We held our wedding reception at Blue Rock on 10/23/2021 and it was amazing. Not only the reception itself, but working with Elizabeth on everything leading up to it was an absolute delight.

She went far beyond being a venue owner, and was a fantastic coordinator; helping us anticipate and understand what we needed to think about and when in the months of planning leading up to the reception. And again in that role, she went far beyond simply coordinating or sharing her wisdom and experience. She was excited with us about our relationship—about who we are, what we love, what will be important in our marriage, and how the reception could be a way for us to express that and share it our friends and family.

We love children and have many people with children in our lives, and she was supportive of our vision to set up areas inside and outside for them to simply be children and to play together, while also helping us include them side by side with the adults at the table in the reception itself.

We also come from different cultures, and wanted the reception to be a celebration of that and our cultures merging. Again, she didn’t just help us with the details of this, she got inspired about it. For example, tea is a huge part of the bride’s culture, and she not only helped us figure out how to incorporate that, but she learned about it on her own and made a tea blend from the herbs growing in her herb garden at the venue!

Logistically, she was also incredibly helpful. It was so great to be able to just be in the space—we were invited to visit the venue any time during the months before if we wanted to, and crucially, we were able to go there a couple days before the reception to work on getting everything thing set up and getting decorations in place. She also linked us with some great resources, including a caterer who ended up being great. And when our flowers didn’t pan out, she helped us get it taken care of. She helped us find a DJ who was extremely easy to work with. And she helped us take care of some other last minute tasks at the 11th hour, and made sure the reception went exactly according to the months of work we’d put into it.

And we also just wanted to add—although you can see for yourself in the photos—the space itself is beautiful and peaceful. It sits on a few acres with carefully-tended gardens all around, a large lawn area, a pond with a fountain, a fire pit and great seating areas. The barn is a very flexible size—there are tons of different ways to set it up and create different areas for each thing, tables, cakes, displays, dancing, etc. And it has huge windows so it fills up with light at all times of day which helps create a sublime ambiance that we will never forget.

I just had my reception there Oct 15th & I have nothing but good things to say about this venue.
Lisa went above & beyond. made sure everything was taken care of & handled properly so I did not have to stress. She went out of her way to make sure she was a perfect host & you could tell its what she absolutely loves doing.
I sent her Pinterest pictures on my inspiration for my tables & how I wanted everything to be set up. She then sent pictures of a table set up asking if that’s what I liked (which I did) & that’s what I went with. She really has an eye for things.
The staff there were so amazing many of my guests mentioned it to me about how they enjoyed them.
The property is on beautiful land with a pond. It is absolutely gorgeous. I couldn’t recommended this place enough.

We had our wedding reception at Blue Rock Farm in May, and the experience was fantastic. The grounds are gorgeous, with plenty of space for outdoor games and picture taking. The barn itself is comfortable as well as beautiful, with flexible seating arrangements and plenty of little tables for all those last minute, "wait we need a table for that too!" surprises.

Our day was pretty hot, but fans and cross breeze meant the barn stayed a comfortable temperature, and guests were happy to play in the sun then head back inside for a cold drink.

Parking is easy and plentiful, and both the catering van and family in an RV had no problem getting in or out.

Day of, we had a minor catering mishap and Elizabeth jumped in to smooth things over right away. All the staff, directed by Elizabeth, are helpful, accommodating, and very easy to work with.

We looked at many venues, and Elizabeth offered us the best price with the most flexibility. With the package we chose, we were able to bring our own caterer and flowers, and used a mix of our own decorations and ones provided by Elizabeth.

As a queer couple, we were particularly careful in choosing our location and staff, and Blue Rock Farm couldn't have been better. While weren't not planning on getting married again, we would gladly turn to Blue Rock Farm for a variety of events in the future.

