In November of 2017 my wife and I held our wedding reception at the Riverhead Aquarium, and eight years later this experience is still so special that we continue to spend our anniversary at the aquarium and the partnering Hyatt Hotel each year.  From beginning to end everything was perfect due to the exceptional staff at both the aquarium and hotel.  Suzanne Lincoln was especially instrumental in ensuring our guests had a comfortable stay, that gifts were distributed appropriately upon check in, and she even continues to go above and beyond each year when we return to the luxurious bridal suite.

The venue itself was incredible; dining and dancing with the fish in a beautiful intimate setting is an experience not to be matched.  Photographs with a sea lion and penguin are memories we will never forget.  The wedding staff was incredibly attentive, ensuring that we and our guests had everything that was needed at all times, and at the end of the night and the next morning the hotel staff did the same.  

I would recommend this venue to anyone for their wedding, not only for the atmosphere, but for all of the close personal attention you will receive throughout the course of your monumental occasion.  I cannot say enough about this experience and I am so grateful for it.  Thank you to all for helping my wife and I make beautiful memories.  

Staff, food, experience all top notch. Guests are still talking about our wedding months later and how it was unlike anything they’ve ever been to before! It was unique in all the right ways and the venue allowed it to be a true experience for everyone.

From our initial tour of the venue, we knew that Atlantis Banquets and Events was where we wanted to have our wedding. If you are looking for an incredibly unique experience, this is it: The venue overlooks the water so guests were able to watch the sunset over the water during cocktail hour, and then, everyone moved inside to the Long Island Aquarium where they were able to dance and dine amongst the fish tanks. The aquarium transformed that evening into what felt like an enchanting underwater forest. Atlantis has an in-house caterer, and the food was exquisite. We received comments from guests who are notoriously picky eaters, and they said this was the first wedding where they’ve been able to eat (and enjoy) the food! There was a huge team working the evening of our wedding, and they kept everything running smoothly. The staff were all incredibly professional and kind throughout the night. We worked with Joan and Bryan throughout the planning process, and they were absolutely wonderful. They were responsive, detailed, and helpful throughout the year as we planned and finalized event details. They also helped us coordinate our after party AND our hotel block (both within a few steps of the venue). I truly think Atlantis Banquets and Events, and the Long Island Aquarium, is a hidden gem of event venues on Long Island. The location is stunning and conveniently located in downtown Riverhead, the venue is so unique and beautiful, the food is delicious, and the staff is wonderful. Take a tour of the venue – You won’t regret it!

Our daughter and son-in-law were married and had their reception at Atlantis Banquets and Events’ Sea Star Ballroom in Riverhead, NY.
The event was magnificent and far exceeded our expectations. The cocktail hour was extremely bountiful and beautifully displayed. Picture perfect. The items were restocked as fast as they were consumed. There were an astonishing amount of selections to choose from. All made to perfection and all delicious. The choice of five dinner entrees was impressive. According to the guests and ourselves, all were flavorful and generous dishes prepared as requested. The desserts and cordial bar were enjoyed by all. The entire staff was courteous and professional and kept a steady flow of the event.
The grand ballroom itself is a beautiful venue that overlooks the Peconic River and is conveniently situated between the Hyatt Hotel and the Long Island Aquarium. All part of the Atlantis complex. It was a pleasant and cozy experience to gather together for the free buffet breakfast with our guests who stayed overnight at the Hyatt. Some opted to visit the Aquarium to add to their weekend festivities.
All the vendors suggested by Atlantis were professionals and each proficient in their craft. The lighting was dazzling. The floral displays were stunning. The DJ and MC were very energetic and kept the party fun-filled and lively. The music was perfectly balanced for all ages. Photographers Mike and Joe were patient and courteous. We found that their vibrant personalities added to the entertainment.
All this perfection would not have been possible without the incredible patience and professionalism of our Sales Manager Joan LaRosa.
Joan spent a full year responding to our every question and replying to our many emails. Offering suggestions and improving on our own.
All the time with genuine and concern to create a couple’s dream come true. We could not thank her enough. We are all still in the afterglow of the Atlantis experience and wish the same for those who are lucky enough to choose the same.

Amazing venue! Had the most beautiful wedding!

We had our wedding at the Seastar Ballroom in October 2023. Everything from the food to the venue was just perfect!

