Having a memorable band was the #1 priority for us when we set about planning our wedding. Ben Mallare, Chance, and their band provided an absolutely amazing experience. Communication was super quick and easy, and they were very clear about the options available for how small or large of a band we wanted on our wedding day. We opted for Chance and a 10+ piece for the reception, and a smaller group for the ceremony.

They were absolutely the best band I've ever experienced at a wedding - from the emotional songs during the ceremony to the high-energy conclusion for the reception, every song hit the spot. They learned the song we wanted for our first dance, and it was magical. The energy was perfect all night. Some of the older guests came up to us the next morning and told us the music and dancing made them feel like they were in their 20s again!

There aren't enough good things I could say about the Ben Mallare Band. If you want to have the best party and wedding dance floor of your life, book them. They were without question the best decision we made for our wedding and the most talked about part of the entire night.
From the very beginning, the team was responsive and professional. Ben and Andy made every step of the planning process easy and seamless, from helping us think through band size and musician selection to making sure every detail was taken care of. We ended up with a nine piece band featuring three vocalists, piano, guitar, bass, drums, saxophone, and trumpet and couldn't have been happier with that decision.
I’ve played music my whole life so my husband and I were really picky. After watching countless live performance videos on YouTube there was no question, the Ben Mallare Band was unmatched. No notes off pitch, every single harmony in sync, concert level quality from the first song to the last. The vocals were SO good! They were able to flex between everything from rock and roll to disco to pop to rap to classic jazz and soul dinner service music that made the reception feel luxurious and classy.
What truly set them apart was their ability to read the room. Ben as frontman and emcee kept the entire evening flowing from entrance to dinner to speeches to dancing without a single lull. Every song choice felt intentional and perfect. The energy never once dipped. And once we got to the dancing portion it genuinely felt like a concert, I had the time of my life! From Earth, Wind & Fire to Stevie Wonder to Whitney Houston to Dua Lipa to Crazy in Love, closing out the night with Queen's Don't Stop Me Now — every single person young and old was on that dance floor all night. Their song choices and presence transcended age. My 90-year-old grandpa got up and danced multiple times and told me it was the best night he’s had had in a long time.
The versatility across the entire evening was outstanding. We had a live guitarist for our ceremony, a jazz quartet including a string bass for cocktail hour that set the perfect mood, the full nine-piece band for dinner and dancing, and then DJ Bruno for our after party. DJ Bruno was absolutely fire, too. He played all our must-plays, took requests, and kept everyone on the dance floor for round two — it was so much fun.
The moment that will stay with me forever was when one of our vocalists came down onto the dance floor during Fireball and the entire crowd circled around. The energy was indescribable! All night long guests were coming up to my husband and me asking where we found this band, including serious musicians and music lovers who were just completely blown away.
The Ben Mallare Band was worth every single penny and more. Book them, you will not regret it! My husband and I are already trying to figure out what our next event could be just so we can book them again!

Having the Ben Mallare band at our wedding was the best choice we could have made. Coordinating with them was incredibly easy. They are very responsive, professional, and accommodating. They had our dance floor rocking all night - guests of all ages. All of our guests could not stop talking about them the day after, and still to this day. We hired the Ben Mallare band for our desert wedding last week and are still speechless. They had everyone dancing even before dinner and before our grand entrance… they nailed the song for our first dance and kept the energy flying high the entire night. All of our guests kept asking how we found such a talented band. The range of songs they can play (and play WELL) is extensive.

Our daughter and now son-in law’s wedding at the Hotel Californian in Santa Barbara was one of those great events, and among the kudos were the reviews of the string quartet, the cocktail hour ensemble, and the ten featured pieces that played during dinner, all provided by Ben Mallare Events & Entertainment. A number of our guests work in the music business. We have a good idea of what it takes to provide the level of entertainment they delivered, and we know that what they did was special.

The audio at the ceremony was everything we could have hoped for, clear yet soft on a rooftop? Amazing! The band indoors throughout the evening was also truly remarkable. The arrangements were spot on, the vocalists were excellent, and the group was cohesive. Hard to do, given the vagaries of scheduling, etc. Moreover, that the audio team did their jobs so expertly was really what carried the day.

Cannot say enough amazing things about Ben Mallare and the team. They were easy to work with throughout the planning process, and made me feel the setlist and flow was personal and customized. The performances blew me away, and my guests are still talking about it months later. We had a dreamy string trio for the ceremony and cocktail hour that made us feel like we were in a movie. Then the reception felt like a private concert. The musicians and vocalists were top notch, and played the perfect setlist to have guests on the dance floor all night. They truly were the piece that made our wedding special, and have been the most talked about part of our event.

We had the best experience working with the Ben Mallare band. When I say they made the night, they really made the night spectacular. Ben's MCing was spot on, the songs they played were perfect, and they hit every single note! I had so many people tell me how fabulous the band was and ask for their contact information afterwards. If I could give them 100/10 stars I would :) If they're available your wedding weekend, hire them immediately!

Ben and his team put on the best set I could have ever asked for at my wedding! Not only were they so easy to work with leading up to the wedding, but they exceeded all of our expectations when it came to music. They were very accommodating with our special requests during ceremony and reception, and they even helped us pull off a special performance with my dad and I. They are a GREAT value, and it was some of the best money we spent during our wedding weekend. I could not recommend them enough!

Truly -- on the best weekend of our lives, Ben and his band were an absolute highlight. Their collective style, charisma, and musicianship were stunning. Maybe one of the best live performances I've ever been to, wedding or otherwise??

Logistically they were a dream to work with -- consummate professionals with clear guidelines, flexible set design, and prompt/clear communication.

Can't recommend them highly enough!
