Honker Bay Ranch is simply spectacular. The owners (Jack & Judy) are salt of the earth and so kind. When walking around their property, it is obvious how many different values this place has. In addition, their bridal suite is incredibly open, and to top it off, they make sure it is locked during the ceremony to other guests aside from the bridal party. One of the things I loved most about their amentities, is that they do the clean up and you have access to the venue basically all weekend. Their rules are simple and sensible, and it is obvious they cared. And to top it off, Judy's shed is a brides dream. We sincerely loved this place and will be recommending it to everyone we know. Honker Bay Ranch is a hidden gem!

Jack & Judy, you delivered on everything you promised! Not sure in what the issue was with the bitter review that was last posted. Yes, indeed there is a short gravel road that leads to Honker Bay. There is nothing wrong with the little hard packed rd that leads to your property! Loved seeing all the animals along the side, and it's ridiculous that anybody would state that it was unsafe! If they thought the road was so bad, why did they book your venue in the first place? John and Andrea's wedding was all that they wished for! Thank you so much for being available to oversee everything during the wedding! You made it possible for Scott and I to enjoy the wedding and not worry about anything! Honker Bay was perfect!!!

Jack and Judy Smith are awesome people to work with. They are very nice people. The venue was beautiful and comfortable. Very thoughtful and treat you almost as member of their family. I love them and will never forget them. I will recommend their venue to anyone!

The venue was beautiful. Jack let us decorate how we wanted. They gave a lot of recommendations. Even though it was 104 out the shade really helped. They asked us to take as much trash as we could and then they took all the recycling. They also said they would hand me my deposit check the next day after clean up and they haven't retutned or cashed my check. Made me a little uneasy on my honeymoon. more good than bad and i wouldn't have changed a thing. My wedding was perfect. It has been 10 days since my wedding i hope my check arrives soon. My Check Arrived Promptly After Along With An Apology For The Misunderstanding About The Recycling. After Reading One Of The Reviews I Just Have To Say Yes Jack Along With His Staff Are Present And Make It Known At The Event. If You Think This Is A Bad Thing You Might Think Again. He Is Not Just Protecting His Property But Also You From Your Guests Getting Out Of Line And Possible Breach Of Contract Without Your Knowledge. It Made Me Feel Secure Because Frankly You Can't Watch Everyone At Your Wedding. And As For.The Driveway... If You Don't Know How To Yield On A Dirt Road You Need To Learn!! This Place Is Bottom Line Beautiful And If Something Isn't Rite And They Can Help They Will.

Honker Bay Ranch is a very unique and relaxed setting, it really can be whatever you want it to be. It has great scenery for wonderful photos and the owner Jack Smith keeps the place VERY well maintained.
Everyone said our wedding was the best they had ever been too! The day was just perfect thanks to Jacks crew! Especially Taylor! Shes adorable and easy to work with... I would definatly recommend having a wedding out there, he has clay pigeon throwers for a shot gun wedding ;p (Like mine) he has great entertainment for all... The male owner of this business planted himself outside with the wedding party and making people feel uncomfortable. The road getting into and out of this venue is one lane, extremely rocky and you cannot drive more than a few miles and hour or you and the contents of your vehicle will be bouncing around like crazy. The road is not safe. On one side of the road is the pond. On the other side is a ditch which is bad news. The edge of the road at the ditch is soft. While I was leaving the venue I reached over to my passenger seat to grap something that was falling and accidently got too close to that edge of the ditch and my car was suddenly sliding into the ditch. The male owner of this business came out to the accident scene and starting screaming at me and even called the Highway Patrol and told them I was drunk which I was not. The Highway Patrol determined that I was not drunk and noted that the road was unsafe. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Stay away. The male owner is a nightmare.
