she capture our day beautifully, she is also so very kind, down to earth, and fun!   Before our engagement photos, my fiancé casually said "good photographers come a dime a dozen". Then he met Carolyn. I never thought the day I'd take engagement photos would be one of the most memorable and precious days of my life. Carolyn made it just that. Time moves fast, our engagement is moving even faster, and soon I'll be his wife and all of this will be history. But thanks to Carolyn, I'll never forget exactly what this time felt like because her photos will always bring me back to this day. Good photographers...are priceless. Thank you, Miss Allen! You truly are something else.

  Carolyn did my engagement photos, and it was an absolute blast! She does such a great job at making you feel comfortable from the get go. I can't stand when photographers just have you pose and the pictures clearly show it. Carolyn makes every photo truly candid. I would say Carolyn's best quality is that she truly captures the moment in each picture, and each time you look at the photos its like reliving moment again. She will be doing my wedding in January!   Carolyn is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet! She takes the time to get to know you and truly cares about all of her brides. She was very responsive and professional.   Choosing a photographer, the person who would document the most amazing day of our lives, was the hardest decision we made while planning our wedding. We interviewed half a dozen photographers, but we are so happy that we held out for Carolyn. She exudes professionalism and made us feel comfortable from start to finish. She took the time to talk to us and learn "our story." We didn't didn't meet in person until the big day, but when she arrived, it felt like seeing an old friend. In fact, that's what it felt like all day.
  Carolyn did an excellent job of keeping us on schedule, but not stressing when we lagged behind a bit. We were so impressed with her ability to wrangle up the rambunctious groomsmen, which took serious skill. She gave us the perfect amount of direction and was able to capture the most amazing natural moments.
  The morning after the wedding, before seeing any of the pictures, all of our friends and family were telling us how great they thought she was. We agreed with them, but after Carolyn had completed editing all of our pictures we loved her even more! We have friends that waited over six months to get their wedding pictures back, but that was not our experience. Exactly one month after our wedding, half the time that was guaranteed in our contract, we had hundreds of breathtaking photos.

  Carolyn is amazing! She did our photography for our engagement as well as our wedding and she did a fantastic job! Carolyn makes you feel comfortable while shooting and was able to capture our personalities, the beauty of our wedding, and the excitement and joy we had as well. She has great talent and an eye for detail. It is clear that she has taken the time and effort to perfect her craft.   Carolyn is amazing! She did our photography for our engagement as well as our wedding and she did a fantastic job! Carolyn makes you feel comfortable while shooting and was able to capture our personalities, the beauty of our wedding, and the excitement and joy we had as well. She has great talent and an eye for detail. It is clear that she has taken the time and effort to perfect her craft.   I can't recommend Carolyn Allen Photography enough! Besides the beautiful quality of her photography, which speaks for itself, Carolyn was the ultimate professional and very flexible in terms of time and sessions. It poured on our wedding day, so we postponed portraits until our honeymoon and busy work times were over. It was only then that we learned Carolyn was seriously ill during our wedding. We, nor our guests, never suspected that she was anything less than 100%! We can't wait to use Carolyn Allen Photography again!

  Carolyn Allen has captured the best times of my life (Engagement, Wedding, Newborn, and Family)! Her ability to photograph you without even knowing she is there or that you are taking photos is one of my favorite things about working with her. The photos she takes are natural and warm. I feel like this brief review just isn't enough to express how great of a photographer she is! We absolutely cherish all of the photos she has done for us. My family and I highly recommend her!

She had great ideas for locations, poses, and scenery, and she even brought us cold water after our outdoor summer photoshoot. Her editing is spectacular, and she's a flexible photographer to work with. I highly recommend Carolyn!
