We had our wedding here this Fall and it was such a lovely venue. We were looking for something different than your typical hotel ballroom that wasn't ridiculously expensive and this venue was perfect for us. We had 140 guests which is the maximum capacity for the venue and the space was just right. There is an option to have the ceremony outside in the courtyard which is a lovely space. Unfortunately, the weather didn't work out during our wedding day and we had to push the ceremony inside but the interior of the main theater is gorgeous so there is really no downside. Cocktail hour is held within the main gallery upstairs and then the reception is held within the theater. It is a beautiful and warm space and the art on display really adds to the event. The venue provides you with a list of approved caterers (don't worry, there are plenty of excellent options) and being able to choose all of our vendors really allowed us to personalize our wedding. There are also several hotels and a T stop within walking distance so it minimizes transportation and I think many of our guests really appreciated that.
Leading up to the actual event, the staff at CMAC were very responsive and the Production Coordinator, Jeff Robinson, is incredible. He met with us during our walk through and has tons of experience doing events at the venue. He coordinates all of the logistics regarding the building space, including the lighting, and his execution is spot-on. We had a wonderful experience working with CMAC and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a wonderful wedding venue.

The CMAC is beautiful! My husband and I were married there on May 21, and we had a perfect day for an outdoor ceremony. The venue is breathtaking, and with the rental, you get so much space (the entire building -- the main hall, a separate room for cocktail hour, and the terrace/park outside). They were great to work with, and everyone we met was super nice. Our only complaint was about communication -- we paid an extra $100 for an extra hour at the end of the reception (which is an option in the contract), and they kicked us out at the original time (which was a bummer because there were still a ton of people there, and it required our guests hurrying to pack up their belongings -- not classy). I would say, absolutely rent this venue for your wedding, but make sure everyone is on the same page about the contract and the expectations for the night. Also worth mentioning: it is WAY more affordable than it looks, but you do have to choose from their list of caterers (which was fine, because we found the perfect caterer, Tasty Plates).

The venue is an absolutely stunning place to getting married. One can have their ceremony outside in a charming little hidden park and go right into the gorgeous turn of the 20th century building for the reception. However, the communication and helpfulness of the staff was lacking throughout the entire planning process. The venue only provided the venue, some basic lighting, and one extension cord, as well as seemed to promise early on other services, like microphones, that they in fact did not have. Additionally, such annoyances occurred as we were charged for a curtain to hide THEIR piano that could not at any cost be taken out of THEIR room. CMAC is lucky they have such a gorgeous facility. All in all, I would recommend this venue, just know that you are going to have to do all of the leg work and don't freak out when they don't respond to your emails or calls.
