Dawn was so wonderful to work with and really makes you feel like she is there for you and to make your day be all you want. The team is very flexible which was great for our very DIY wedding. Our wedding felt like home with the beautiful views and familiar food+ drinks. Shout out to Cheyenne who was so kind during the meetings leading up and the day of- I love coming back to the restaurant and seeing her because she was such a kind and calm presence when I was feeling jittery with day of butterflies!

One heads up is the gratuity is not included in the packages which caught us by surprise so ask about that up front to not have any surprise costs

Blue Pete's went over the top with service and support for our event. All of the employees were so kind and easy to work with, it made the whole ordeal a real pleasure.

We planned this event in Virginia from Texas as our family is scattered. It was a total delight. The venue was lovely and the staff gracious. The grounds were exceptionally lovely for photographs. The food presentation was beautiful. The outside pavilion was great for musical entertainment after the meal. We have nothing but praise for Blue Petes.

Blue Pete's is a wonderful venue to host your special day. I attended my best friend's wedding here and was impressed by the great food, attention to detail, and attentive staff! Loving my experience, I used them to host my graduation party. It was so nice not to have to worry about anything and just show up to have fun. You will not get a better deal! To top it all off, the location is beautiful!

I cannot say enough good things about the Dawn and Cheyenne! Both were GREAT! Communications via email and/or phone calls were always addressed. Cheyenne was especially attentive and made suggestions that were always helpful. The Rehearsal dinner for 27 as well as the Welcome Cocktail party for 90 were enjoyed by all! Very professional and friendly!

Recently my family and I had reservations for 35 @ Blue Pete’s. The had a private room reserved for us that was beautifully decorated, comfortable, & cozy. The service was on point and the food was delicious.

We had a tremendous experience with Blue Pete's for our 10/22/22 wedding! Dawn is a confident and experienced event manager who handled all of our questions with ease, and made us feel very comfortable and welcome. The ambience and natural setting were PERFECT for our outdoor wedding. Blue Pete's service, staff, food, and accommodation were outstanding! There are several packages to choose from, so Blue Pete's likely can accommodate any budget! This venue offers the space, beautiful scenic views for amazing photographs, a romantic and special ceremony space for any kind of wedding, delicious food and plenty of choice for any picky eaters in your guest list, and drinks! We had a signature drink for our event, but let's chat about the food for a moment - we were able to provide 3 entrees as part of the package! Everyone raved about the food! All you need to bring is yourself, family, friends, a few rentals to accommodate outdoor comfort, and your unique decor. Everything else is there! Depending on the package you choose - you could also have the cocktail hour, champagne, AND the DJ included!!! It was seriously the EASIEST decision we made, and one that we're actually quite proud of. I recommend Blue Pete's for your very special occasions, and as for a wedding venue - I can't think of better setting. The natural environment, surrounded by water and trees, has a little bit of everything for any type of decor - the very popular rustic chic, or elegant and simple, and even - what we went with since it was late October and I was marrying a Romanian, ethereal, spooky glamour with candles (LED), candelabras, and chandeliers (we definitely brought in some vampiric and werewolf-y vibes...)! If you must, compare Blue Pete's with other venues, and you will see, they have the best of most everything in affordable packages. Dawn and the rest of the staff are the most incredible hosts!

I had my 30 person rehearsal dinner at Blue Pete's and I cannot recommend them enough! Within a few emails, I had the location, date and time booked, a huge menu of selections to choose from, and even had my choice of whether I wanted it inside or outside! The food was AMAZING and accommodated all dietary restrictions (my own included)! They were very responsive, helpful, and the staff was so kind! It is a far drive from Norfolk, but SO WORTH IT! I can't recommend enough!