I had the pleasure of working with Joan, at the early stages of my wedding planning. I also worked with Bryan as the wedding grew closer. My husband and I got married on wedding there on August 13, 2023. From the moment that we saw the venue we knew that this was the place where we wanted to have our wedding. We both love sea life, the place was so unique to host a wedding there. Atlantis Baquents and events also has a traditional ball room as well, however we wanted to have our reception inside the aquarium. We got married outside on the riverside pavilion. Although it was an hot day it was manageable. The cocktail hour was set up around the koi pond as well as inside the Riverfront room. My captain and Bridal attendant where just wonderful. They made sure my wedding day went smoothly, and where there when ever I needed them. It was a hot day and the captain and Bridal attendant made sure to pass out water to all of the bridal party during the photo session. The Food was excellent, we did a taco station for cocktail hour and it was so good. For dinner we did the buffet so everyone had a option to choose what they liked. Seeing the table set up and the atmosphere was amazing. All of our guests had a great time.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this venue. Everything, from the staff to the food, exceeded my expectations.

My husband and I worked with Joan and Bryan in the months leading up to the big day, and they were wonderful. Their professionalism and amiability put me at ease, and I can honestly say — as the bride — I was never all that stressed during the planning process.

I'd also like to give a shout-out to all the staff members who worked our wedding the night-of. My bridal assistant was fantastic, always checking in and asking if my husband or I needed anything. She even got us some extra entrees to take back to the hotel room. Also, towards the end of the night, I noticed my pearl bracelet (an old family heirloom) had broken. My bridesmaids worked with some staff to search the floor, and we ended up finding 5/6 of the missing pearls!

The care and conscientiousness of each and every staff member did not go unnoticed, and I definitely recommend Atlantis to anyone getting married on Long Island.

Many guests came up to my husband and I to compliment Atlantis as well — in terms of the pure uniqueness of the venue, how delicious the food was, and how great the staff members were.

Thanks to this venue and its very caring staff, my husband and I had a truly wonderful and unforgettable wedding.

Our wedding day was everything we could have imagined, and more. Atlantis was a pleasure to work with, communicated promptly and effectively. They are super flexible with planning and were always willing to answer any questions and help however they could. We absolutely loved working with Joan and Bryan to help our vision come to life. Scott was our captain the day of and he absolutely killed it, everything ran so smoothly (at least as far as we could tell)! We had a REALLY big wedding, and Scott and the rest of his team were able to coordinate the timing down to the minute, and stick to it! Shout out to Liz, the best bridal attendant ever- we always had a full glass, food in front of us, and she was willing to do anything we asked. The food, both during cocktail hour, and the plated entrees were to DIE for. We are still having people reach out weeks after telling us how great the food was, and how great the bartenders, and wait staff were at each table. We are soooo grateful for all of the time and energy that Atlantis Banquets and Events put into our special day. Can't recommend this venue enough!

I had my fairytale dream wedding here. I was a Covid bride who had to postpone and it was 10000% worth the wait. It was so magical and so much better than I could have ever imagined. I could not be happier with my experience as an Aquarium bride. My guests will be raving for years to come. Craig was so friendly from the start and we felt he genuinely had our best interest at heart. Dan the owner was absolutely incredible. Him and my dad became besties at the Seaside grill the night before my wedding. Bryan our details coordinator was great. My bridal attendant was an absolute gem and so helpful through the whole day. My captain was great too. Even the servers said congratulations and kind words to me. Staff was on point! Suzanne at the Hyatt was very accommodating and helpful. Having a room block connected was so great as I had a ton of out of town guests coming from Rhode Island. The hotel indoor pool, outdoor pool, a gym, breakfast til 11!!!! I had breakfast with my guests both mornings which was so fun and it was so nice not to have to plan a brunch for out of towners. The staff was sweet and helpful. They even asked how everything went the next day. Where do I even begin? My guests were greeted with strawberries and champagne, led out to the pavilion for a beautiful sunset ceremony, then our cocktail hour was an awesome indoor outdoor near the koi pond. The food was incredible and I highly recommend adding the seafood boat. We did photos before the ceremony which was great so we could enjoy the cocktail hour. They even made sure we got a little plate with h’orderves which was thoughtful. We also had champagne and wine in the bridal suite. Walking through the Aquarium just before closing I felt like a literal Disney princess with all their patrons young and old stopping to say how beautiful I looked. They made everything so easy to plan and I kept thinking I was forgetting something because it was such a stress free experience. I got to take photos with the Penguin and the Sea Lion as an add on. Soooo magical. We did the buffet and it was amazing!!!! The food was so good. We had a band, Dj, and a photo booth. They put out our centerpieces and votives and the shark room looked stunning. Our tables were next to the exhibits which was so cool! We added on the ice cream bar which I highly suggest. My guests loved it! We had so much fun. Truly a perfect evening. We ended up at the Seaside bar at the hotel after the reception for an after party. There was another bar inside too. The staff was so great! If I could do it all again I would in a heartbeat. The bakery they used for the cake was rolling pin. They order it for you which makes it so easy. It looked pretty and was actually delicious! We did cannoli cream. I will also say that being a bride during Covid was stressful but they made rescheduling so seamless and easy. No wild fees or anything. They really care about their brides. You could have your wedding at a regular venue our you could have your wedding at a venue that’s truly unforgettable. Look no further!!!! Have your wedding here, you will not regret it!!!

