Cakespirations was created by Pastry Chef Jennifer Friedmann and her husband Andre Friedmann.

Jennifer and Andre both are from New England and came to North Carolina for the beautiful weather. Jennifer brought with her, her love of European pastry and breads. Jennifer had been a Chef previously for many years, starting her career in the culinary arts while in the military during the late 90’s. After bowing out of the industry to raise her children she settled happily into making cakes and treats for her friends and family. After many years she decided it was time to return to school and finish her culinary circle and attend JWU in the Arts of Baking and Pastry.

During her schooling she realized her talent and love of creating sculpted cakes and works of art out of sugar. Jennifer has excelled in the art of poured sugar, pulled sugar and sugar flowers, all of which have helped her to be able to achieve high quality hand crafted wedding cakes.