Blue Rock farm is a great venue. Our daughter was married there on 10/9/2021. We did the all inclusive package, and Elizabeth did all of the flowers for the wedding as well. Everything was beautiful and we had a wonderful time. We had the wedding and reception in the barn and the change from ceremony to reception was quick. We appreciate all the flexibility that was extended to us, so that we could celebrate and enjoy the evening The months and weeks prior to the wedding had been stressful so not having to worry once we arrived at the venue was very much appreciated.

Elizabeth is incredibly kind and fantastic to work with. The venue is stunning, with lots of beautiful backdrops for photos, very spacious and inviting, and all around beautiful.
The bridal suite was perfect and had plenty of space, and everything you could need, as well as a salon chair, which made getting ready so much easier.
Elizabeth is incredibly flexible, attentive, has unimaginable vision, and her hospitality is unmatched.
Our special day truly couldn’t have been better. I wouldn’t change a single thing about our wedding.

Beautiful venue tucked away near Hurdle Mills, NC. Elizabeth was very helpful and extremely responsive throughout the wedding planning process. The bridal suite is well maintained and a beautiful location to get ready for your special day. The venue is beautiful and well maintained as well. Simple and elegant.

What an absolutely delightful place for a wedding! We discovered Blue Rock Farm by chance during a web search and made a quick trip there (we live close by) to see it for ourselves. It didn’t disappoint. The setting is lovely, the grounds well maintained, the barn beautifully refinished, the place settings (plain or fancy, your choice) were perfect. It seemed ideally suited for the small wedding we had in mind.

We met with Elizabeth Botts to go over our ideas and she helped in planning our day, advising us what was in the scope of the contract, recommending hotels for out-of-town guests, and being thoroughly accommodating to small changes in the plan. I was encouraged to modify the wedding ceremony and select the music for the event while my bride chose the floral arrangements. Elizabeth couldn’t have been more helpful or gracious.

Helpful and gracious apply also to the staff on the wedding day. The catered food was incredibly good, the photographer, deejay, bartender, and waitress were cordial and attentive. It made the day a great one for us and our guests, some of whom are still telling us what a good time they had even now, two months after the wedding.

We certainly aren’t planning on a second wedding (!), but we can give an unqualified recommendation for Blue Rock Farm to anyone planning to tie the knot. Our whole experience with the Botts family was one of flawless service.

Blue Rock Farm is an amazing place. They did a wonderful job. They went above and beyond to make sure our day was special. Yesterday was exactly what I imagined and I would do it again here if I could. It's very affordable too. This place stands out because they really give you a magical experience and will help with everything you ask for. Everyone who came had a wonderful time and it's such an amazing place. They are so nice and I will always remember how beautiful it was. Elizabeth even did beautiful bouquets for me! I am so grateful.

Our wedding at Blue Rock Farm was fantastic! The venue is absolutely beautiful! The site has tons of parking. The barn is absolutely beautiful. The scene overlooking the lake is perfect. We had our wedding early in the year before the weather had heated up and the ground was still wet. Mrs. Botts, the owner, was so great in helping us adjust our plans to the circumstances. We ended up having a beautiful wedding ceremony and reception inside the barn, with seating for roughly 150 people.

We went with the all inclusive package, that included the glasses, plates, silverware, servers, parking attendants, flower arrangements, and more. Everything was handled fantastically. Mrs. Botts was so responsive in helping us reach our vision. Mrs. Botts had multiple meetings with us to make both a good weather plan and a bad weather plan. With respect to Mrs. Botts and Blue Rock Farm, everything went great and we just can't say enough good things.

There are multiple bathrooms on site for the barn. In the barn, there was plenty of room for a dance floor, a DJ, a photo booth, a full buffet, a bar, and seating for 150 people.

There is a bridal suite that was great for getting ready. The honeymoon cabin was a great space for the groom and groomsmen to get ready. We also loved the honeymoon cabin for us that night. The cabin had a full bathroom, a small kitchenette, a refrigerator, and some seating.

If you're interested in having a farm wedding, then you couldn't choose a better venue than the Blue Rock Farm.

This venue was perfect for my wedding! the beautiful barn and twinkle lights were the perfect back drop for my DIY wedding! Highly suggest this :)
