Bend of The River is an idyllic wedding venue in Hiawassee, Georgia. It offers a brand-new event venue that can accommodate up to 50 guests and up to 22 people.

Norris Development owns and operates two houses, Lake Chatuge Lodge and Bellissimo Castle, both located on beautiful lakes in Georgia that can accommodate up to 45 people. This waterfront venue offers open spaces perfect for a large celebration, or you can enjoy the natural beauty of the area with a more intimate party. Weddings can be held at Lake Chatuge in Hiawassee. Unfortunately, Bellissimo Castle in Gainesville cannot host wedding ceremonies at this time due to Hall County restrictions. Both homes are magical places for you and your guests to enjoy your special occasion. Bellissimo is a great place for family gatherings and dinner parties both before and after your wedding.

Lake Chatuge Lodge is currently undergoing an extensive outdoor renovation. Once complete, it will have a 30' x 105' wedding tent, elaborate waterfalls cascading into a 20' x 50' swimming pool, pickleball court, bocce court, 12-foot chessboard, basketball court, miniature golf course, outdoor theater 150" TV, professional karaoke, and a full outdoor kitchen. Transportation between the two houses can be arranged for a small fee.

The houses can be rented for a 3 to 4-night stay, and you can have a wedding for 100 people. This is a great opportunity to host the groom's family at one house and the bride's family at the other. There is an elegant honeymoon suite at the Bellissimo Castle for the Bride and Groom as well. You will have the best of both worlds. We also offer a variety of water rentals by the day or for the entirety of the stay if your guests would like to get out on the water.
