Billy Lyon, his band did outstanding job at our wedding. Their talent and energy was infectious, creating an amazing atmosphere for our special day. They played songs our guests enjoyed listening and dancing to all night. We could not have asked for a better band to help celebrate such an important moment in our lives. We highly recommend this band.

I can’t say enough great things about Billy Lyon and his band! They played my wife Wende’s 50th birthday party Saturday night, and they were absolutely incredible.

From the beginning, Billy was fantastic to work with. He stayed in touch leading up to the party, kept me updated, and really listened to what I wanted the night to be. I gave him a sample set list filled with Wende’s favorite songs, and they ended up playing probably 90% of them. If there was a song they didn’t already know, the band actually learned it for the party. That alone tells you how much they care about making the night special.

And they absolutely delivered. Wende had the time of her life and even got up and sang two of her favorite songs with the band! They had everyone singing, dancing, laughing, and basically acting like we were all back in college again. They weren’t just playing music. They were interacting with everyone, getting people involved, and creating an atmosphere that made the entire night incredibly fun.

This is NOT your average wedding or event band. These guys are musicians who play gigs all over Charlotte, and it shows. They know how to read a crowd, they’re incredibly talented, and most importantly, they know how to make a party FUN.

Everyone at the party loved them, Wende loved them, and I couldn’t have been happier with how the night turned out. If you’re looking for a band for a party or event, or just want to go see a great live band around Charlotte, I highly recommend Billy Lyon and his band. They were a huge part of making Wende’s 50th a night we’ll never forget!

The Billy Lyon experience is unparalleled. Once at a show they held the entire audience at gunpoint for 2 hours while a baby boy danced and laughed in the front row. The cheers were sensational and everyone went home after and got laid. 10/10 - can't wait for the next show.

Billy was an absolute dream to work with! Not only does he have an incredibly broad song list, he can literally play just about anything. From the beginning, I felt confident trusting him with our wedding music, and he absolutely delivered. As he got to know our style and vision, he curated the perfect soundtrack for our day. His entire team was fantastic—professional, talented, and so much fun.

Booked Billy Lyon for my wedding, couldn’t recommend enough! Really good range of songs, personally learned and performed our first dance song and father/daughter song. Perfect range of good classics with great songs to dance to. Brought in a DJ for the last hour of the night to end it off on a high note! When my friends and family talk about the wedding, they all were sure to mention the band and how great they were!

We cannot say enough amazing things about Billy himself and the band. From our first communication to dancing all night with our guests, it was a perfect experience from start to finish. The band was super accommodating to the type of vibe we wanted - we are 90s kids that loved pop rock, hip hop, and even some classics to keep our parents on the dance floor. Every time we reminisce about the wedding, one thing that always comes up is that no one left the dance floor the entire night and that was our goal. We wanted to have a party and the Billy Lyons Band helped that come to life. Billy truly cared to make our day special and get to know us on a personal level. They were affordable, great to work with and amazing musicians.

Billy Lyon perfectly entertained us at our Holiday Party! He is reliable, punctual, skilled musician and spontaneously fun! Absolutely awesome performance! Back in July my now husband and I were searching for singers for our welcome party and stumbled upon Billy and Greg at the Freckled Fin on Anna Maria Island! They were fantastic and the exact vibe my husband and I were looking for. They preformed at our welcome party on 10/20 and our friends and family loved every second of the show! They had crowd dancing the entire night. After the party we received so many texts saying how much fun everyone had and how in the world we found such a great band! Beyond thrilled with their performance. Forever wishing I could have that night on repeat! Whatever your event, they are a must hire!!!!! If I could give more than 5 stars I absolutely would!

Billy Lyon Band was just absolutely outstanding at the entire wedding. Billy Lyon played the playlist that my Husband and I wanted for the cocktail reception before the wedding and during the Ceremony. They were always accommodating, even when we asked for some unusual things. We held multiple, clandestine practice sessions leading up to the big day.
Billy's multifaceted talents as a singer, guitarist, and professional musician were truly commendable. But, it was his charisma and elegance that took our wedding day from special to unforgettable. Greg Polson, his partner, was equally phenomenal. The whole night was magical and we believe having the Billy Lyon Band at our wedding, was the icing on the cake!! The first time my husband and I saw Billy Lyon band perform, I knew I wanted him to be at my “special” day. The vibe, talent, vocals and music are just a scratch of what continues to draw us in.
