Vanessa Naumann and Storybook planning was the best decision we could have made for our wedding!!

Stephanie and I set out to have a modern wedding at a private estate in Henderson, NV. And trust me when I say we did not give Vanessa an easy task. Not only did Vanessa exceed our expectations through the planning process, but she came through on wedding day more than we could have anticipated. Storybook really knows what they are doing when it comes to “the business of love”. All of our friends, family, and venues owners had compliments of how smooth and well planned our wedding went. We owe it all to Vanessa.

We began planning this wedding 2 years+ from that actual date, considering we postponed a year during COVID. As much a this postponement time was difficult on us, we know that it wasn’t easy on Vanessa as well. With no certainty of even having a wedding like we originally planned, Vanessa stuck by us, listened to us, and guided us to fulfill our dream. (I’m sure we tested her patience pretty good during this time of uncertainty). Can’t tell you how many times we changed our mind on various details, vendors, guest counts, and even if we were going to have a wedding at all!

Vanessa’s integrity came through we she didn’t increase rates, fought for our vendors to hold rates, dates, etc. Our wedding was at a private estate, and the owner is a personal friend of ours. Needless to say, Vanessa didn’t have her normal access points to a venue. I can’t tell you how great she worked with our people and organized she was with every detail.

When it came to vendor selection, we were so pleased with her recommendations. There were even some vendors we didn’t want to choose, and Vanessa continued to work with us until we were happy. (Even when we would have delayed response times, or not give her the best direction).

There were times in the process that I had my doubts that this wedding would match our original Vision (because how can a normal person predict a wedding). There was a point in the process I was getting frustrated at planning and I’ll never forget when Vanessa asked me if I trusted her. It’s all she cared about in the moment, and I genuinely did. In any working relationship, trust is key. I valued when she took the approach that we need to trust her. The conversation eased my mind and boosted my confidence in StoryBook’s abilities. Vanessa really made everything easy for us! She was super attentive the day of the wedding and made sure all of the details fell into place. Thank you Vanessa!

We loved working with Vanessa on our wedding. We had already planned a full wedding for summer 2020 that we had to cancel due to COVID. We had rescheduled that same set up for summer 2021, but we knew in early January it was not going to be possible. So we decided to completely rework our plan and get married in Vegas with a smaller guest list. My mom found Vanessa and told us immediately that we would like her. Vanessa understood that we were tired and frustrated because we had already planned a full wedding and we didn't want to have to completely start from scratch. She took our pinterest board and our existing plans and ran with it. Vanessa knew what we wanted and did everything in her power to make sure we got it. She found a design company that could recreate our pinterest vision. She already had a great working relationship with our venue (Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa) so that was seamless. When I said I wanted something cool and nightclub-esque for a photo booth, she found us a vogue booth. She took charge of communicating with all of our vendors (photography, videography, dj, etc) and made sure that the only thing I had to worry about on the day of my wedding was getting dressed and getting married. What a wonderful experience we had working with Vanessa! Our wedding was absolutely beautiful, down to the smallest detail - we received so many compliments. Everything on the day of the ceremony went as smoothly as could be, and we were able to really relax and enjoy such an amazing day. In the beginning, we had ideas of trying to plan our own wedding. It didn't take long to realize we were in way over our heads. Full planning relieves a lot of stress and anxiety, and ensures the process is fun instead of a headache. Also, we really loved all our vendors, and ended up with much better matches for things like photography than we would have arranged on our own. For us, full planning was one of those things where it's harder to see the value until you go through the process, and then in hindsight realize what a good investment it was.

Vanessa was everything and more we could have imagined as our wedding planner. We contracted her for day of coordinator plus a few consulting hours. We had 4 months to plan our big day in the middle of a pandemic. I needed someone that would allow my vision, have my best interest and guide me during the planning process. If your budget allows it, full-service planning/design is the way to go! Vanessa is professional, efficient, precise and very intuitive with her couples. I knew at our first meeting that I made the right choice with her. No matter the issue or crisis, Vanessa was so patient and understanding.

I ran into a dead end with my design idea for the ceremony and reception. Vanessa stepped in and met us at the venue and designed an exceptional reception floor plan. The ceremony lay out in my head didn't work out and she helped draw out a new one. There were little details that I never thought of and she made sure nothing was overlooked.

She was always available and she promptly replied to every email and text. We openly discussed details every step of the way and she went over contracts for every vendor I hired. She executed every detail so perfectly. On our big day, there was a lot happening and there were so many moving parts. She managed to keep everything organized and made sure the vendors were setting up as planned.

We have 3 toddlers (age 3, 1 year old twins) and she effortlessly helped with our kids and dressed our daughter in her flower girl gown. Our twin boys ran off in the distance before the processional and Vanessa took on the nanny role without hesitation.

There was so much more that happened behind the scenes that she took care of. Vanessa was the real MVP of our wedding day. We are so thankful for her and her assistant because our wedding was the BEST day of our lives!

I wasn’t local to the area so having a wedding planner was a must for me. I knew Vanessa was ‘the one’ after the first phone call with her! She was extremely professional, personable, knowledgeable, and overall just a pleasure to work with! She responded to all of my emails/texts/phone calls promptly, including the day she gave birth to her child (no joke). Vanessa truly went above and beyond, even offering to directly speak to/answer any questions my mother and mother-in-law had, help my sister plan my bachelorette party, or schedule tee times for the groom (just to name a few things)! I am eternally grateful to her and would recommend her 1000x over. She was worth every penny and then some! I honestly could not have done it without her. Vanessa was incredibly professional, however she also has a caring human quality that makes her extremely receptive to individual concerns, wants and needs. Here is a review from a groom’s perspective: I just wanted my guests to have fun and I was clueless about how to make this happen when the planning process started. As my bride and I continued to add things to our big day with 170 out-of-town guests, the coordinating began to get overwhelming. On top of that we had difficulty with the venue, which had promised to handle everything for us. When we decided to bring in Vanessa at Storybook events, we were getting pretty stressed out. From the first moment that she spoke with us via phone, she put us at ease. We thought, "if she can manage a troupe of travelling circus performers, a wedding would be a piece of cake for her. "It proved to be just that. The wedding was a smash hit for our families and our guests. Everyone said, “Best. Wedding. Ever.” For every, hiccup, mistake, or question we had, Vanessa was there, including when my wife left the wedding dress in the hotel room on the day of the ceremony! She erased the mistakes we made as they happened. If I did a wedding every year, eventually I would figure out where the stress points are and I could make it run smoothly on my own.
