They were good and were able to provide me with what I wanted. (I didn't need anything super fancy). It did take a long time, but I didn't mind. :)

Sad to say, but this school is not respectful of black students and I do NOT recommend this school to anyone looking to attend an school for cosmetology. My daughter is currently a student and on several occasions she has been harassed by the receptionist in the front and nothing was done about it. She was sent home and the person whom is the receptionist up front continued to work the rest of the day. You pay $25K for a year and they run out of products on a regular. So how can you teach when you do not have the products? What is the money paying for?
Students are not allowed to speak with the director for any reason. She sits in her office and ignores students and parents. I called and tried to make a appointment and of course she did not answer the phone. this is not a school that treats black students with the same respect as they treat white students. Or is the RECEPTIONIST up front do not like a student they are allowed to 'pick' with students. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL TO ANYONE FOR SCHOOL OR EVEN A SERVICE! They feed you a pipe dream when you do a tour that this is the best school ever! I had a friend go there and get her hair died black and when she came out it was bright red in the sun.

I had an *awful* experience here the day before my wedding. The person who did my facial ran out of time, and left me with a lot of redness that did not go away in time. Also the steamer broke. My mani was sub-par and I had to even out the edges myself afterwards. To top it all off they overcharged me and would not take my gift card. The overcharging and gift card were worked out by phone after the wedding. I gave them one star for flexibility because they let my maid of honor get a pedi instead of a mani. Heh.

My wife went to Aveda for waxing services a few days before our wedding. I dropped her off at 9AM and picked her up at 3PM. That is six hours, time she could have been spending with our guests who were coming in to town. The services provided were physically damaging to the point that she was uncomfortable wearing pants for 4 days, not to mention the fact that she felt humiliated the entire time.

This was not her first time getting waxed, just her first time at Aveda. Sadly, she should have known better. She had her hair cut their last year and they butchered it so badly they told her she didn't have to pay.

I would not recommend them to anyone for anything.
