Nails, facials, massages, and waxing - Blue Sky is my only spa choice. Never had my hair done there (but I have had a lot yanked out by them). I won't tell you my favorite spa girl, b/c she's busy and I don't need anymore schedule competition, but suffice to say: if you need any spa products or services for a special day, your wedding day, or Tuesday - Blue Sky is IDEAL.

I had Amy Bowman who is a hair stylists at blue sky do my wedding hair. She even came to the house for a trial and to do my wedding hair. Amy is beyond amazing! First the prices she charges to go to the house to do your hair is extremely reasonable. Second she is one of the nicest people ever! She is extremely patient and will work on your hair at your trial until you are completely satisfied. The day of my wedding I hadn't hopped in the shower yet so when Amy got to my house I had to jump in. Instead of just relaxing Amy helped my mom and dad bag the last minute favors, then when I dressed she helped me get dressed-that is so beyond what she needed to do. On top of that I wanted two styles-half up half down with my veil for the ceremony then all up with crystal hair accessory for the reception. Amy went to my reception site to change my hair. While I did pictures she was so attentive and helped me look my best. After changing my hair she even bustled my dress. I absolutely loved Amy and so did my Mom so we invited her to enjoy dinner and the reception with our family and friends and she did. Still though, she was helping me with my day. She is just the best person and went so beyond doing my hair. If you want to work with one of the nicest hair stylists you have to request her at bluesky.

Blue sky was an excellent place to have my hair, make up, and nails done. They did a great job and it was super relaxing!

Firstly, I feel like I should put both treatments I got under different reviews, because they were so DRASTICALLY different even though provided by the same girl at the same place. I won't, but due to that my star ratings will be solid inbetweens instead of all good or all bad.... as they would be if I did these seperately.

I had recieved a gift card for this location in order to get myself nice nad made over for my wedding day. I scheduled my appointments fine, I had great service at the front counter, I loved the ladies there. They are very nice.

I scheduled a Spa Pedicure for the next week, and immediately afterwards a Shellac Manicure.

the Pedicure... was... amazing! I loved it. I have a foot condition which causes extreme dryness and callous build up, which was shaved away, moisturized, and treated so very well! my feet felt amazing for days! I decided to get a solid color nailpolish to make it a little more spunky, and went with a deep purple. It came out lovely, and is still on to this day, 3 weeks later, no chips. I loved doing this, and think it's totally worth the money.

the Manicure however...

the manicure to me is the most important part. I told them right off the bat that this was for my wedding. They asked if it was my first time getting a manicure, and I deeply regret saying yes. To this day I believe that htey just assumed I wouldn't know any better, and rushed it because of my saying "yes" to being new to manicures.
On that day, I had no idea what I was looking at. Was this done well? I dont know, I've never done this before. I left wondering why it was so fast, when they claimed it would be 45minutes to an hour on their website. Later that day I asked my fiance's aunt (who is very into Manicures and Pedicures) about it, and she looked at my nails and said they were AWFUL! The white was uneven on every nail, and wasn't a straight line at all even on the nails, the polish didn't go all the way back on my nail (it looked like my nails had grown out, she even asked "was this done last week?" and was surprised when I said I just got it done). They didn't do anything besides put the nail polish on with a split second of "shaping" (they didn't shape much from what I can see... my nails are still all uneven). This service costs more because shellac lasts longer - that's the only thing that I liked. The Shellac did last longer, it lasted a little less than a week without any chipping. However, that's the product, not the service. The service here was TERRIBLE for the manicure, and for that price, I just can't rationalize it. I'd rather go with the cheap, short-lasting one that's done well. Since then, I've gone to a place that advertises a 12 dollar manicure and was far more satisfied. Don't come here for a manicure... if you do, say you're an expert and get it done all the time - otherwise they slack off!!!
