I recently got married at BFF in June of 2022, and not only was the day absolutely flawless, and beyond my expectations, but the 6-8 months leading up to it were an absolute joy working with Tina and her team at Bear Flag Farm.

Highlights:
- VENUE- is second to none in wine country, picture the famous lavender fields, beautiful orange orchards, almond groves, sunken rose gardens, and multiple beautiful locations to change up the scenery for you and your guests. BFF is not only gorgeous, but it's exclusive too, this isn't the type of place that manufactures the same wedding every weekend. Each wedding they work on is bespoke, and cared for by their staff and unique to the couple. In addition to this, the venue was super convenient for a bride and her guests (2 huge, new bridal suites make it super easy to get ready with your friends and family), valet parking, and everything handled onsite by Tina and her team.
- FLORALS- Not only were the designs next level, but BFF does not hold back on flowers that will blow your mind. When exploring flowers, friends warned me to have low expectations with florals due to budget, but Kathy and her team blew our mind with ginormous, extravagant displays all around the venue, all within budget. People couldn't stop talking about the florals at our wedding, and they were absolutely gorgeous in the photos we just got back
- FOOD- the one thing people couldn't forget about our wedding was how amazing the food was. This is not "wedding food", Tina's new catering business has brought in michelin star chefs to bring in a real restaurant food experience to your wedding. Think kennebec chips with caviar, shucked oysters, and black cod. Tina was even able to custom-prepare the Foreign Cinema Madras Curry Fried Chicken as one of the courses, when we mentioned this was special to us because it was the meal we had on our first date. jaw drop. If you want your wedding food to be memorable, beautiful, and delicious, then BFF will prepare food and dessert that's better than some michelin star restaurants in the bay area
- STAFF- wow, just wow. For someone who is picky, but didn't want to be a hands on bride, BFF was so easy to work with and so good at putting together the vision and DETAILS I cared about most. Not only was the day run so smoothly, and so much trust was built with Tina, Kathy, and her team, but they were so soooo nice, fun and easy to work with the months leading up to my wedding too. If you want an easy wedding, that is beautiful with beautiful details, this team will put it all together seamlessly. I seriously wish I could work with them every day, beyond just my wedding.

Overall, i loved loved having my wedding at BFF. It really is just one day, so choosing the right venue, with an excellent staff is critical in ensuring your wedding is memorable and one of the best days of your life!

We are from NYC and somehow landed upon Bear Flag Farm - we were blown away at first sight by the gorgeous landscape and surroundings and knew we could get alongl with Tina (the owner and planner of BFF) - we had a very specific vision for our wedding that we relayed to Tina and her team throughout the planning process - we honestly weren't sure if anyone could actually bring our vision to life - but when our wedding day rolled around, BFF went above and beyond our expectations and it truly was the best day of our lives - BFF isn't your typical banquet-hall 'wedding venue' - it's a private estate that provides a blank canvas for a luxurious, personalized wedding

When we first started looking for a wedding venue, we focused our search on the Napa/Sonoma area, primarily because we were interested in an outdoor ceremony and reception; a gorgeous setting; and a quintessential Northern California atmosphere. We looked at over 10 venues, and nothing felt quite right until we visited Bear Flag Farm.

Not only is it a perfectly manicured property, but it also feels incredibly special, unique and above and beyond the standard vineyard wedding venue that has become so popular for Northern California destination weddings. We visited in February, but even at that time of year, you can tell how lush, green and fragrant the property is during the spring and summer months.

Furthermore, we really appreciated that the property is so private. One of our concerns with some of the other venues we visited was that non-guests could wander by the ceremony or reception. At Bear Flag, you and your guests are the only ones on the property, so you have a private experience, and the property is just for you and your guests to enjoy!

One of the things we loved most about Bear Flag Farm was the fact that we could create four distinct experiences for our guests: welcome drinks in the almond grove, ceremony in the lavender field, cocktail hour in the citrus garden and dinner and dancing in the sunken garden. Each setting was different than the last but equally beautiful and romantic. Our guests were awe-struck throughout the ceremony and reception by the property. From the little bunnies hopping around the orchards to the apricot trees loaded with sweet summer fruits, our guests felt transported to a Tuscan villa or French garden. Because the natural setting is so stunning, you frankly don’t need to do much in the way of decor if you don’t want to; the property is essentially ready to go!

We were especially focused on having great food, and Bear Flag Farm is the ideal setting for a rustic yet elegant farm to table dining experience. Tina was gracious enough to work with us to create our favors: little bottles of Bear Flag Farm olive oil! It was the perfect detail to round out the wedding.

Tina was a true pleasure to work with throughout our experience. We had a separate wedding planner, but Tina was the ultimate host and partner throughout the planning process. She went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect in every way. Tina is prompt, flexible and extremely responsive, which is a gift during the planning process, especially when you sweat the details like we did. Because there are only a handful of weddings and events hosted at Bear Flag Farm each year, Tina gives you her full attention and support.

During our search for a wedding venue, I kept coming across Bear Flag Farm. This venue embodied everything I had dreamed of for my wedding day. My husband and I are from San Diego and most of our guest were from Southern California. We wanted somewhat of a destination wedding at an outdoor, winery, farm, rustic, intimate venue. Bear Flag Farm was EXACTLY what we wanted. We visited the farm on a stormy day in February... and even in the rain, Bear Flag Farm took my breath away.

