When it was time to get a wedding cake, we tried cake samples from several of the leading South Shore bakeries. Brian's Fine Desserts blew them all out of the water. It was not even close. The cake is light, and very flavorful, and Andrea was very nice and happy to answer our questions. He also offered excellent value for our dollar .

Fast forward to the wedding: Andrea delivered a cake he made that morning that was an absolutely gorgeous three-teared cake decorated in the perfect vintage style. Incredibly tasty. We wholeheartedly recommend Andrea, and Brian's fine desserts and plan to get all our future event cakes, including Birthday and anniversary cakes, from him.

Since my wedding, Brian's has become the place where my family gets all of our cakes.
I was a little bit skeptical at first when we stepped into the shop, but the second I tasted the sample cakes the owner made us, my mind was made up. The pricing was also much better than the bigger cake companies out there. I also grabbed a chocolate grand-marnier mousse cupcake on my way out the door and it was literally one of the greatest things I've ever had. It's a really unassuming spot but well worth checking out if you're looking for a delicious, beauitful decorated cake.

We were really looking forward to the cake tastings - and we started with the best in our area. Everyone told us about Konditor Meister and Montillos, and we went to those, and they were really good.
But I found Brian's on a whim and decided to check them out. It's a really nondescript place in downtown Braintree, but oh man, do they know cake.
We met with the owner/baker and he gave us 4 mini-cakes - their speciality - and I knew at first bite I was going to find a way to get this guy to do our wedding. And we did, and not only was he wonderful to work with, but he was more inexpensive than the rest and did a fantastic job. And the best part was that every guest at the wedding got to pick from 10 different flavours - one of them was even GF - and ate their own little cake. And nearly every guest asked about the bakery after the wedding was over.
I've gone back numerous times since our wedding 6 months ago just to get a small cake for my husband and I to share. Seriously, it's that good. Forget the bigger bakeries with their giant, elaborate and expensive tier cakes!
