I can’t say enough great things about Billy Lyon and his band! They played my wife Wende’s 50th birthday party Saturday night, and they were absolutely incredible.
From the beginning, Billy was fantastic to work with. He stayed in touch leading up to the party, kept me updated, and really listened to what I wanted the night to be. I gave him a sample set list filled with Wende’s favorite songs, and they ended up playing probably 90% of them. If there was a song they didn’t already know, the band actually learned it for the party. That alone tells you how much they care about making the night special.
And they absolutely delivered. Wende had the time of her life and even got up and sang two of her favorite songs with the band! They had everyone singing, dancing, laughing, and basically acting like we were all back in college again. They weren’t just playing music. They were interacting with everyone, getting people involved, and creating an atmosphere that made the entire night incredibly fun.
This is NOT your average wedding or event band. These guys are musicians who play gigs all over Charlotte, and it shows. They know how to read a crowd, they’re incredibly talented, and most importantly, they know how to make a party FUN.
Everyone at the party loved them, Wende loved them, and I couldn’t have been happier with how the night turned out. If you’re looking for a band for a party or event, or just want to go see a great live band around Charlotte, I highly recommend Billy Lyon and his band. They were a huge part of making Wende’s 50th a night we’ll never forget! -

Billy was an absolute dream to work with! Not only does he have an incredibly broad song list, he can literally play just about anything. From the beginning, I felt confident trusting him with our wedding music, and he absolutely delivered. As he got to know our style and vision, he curated the perfect soundtrack for our day. His entire team was fantastic—professional, talented, and so much fun.
I got so many comments after the wedding about how amazing the band was—they were truly a highlight of the night. Billy and his team helped make our wedding unforgettable. I can’t recommend them enough! -

Billy Lyon Band for wedding
Booked Billy Lyon for my wedding, couldn’t recommend enough! Really good range of songs, personally learned and performed our first dance song and father/daughter song. Perfect range of good classics with great songs to dance to. Brought in a DJ for the last hour of the night to end it off on a high note! When my friends and family talk about the wedding, they all were sure to mention the band and how great they were! -

We cannot say enough amazing things about Billy himself and the band. From our first communication to dancing all night with our guests, it was a perfect experience from start to finish. The band was super accommodating to the type of vibe we wanted - we are 90s kids that loved pop rock, hip hop, and even some classics to keep our parents on the dance floor. Every time we reminisce about the wedding, one thing that always comes up is that no one left the dance floor the entire night and that was our goal. We wanted to have a party and the Billy Lyons Band helped that come to life. Billy truly cared to make our day special and get to know us on a personal level. They were affordable, great to work with and amazing musicians. -

Highly Recommend!
Billy Lyon perfectly entertained us at our Holiday Party! He is reliable, punctual, skilled musician and spontaneously fun! He is extremely talented and kept the party going with high energy, impressive talent, and engaging song choices. We will definitely book him for future parties and highly recommend him!

Great experience!
Billy Lyon Band was just absolutely outstanding at the entire wedding. Billy Lyon played the playlist that my Husband and I wanted for the cocktail reception before the wedding and during the Ceremony. They were always accommodating, even when we asked for some unusual things. We held multiple, clandestine practice sessions leading up to the big day.
Billy's multifaceted talents as a singer, guitarist, and professional musician were truly commendable. But, it was his charisma and elegance that took our wedding day from special to unforgettable. Greg Polson, his partner, was equally phenomenal. The whole night was magical and we believe having the Billy Lyon Band at our wedding, was the icing on the cake!! You will be happy you booked this Band for your most special day!! -

The first time my husband and I saw Billy Lyon band perform, I knew I wanted him to be at my “special” day. The vibe, talent, vocals and music are just a scratch of what continues to draw us in. Songs requests, ability to sing just about anything and Billy’s genuine personality are what make this band “tick”. If you have not checked out one of their local gigs, stop what you are doing now and book it! I promise you will have an amazing time and your ears and heart will love you forever. -
