Atlantis Banquets & Events is a unique wedding venue located on Long Island in Riverhead, New York. Nestled on the banks of the Peconic River, this iconic waterfront wedding venue is a one-of-a-kind setting in the heart of Long Island. The dedicated event and culinary specialists at Atlantis Banquets & Events will assist you in creating a once-in-a-lifetime wedding celebration that you and your loved ones will cherish forever.
Facilities and Capacity
Your guests will be mesmerized by the 120,000-gallon Lost City of Atlantis Shark Exhibit, the penguin and sea lion exhibits and beautiful fish tanks located throughout the Long Island Aquarium. Couples who prefer a romantic, classic venue can dance the night away in the Sea Star Ballroom with panoramic views of the marina and tranquil Peconic River.
Atlantis Banquets & Events can accommodate up to 320 wedding guests in the classic, waterfront Sea Star Ballroom and 275 guests in the fun, interactive Coliseum Room of the Long Island Aquarium. These venues feature several options for couples to exchange their vows and celebrate their nuptials both indoors and outdoors.
Hotel Options
Located in Riverhead, New York, named a Forbes Advisor Top 50 Best International Places to Travel, and just minutes from the famed Hamptons on the South Fork and historic Wine Country on the North Fork, waterfront suites and room blocks are available adjacent to our event space. Enjoy our luxurious, waterfront accommodations at the Hyatt Place Long Island/East End adjacent to the Sea Star Ballroom, or modern, boutique suites at The Preston House & Hotel just across the street. Our Waterfront Suite is another lavish option overlooking the Peconic River and features a one-bedroom suite with a full kitchen, bathroom and living space.
Services Offered
Atlantis Banquets & Events is a full-service catering venue that is available for wedding ceremonies, receptions and other celebrations including bridal showers, engagement parties, rehearsal dinners and post-wedding brunches. This resort also offers two hotels for overnight accommodations for out of town guests. Their event staff will be with you every step of the way during your wedding planning and wedding day. The venue offers complimentary valet parking for all wedding packages.

A magnificent experience!
The event was magnificent and far exceeded our expectations. The cocktail hour was extremely bountiful and beautifully displayed. Picture perfect. The items were restocked as fast as they were consumed. There were an astonishing amount of selections to choose from. All made to perfection and all delicious. The choice of five dinner entrees was impressive. According to the guests and ourselves, all were flavorful and generous dishes prepared as requested. The desserts and cordial bar were enjoyed by all. The entire staff was courteous and professional and kept a steady flow of the event.
The grand ballroom itself is a beautiful venue that overlooks the Peconic River and is conveniently situated between the Hyatt Hotel and the Long Island Aquarium. All part of the Atlantis complex. It was a pleasant and cozy experience to gather together for the free buffet breakfast with our guests who stayed overnight at the Hyatt. Some opted to visit the Aquarium to add to their weekend festivities.
All the vendors suggested by Atlantis were professionals and each proficient in their craft. The lighting was dazzling. The floral displays were stunning. The DJ and MC were very energetic and kept the party fun-filled and lively. The music was perfectly balanced for all ages. Photographers Mike and Joe were patient and courteous. We found that their vibrant personalities added to the entertainment.
All this perfection would not have been possible without the incredible patience and professionalism of our Sales Manager Joan LaRosa.
Joan spent a full year responding to our every question and replying to our many emails. Offering suggestions and improving on our own.
All the time with genuine and concern to create a couple’s dream come true. We could not thank her enough. We are all still in the afterglow of the Atlantis experience and wish the same for those who are lucky enough to choose the same.
