From the moment I started corresponding with Catherine at EAST MEETS WEST to get an estimate last spring, she was responsive, professional and accommodating with what we wanted. I was planning the wedding from out of town, but in 7 months of planning, never had one moment of doubt.

We arranged to pick out our decor and have our tasting on the same day last summer and absolutely everything was superb. Catherine also really helped us achieve the look we wanted (which was a bit different from the usual “white wedding” look).

The week of the wedding was no exception. I had many changes to my seating chart (due to a few guests with Covid) and she was always available, reassuring, responsive to my concerns.

I went to the set up and of course she was there and had the whole team humming at an organized pace.

On the day, everything was PERFECT. I live in Los Angeles and many of my LA and NY friends are still raving about the food and saying it was the best food they had ever had at any wedding.

The servers were all so professional, friendly and delightful, as were the two women running the event (of course, Catherine was there to make sure everything went off without as much as a bump in the road).

If you are getting married in Boston, you must hire EAST MEETS WEST. I have very high standards, but again, it was SPECTACULAR.

We loved that the building has historical significance, panoramic views of the water from the main space, and gave us indoor and outdoor options. We worked with Alanna, who couldn’t have been more helpful and communicative over the course of planning our wedding.

I want to note that the Exchange was FANTASTIC at dealing with food allergies and sensitivities. They provided special services to multiple bridal party members with severe sensitivities and made us feel at ease that the day would go off without a hitch!

We had the most amazing experience with Alyson Frieda and the entire EMW team at the ECC. Alyson was so kind, fun, creative, patient, responsive, and all the things you would want in a wedding planner. She was with us every step of the way from start to finish. We had the most perfect day thanks to her and her amazing team. The venue itself was beautiful inside and out. The food was incredible. All of our guests felt so comfortable and were treated so well. We worked with Allison Frieda and her staff at the Exchange for nearly a year from the day we met her and decided to select the Exchange as the venue to host our daughter's wedding through the wedding ceremony and reception. Allison was a pleaure to deal with, responded to all of our questions, and made useful suggestions to our daughter and our new son-in law that only an experiennced wedding planner would know.
Most importantly, her planning resulted in a wedding that came off without a hitch. She took care of all of the details and kept all of her promises so that the bride and groom and their parents were rewarded with the dream wedding that we had hoped for. She worked seamlessly with the other vendors, including the band, the food preparers, bartenders, the wait staff, florist, and the photographer.

She is thoroughly professional, was calm in the face of our occasional jitters, and epitomized terrific service, for which we will be forever grateful

After having toured countless venues, there was something about the Exchange that made the decision easy for us. Between the central location to Boston's Seaport district, the gorgeous harborview, or the market lights that give the space a great urban aesthetic, deciding to have our wedding here was a no brainer. From then on the entire planning process was seamless and incredibly tailored to make your overall vision a reality. Alanna was absolutely phenomenal along with the rest of the staff at the venue that made for the most incredible evening. Cannot recommend any more!

We had our wedding at the Exchange Conference Center on 11/6/21 and it was absolutely amazing. Our day of coordinator Alanna and the team were so responsive from the beginning to the end and we were so impressed by their work and expertise. Planning a wedding during a pandemic is not easy but Alanna patiently answered all of our questions and made sure that our vision for the wedding was perfectly executed. Our guests all had an amazing time and raved about how amazing the food was. For a young couple paying for the wedding on their own, we could not have dreamed to find a place within our budget in the Boston Seaport but the Exchange Conference Center made that dream possible. I would highly recommend checking out this venue!

We cannot say enough good things about our experience at The Exchange Conference Center. It’s definitely a hidden gem in Boston with a unique and memorable indoor/outdoor wedding option. It’s so Boston and we loved every second! It’s even walking distance to hotels, restaurants, the T, and airport - perfect for out of town guests. We had an outdoor ceremony, outdoor cocktail hour, and indoor reception for 150 guests. Everything from first contact with the venue, working with Lauren Gertz through the planning process (who is fabulous, very organized and so kind), to the actual day was seamless, beautiful, and delicious. It is an East Meets West property, but they are one of the best caterers in town. They were super accommodating to our tastes and preferences. Even our private tasting event blew us out of the water. This venue is very customizable in every aspect. What was most helpful is that you have the whole building throughout the day so my wedding party and I had a space to get ready ALL day. We could even store things there a few days before so we didn’t have to worry about forgetting anything. It was a great experience all-around and I cannot say enough fabulous things about ECC and Lauren!

We have not had out wedding yet but The Exchange has been more than helpful with helping us make important decisions regarding our wedding and dinner rehearsal. We had to change our date early on and they were very accommodating.

My husband and I wanted a non-traditional wedding and a venue that was different. Through a work cocktail hour (outside on the harbor overlooking the airport and city), I found The Exchange and fell in love immediately with the stunning harbor views, floor to ceiling glass windows, and the 3 story high ceiling. When we got engaged, we toured dozens of venues and none of them stood up to my vision. We toured The Exchange and Ryan was as memorized as I was. From the moment you tour the venue, you are provided an Event Coordinator who then works with you throughout the planning process and is there during the wedding to make sure everything is perfect. We were so lucky to have Alanna assigned to our meeting. She went above and beyond with every aspect of our day, she had excellent ideas to help craft a wedding that was unique to Ryan and I. Alanna added to our vision and was encouraging when we had certain requests or when I changed my mind 100 times. She truly loves what she does and I would highly recommend working with her!!

During our tasting, Alanna made recommendations to enhance our tasting menu and worked with us to change the sauces on some of the meats and added that level of detail that sold us and our parents. We knew our guests would be happy, but boy was I wrong, the food surpassed all our of expectations!! Alanna added a Brussel Sprout salad to the tasting (neither of us like brussels), it turned out to be the best salad we have ever had and we are now obsessed with brussels. It was a unanimous decision and the salad was the first item added to our menu. The food catered by East Meets West is DELICIOUS!!! Our guests keep saying that it was the best wedding food they had. Everything came out perfectly and each steak was cooked to perfection with a nice medium rare/medium center (not well done like in most weddings). East Meets West is creative and spends a lot of attention to the tiniest details on the plate. We loved being able to work with Alanna to craft a unique menu including fun hor d'overs and desserts. There are no shortage of options! During the wedding Alanna made sure that two staff followed us during cocktail hour to make sure Ryan and I had plenty of food to eat.

Not only is The Exchange stunning and the food some of the best we have had, the staff made our experience unforgettable! We highly recommend having your wedding here! True Hidden Gem that won't stay hidden for long!!

I can’t say enough good things about The Exchange. We fell in love with this venue the first time we saw it and our wedding this past June exceeded all expectations. Lauren was so easy to work with and made the whole planning process stress free. The placed looked amazing the food was great and I would not have wanted to have my wedding anywhere else. They even have a person solely there to make sure the bride and groom always had food or a drink in hand!
