The most amazing day
We had our daughter and son in laws wedding at blue Pete in March 2026. The decorations were stunning, guests couldn’t say enough about the amazing food, and the staff made sure the day was perfect. Cups never empty, tables cleaned, and every need met. They went above and beyond for an amazing perfect day -

50th Wedding Anniversary
We planned this event in Virginia from Texas as our family is scattered. It was a total delight. The venue was lovely and the staff gracious. The grounds were exceptionally lovely for photographs. The food presentation was beautiful. The outside pavilion was great for musical entertainment after the meal. We have nothing but praise for Blue Petes. -

Blue Pete's - Best Decision for our Wedding!
We had a tremendous experience with Blue Pete's for our 10/22/22 wedding! Dawn is a confident and experienced event manager who handled all of our questions with ease, and made us feel very comfortable and welcome. The ambience and natural setting were PERFECT for our outdoor wedding. Blue Pete's service, staff, food, and accommodation were outstanding! There are several packages to choose from, so Blue Pete's likely can accommodate any budget! This venue offers the space, beautiful scenic views for amazing photographs, a romantic and special ceremony space for any kind of wedding, delicious food and plenty of choice for any picky eaters in your guest list, and drinks! We had a signature drink for our event, but let's chat about the food for a moment - we were able to provide 3 entrees as part of the package! Everyone raved about the food! All you need to bring is yourself, family, friends, a few rentals to accommodate outdoor comfort, and your unique decor. Everything else is there! Depending on the package you choose - you could also have the cocktail hour, champagne, AND the DJ included!!! It was seriously the EASIEST decision we made, and one that we're actually quite proud of. I recommend Blue Pete's for your very special occasions, and as for a wedding venue - I can't think of better setting. The natural environment, surrounded by water and trees, has a little bit of everything for any type of decor - the very popular rustic chic, or elegant and simple, and even - what we went with since it was late October and I was marrying a Romanian, ethereal, spooky glamour with candles (LED), candelabras, and chandeliers (we definitely brought in some vampiric and werewolf-y vibes...)! If you must, compare Blue Pete's with other venues, and you will see, they have the best of most everything in affordable packages. Dawn and the rest of the staff are the most incredible hosts!

I had my 30 person rehearsal dinner at Blue Pete's and I cannot recommend them enough! Within a few emails, I had the location, date and time booked, a huge menu of selections to choose from, and even had my choice of whether I wanted it inside or outside! The food was AMAZING and accommodated all dietary restrictions (my own included)! They were very responsive, helpful, and the staff was so kind! It is a far drive from Norfolk, but SO WORTH IT! I can't recommend enough! -

My mother and maid-of-honor planned a surprise Bridal Shower for me here and I couldn't be more grateful. Dawn and Chyanne met every expectation! The location, decoration the FOOD and DRINKS were unbelievable! The grazing table was absolutely gorgeous, the food and drinks were hitting every little spot of my soul, and the views were to die for! I HIGHLY recommend Blue Pete's for any occasion! -

Five stars!
We used Blue Pete’s for my son’s Rehearsal dinner (90 people) and my daughter’s wedding (300 people). They exceeded our expectations for both events. They were very professional from start to finish. They are locally owned and treated us just like we were family. We highly recommend using them for any event!! Love them!! -

I like to have my hands in everything BUT there was absolutely no need with Dawn and her team in charge! I quickly realized that from our first conversation when she contacted me within a few hours. I told her what I needed and that’s all it took. The rehearsal dinner was beautifully presented, plentiful, and delicious! It was buffet style (ease of our venue) but still very elegant. I had some big eaters and finicky ones, all were completely satisfied with compliments to the chef, who was actually there with Dawn. I was stress free and able to enjoy the dinner and guests. They did everything from setup to clean up and even packed up the leftovers. The next day the grazing table for cocktail hour was the best I’ve ever seen or tasted! That fed 100 easily with many attendees asking for business cards. I do not have pictures of the rehearsal dinner buffet unfortunately, but will post a few for the cocktail hour the next day. I will only call Dawn at Blue Pete’s for any event I have in the future, small or large because I know the quality, quantity, and professionalism will be excellent! -

Baby Shower
Dawn was so easy to work with and very accommodating! The day of the event, the room was beautiful, the food was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend Blue Pete’s. We would definitely schedule our next event with them. -