If I wasn't already in love with Bear Flag Farm (which I was), what really sealed the deal for us was the owner and event coordinator, Tina Reikes. She makes perfection look easy. From the day we made the decision to have our wedding at BFF, Tina was in constant contact with us. She listened to all of our wishes and turned them into reality. Tina manages the number of weddings they do in a year so she can dedicate her time and give you the attention needed for your big day. Tina only works with the "best of the best" when it comes to vendors, and her taste is impeccable. From the beginning she was on top of everything, making sure the things that have potential to book quickly (band, hair and makeup, transportation) were reserved for our date. She even helped us out with booking our rehearsal dinner! This was such a huge help for me, being from out of town. I knew we were in good hands, so I left a lot of the design and layout ideas up to Tina and her team. When I showed up to BFF on the day of the wedding, I was absolutely blown away. All of my hopes and dreams for that day had been exceeded... everything was perfect. Thanks to Tina and her team, I was able to fully enjoy my wedding and not have to attend to any of the little things.

My husband and I were lucky enough to find Bear Flag Farm (BFF) through a friend who attended a wedding there. Once I described the type of wedding I was hoping to have (outdoor, rustic, charming, magical and intimate) she told me I had to visit BFF. We looked at the site in January when it was quite barren and needed some imagination, but it wasn't the gorgeous wedding albums in the office that made us fall in love with the venue, it was the owner, Tina Reikes.

Tina is the type of person that you meet and you know she executes everything she touches with excellence. She was a big part of why we knew our wedding day would be flawless because she would be in charge of making it all happen. The venue is also amazingly all-inclusive. She is contracted with the best caterer and florist a bride can ask for. If you are the type of bride and groom that aren't interested in vetting multiple vendors this a great way to go.

We had 135 guests, over half of them came in from Ohio and BFF took their breath away. It was the ultimate California wedding with the ceremony under a gorgeous tent and a reception underneath the stars. None of the guests had ever experienced what most described as "magical". The design aspects were lead by Tina while I simply told her my absolute wants and definite no's. Her and her team looked at a Pinterest board I created to get a feel for who I was along with a couple in person meetings and they executed my dream wedding, within our budget and without any drama. She also coordinated a couple of surprises with my husband that I had no idea about.

I cannot say enough amazing things about our experience at Bear Flag Farm. Our wedding was beyond my expectations and everyone I know has been raving that it was "the most beautiful wedding" that they have ever attended. We live in New York City and initially looked at Napa for our wedding venue - I dragged my then fiancé to at least 20 venues! But as soon as we laid eyes on the farm, we knew it was a special place. It is unique and charming and beautiful. One of the BEST parts of our experience was having the farm's owner and event coordinator, Tina Reikes, plan our event. We were in constant contact with her and she was incredibly responsive to the things we wanted, didn't want and didn't know if we wanted or not! She has relationships with the best vendors in the area and impeccable taste. Being across the country, there were a lot of things that i couldn't personally handle and she was on top of EVERYTHING! She is professional, courteous and reliable and kept her cool whenever I started to unravel! The day was carried out seamlessly and I feel incredibly lucky that we found Tina and Bear Flag Farm for our wedding.

I'm not sure I can say anything that has not already been said, but a Bear Flag Farm wedding is simply the best! Tina offers you plenty of options to make your day unique, but not so many you become totally overwhelmed. We selected her set-price package which made planning and budgeting very simple. All of her vendors were professional and although there were a few minor hiccups along the way, everything was perfect on the day of the wedding.
There are several features that make this venue incredibly unique. First, the property itself is simply gorgeous and nothing like it exists in our area. There is a functional farm, winery, fruit grove (the orangerie), lavendar field, and olive grove. All of these spaces give you endless opportunities for your event and photos. Second, working with Tina is unlike any other planner. She knows her property and how to produce a wedding. She knows her vendors and they work hard for her. She is also able to make just about anything you want happen because it is all her property. Her taste is impeccable. I am very particular and had very high expectations for my wedding, needless to say Tina totally exceeded my expecations! She took my ideas to places I had not even imagined. She also allows you to be as involved as you want to be in picking the details.
If you choose a BFF wedding you will not regret it. Your wedding will be the most beautiful wedding anyone has been to and the planning process will be about as stress-free as possible.

We will not be able to fully describe the wonderful, magical and enchanted wedding that Tina Reikes and Bear Flag Farm provided for us. To say that the evening went flawlessly is an understatement. Tina was organized, precise and saw to every untold detail that made our event spectacular. Prior to the wedding she was a calming and influential decision making in every aspect that we had as participants. Tina Reikes (the farm's owner) makes Bear Flag Farm what it is. Her attention to detail is impeccable and she has a fantastic eye for design. Combine that with her dream team of vendors (she only works with the very best in the area) and you can truly rest assured that everything will look amazing, taste delicious and run smoothly from beginning to end. As a bride who was planning from afar (I live in Houston), it was especially wonderful working with Tina and knowing that everything would be attended to. I also plan events for a living, so I am aware of all the chaos that goes on behind the scenes. Luckily, I could breath easy with Tina as my team captain!

If I had the chance to go back and do it all over again, I would. Simply put, Bear Flag Farm is a magical place. I feel very blessed to have been able to be married there and I whole-heartedly recommend it to any bride looking for a unique and sophisticated outdoor venue.

At every stage, Tina made our happiness the top priority, sheltering us from potential sources of stress and showering us with loveliness. Planning was delightfully easy, and she ensured that our only "job" on our wedding day was to have the time of our lives. That was easy, too.
