The five star reviews are here for a reason - Anna made sure my dress fit perfectly and comfortably, and somehow she just needed one appointment to work her magic (if you’ve done some research, I’m sure you’ve come across some horror stories about having several appointments and still not getting the look/dress the bride may have wanted). I had a second appointment to get a veil from Anna, and this was also a great decision, as we were able to find exactly what I wanted for my ceremony. Anna is punctual and she truly delivers - my wedding dress/wedding day looks were some of my priorities and I was willing to pay a premium for it. Anna takes care of your dress from start to finish - some shops have different people pinning and working on the dress (this can be several people at certain shops, which was not something I was willing to risk). Anna couldn’t have done a better job and I am in love with how the dress turned out - thank you again for your beautiful work, and making my bridal look everything I imagined to be :)

Working with Anna was an amazing experience! She is extremely experienced seamstress and knew exactly what was needed to alter my dress and create a beautiful bustle. She was able to make a few minor adjustments that made the dress sit perfectly. She also took my 6 foot train and made it into a beautiful "barely there" bustle so I could dance the night away. She was so kind and a pleasure to meet with for our fittings. Anna was very organized and had my dress ready in the time she promised. She also helped my bridesmaid at our last fitting with tips on how to help fasten all the buttons on my delicate lace back dress and helped her practice with the bustle. I highly recommend working with Anna!

Anna is an absolute master of her craft, I am so grateful and lucky to have found her to work on my delicate dress. From the first appointment with her, I knew I was in good hands based on her incredible attention to detail. I was originally only planning to get one thing altered, but when I put the dress on Anna was able to see certain details about the way the dress fit where she suggested some alterations, and these detailed alterations is literally what took my dress from good to perfect. I felt the most beautiful and confident I’ve ever felt thanks to the way the dress fit.

Additionally, she somehow found a way to design an attractive and utilitarian bustle on an almost unbustle-able dress and patiently reworked the placement over and over until we had it just right. The bustle was strong and secure and held up the entire night, even with lots of dancing and jumping.

She was great with communication, her timelines and prices were beyond reasonable compared to other studios I looked at. I could not recommend Anna more for your bridal needs.

Anna is incredible! She is a true professional and incredibly skilled at her art. For my dress, she shortened the straps, added a bustle, and took in some extra fabric to make the waist more defined. My dress had a detailed lace pattern, and you could not tell any alterations had been made. Her studio in Lincoln Park is lovely and her pricing is very fair. Would highly recommend her!

Anna was wonderful to work with - even with the constant changing conditions in Chicago and with COVID-19. Once she was able to open back up she took every precaution to keep both of us safe, while working with me for a quicker than planned turnaround on my dress. Her suggestions were wonderful and execution was flawless. Would definitely recommend.

Working with Anna last year from Bustle and Bodice on my wedding dress alterations was such a wonderful experience! Anna couldn’t have been sweeter and I really appreciated all her advice and guidance through the process. The size of my dress had to be taken in and hemmed quite a bit, and Anna did a lovely job. She also sewed in a medallion and scrap of fabric that I wanted added in for sentimental reasons, and she did a great job with it. She was so fun to talk to throughout the appointments and is overall just a sweet and kind human being! She also made me feel so comfortable during the process which can be very personal and kind of awkward at times if you do it with the wrong person. I would highly recommend working with Anna to all brides for alteration needs! She was done ahead of schedule and was careful in planning out the timing with me. I thought her pricing was very fair and I loved the Lakeview location of her well-appointed studio.

Highly highly recommend Anna. I went to her for alterations for my fit and flare lace wedding gown. I needed it to be hemmed, which was nerve wrecking since I didn't want to lose any of the beautiful lace details on the train.


Anna was detail oriented, patience, and super knowledgable. She also helped figure out how to transport my wedding dress (via plane), and the best way to steam before the wedding.

The alterations were PERFECT and the bustle that she did was stunning and you couldn't even see it. She kept all of the wonderful lace detailing intact. Again, I highly recommend her.

When I first contacted Anna I was in desperation. Five weeks from my wedding day, after falling out of love with my first dress, I was looking for someone to help me with dress number two. I count my blessings every day Anna said yes. From the first time we met, I could not have been more confident working together. Anna spoke with me at length about the first dress and my challenges throughout those alternations, wanting to ensure I didn’t have the same experience twice. Throughout our appointments she educated me on the process and help me understand potential limitations. She asked, confirmed and double-checked every inch of the dress was to my liking. Not only did Anna perfect my dress in time for my wedding, it only took her one appointment and twelve days to finish. I could not have asked for a more talented, creative and kind partner. I cannot say thank you to Anna enough for making me feel (and look) amazing on my big day.

Anna is truly amazing and I highly recommend Bustle and Bodice! She is professional, kind, and so extremely talented. My wedding dress was slightly different since I had a body suit and skirt combination. I also had two skirts (one for ceremony and one for reception) which both needed to be hemmed pretty dramatically. I kept the train on one and then hemmed it from the other so that I didn't need to bustle it. She also took in my body suit and it fit perfectly after her alterations! Throughout the entire process, Anna's communication was great and she made everything so seamless. Plus she is so much fun to hang out with! She is funny and sweet and you can tell she is very passionate about her work. She also sells gorgeous veils which I recommend as well! During our ceremony, the wind picked up and my veil was actually floating! So beautiful and delicate. I actually have already returned to Bustle and Bodice to get my dress for my sister's upcoming wedding hemmed. Anna also suggested that I shorted the straps and it made a world of difference! I will continue to come back for any and all alterations or even if I just happen to be in the neighborhood to say hello!