Book blue pete’s!
Blue Pete’s catered my rehearsal dinner as well as my cocktail hour (pretty last minute) and completely blew it out of the water! Our rehearsal dinner was PHENOMENAL. They created the most beautiful and delicious grazing tables for my cocktail hour, that were more than we could have ever asked for.
Dawn their catering manager was AMAZING to work with and handled everything so seamlessly. We received the most professional and amazing service. I could not recommend them more. If I could wind back time I would have had them cater my entire wedding. Blue Pete’s will not disappoint. They deserve well more than 5 stars! -

Quaint local’s favorite ❤️
My *husband* and I had our wedding reception at Blue Pete’s in early June 2023. I was an indecisive bride and I had never planned an event like this before. I was so fortunate to have Dawn, their event planner. I didn’t have to pay extra for Dawn’s guidance, advice, and event planning skills…honestly she was kind of like a bonus wedding planner/day of coordinator.
The day before my wedding I dropped off the random selection of decorations I had collected and asked Dawn to take creative liberties because I was overwhelmed. She worked her magic, and the place looked so beautiful! I received so many compliments from guests about the decor and the food -delicious! It was so good my husband and I took doggie bags home.
The staff was kind and they cheered on our party. We were having so much fun that other customers kept peeking over to smile and say congratulations. I am incredibly thankful to Dawn and “the flock” at Blue Pete’s. Not only did they put together a beautiful event that we will never forget, but they made it affordable!
Before I chose Blue Pete’s, I called several venues and they all wanted to nickel and dime me to death because they figure a bride will pay if she wants to make her dream wedding come true. Dawn generously shared several decor items from her own collection and didn’t charge me a single cent extra - any other place would have charged me by the hour to rent a tea light holder - sad but true!
ALSO because Blue Pete’s is on such a beautiful piece of land, we were able to get some gorgeous pictures. Now that it’s over, I wish I could do it again because Dawn made everything seem so effortless. My reception at Blue Pete’s was one of the best nights of my life and I will never forget it! -

Blue Pete’s is the best place to have a wedding! We had a brunch wedding this past June and could not recommend this venue enough. Dawn and her team are amazing. They were so accommodating to our requests, answered all our questions and helped keep me (nervous bride) calm throughout and the day of. It is affordable, beautiful, and the food is out of this world. Our friends and family are still raving about the food! -

Wedding and reception
I can not express the gratitude that I have for the staff here especially Dawn. Everyone was very helpful when it came to easing my nerves that come with planning a wedding from out of state. From set up, to food, to clean up, and communication. The venue was beautiful, the food was delicious, and the price was well within our budget. If I could go back and relive my special day; I wouldn’t change a thing. I would chose this venue over and over again. 10/10 ⭐️ -

Blue Pete's was a lifesaver for our wedding planning! We had a difficult time getting a hold of companies, and finding remotely reasonable and transparent quotes. Blue Pete's was easy to communicate with, informative and kind. Super reasonable price for the amount of food we were able to offer our guests, great customer service. 10/10 would recommend! -

My father passed away not too long ago, and the family was looking for a place to hold a celebration of life memorial event. After researching and comparing a number of venue options, we enthusiastically decided to go with Blue Pete’s. It was simply the best place and the best value for our needs. And after all, our family farm is right nearby in the Pungo area!
Blue Pete’s has long been a tried and true dining destination and a place of celebration for locals and visitors alike. Additionally, we had held my father's Navy retirement party at Blue Pete's 35 years ago! That had gone so well, the decision was easy!
I'm happy to say the celebration of my father's life went beautifully. On the day of the event, the staff at Blue Pete's greeted us with familiar hospitality. Everything was set up and ready to go, and the food (we chose a buffet) was spectacular. Everyone enjoyed themselves, sharing stories and mingling in the casual and welcoming atmosphere. We had plenty of privacy, having reserved a dedicated space for the event. But if you know Blue Pete's, you know that the outdoor decks and patios are just as much a draw! Situated on the water in the wooded area around Back Bay, the expansive and varied outdoor seating area is perfect for stretching your legs and enjoying the natural surroundings.
At the end of the day, we were very pleased that we had chosen Blue Pete's once again. The friendly, professional staff and the welcoming atmosphere made what might have been a somber occasion into a true celebration of life. I’d recommend it for any event or celebration. -

Can’t thank Blue Pete’s enough! We planned a wedding in four months and had a our wedding ceremony & reception on a crisp fall evening! The natural setting was a beautiful backdrop to our simple, goth shabby chic wedding! We saved so much on decor as the venue provided the perfect backdrop and everything we needed. The venue itself made for amazing pictures and we can’t thank the team enough for the amazing service, food and venue!