Atlantis was the best choice we made! Their staff were a delight to work with from the first email. They are extremely well coordinated during the planning process. It put me at ease to know I had nothing to worry about the day of. The venue is immaculate, well cared for over all great space. Everyone took photos on the balcony! Our guests were in awe of the food and space. We have heard nothing but good feedback. The two bars were a hit, never a long wait. The staff the day of was friendly and made the day perfect. Would highly recommend on all fronts

From start to finish these guys made it SO EASY. The venue was GORGEOUS and the staff was incredibly sweet. I cannot say enough good things.

We met Joan on our first tour. She was a joy and a huge help from the first minute to the last. Joan was dedicated to our day being exactly the way we envisioned. She would always answer an email, whether she was in the office or not. She would track down the answers to our questions even if she didn't know the answer right away. We could not have had such an unbelievable day without her help!!

We absolutely loved having our wedding at the Long island Aquarium ! We did our ceremony in the pavilion, cocktail hour around the koi pond and the reception in the Coliseum around all of the fish tanks! It was the absolute most perfect setup ever!! The maitre d' and bridal attendant were so awesome with keeping every one in order and on time for everything. They made sure every one had everything they needed and they were always there when you had a question. They made us feel super comfortable the whole time. The whole process of working with Atlantis in planning the wedding was easy and painless! Every detail I imagined came to life on June 22, 2018 and I am forever grateful that my venue was so perfect! My guests like to refer to it as it being magical! I would highly recommend the Aquarium for a wedding event!!

My fiancé and I had our engagement party at the Long Island Aquarium on January 20th and we could not have been happier. All of our guests had such an amazing time and had so many great things to say about the food and atmosphere. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect so I did not have to worry about a thing. The aquarium was the perfect venue for our party and I definitely recommend it to anyone interested!

The whole weekend of my wedding went off without a hitch. The staff at the aquarium were on their "A game" and kept the whole event flowing. They kept me at ease through the whole event. This is why you go to a big venue, they have all the ducks in a row. I would recommend this venue to anyone!

I haven't had my wedding there yet. We scheduled it for an August wedding and I have to say so far it's been an amazing expierience! They have worked around our schedule and they have never rushed us they have taken there time to explain and show us everything numerous times, even stayed after close to meet with us and again no rush. They have been absolutely amazing and have made me more excited about our wedding than ever!

I loved everything about our wedding at Atlantis this past December! Their staff is amazing and professional, the price is great and they know how to throw a party.

As soon as I saw that having my wedding at an aquarium was even an option I was in love - my fiancee not so much - but, Atlantis has a gorgeous building next to the aquarium for traditional weddings too. We ended up having our ceremony in the beautiful lobby, the reception in the upstairs ballroom and the after party in the aquarium with the sharks and sea life. It was spectacular and many of our guests are still raving about what a great time they had.

The food was tasty, I loved everything I tried. We did a mini dessert hour that just had an amazing amount of cakes, pies, cookies, pastries, cordials and an ice cream sundae bar (huge hit!)

The staff is professional and easy to work with. Any request I made they were typically able to work with and everything was perfect down to the detail day of. During the wedding itself I always had a bridal attendant refiling my drink, keeping us on schedule and helping everything run smoothly.

The best of all is that the groom and I had a fabulous time ourselves - we were mostly worry free on our big day. I highly recommend Atlantis Banquets and Events - it's a fabulous place to have your wedding!!

Although I have not had my wedding yet (scheduled for this September in the Sea Star Ballroom), I've had such a wonderful experience working with the staff at Atlantis thus far. I would like to personally point out that the Hotel Sales Coordinator, Suzanne Lincoln, has gone above and beyond to accommodate my wedding hotel block at the Hyatt Place East End right next door. Even after my hundreds of emails, she was so professional & helpful! We are so happy and can't wait for the wedding in September!

The venue, staff and food was amazing! The venue is so unique and unlike any other wedding i've attended.

I loved having my wedding at the aquarium. It was such a beautiful venue, and I received so many compliments from my guests. The whole staff was accommodating and attentive to everything! I loved having the cocktail hour in the aquarium and then the reception in the ballroom, it was a very unique experience and wish I could relive it!

We had our Wedding here 6-5-16, and it was amazing!!! The whole team was outstanding - Craig Alexander, who we worked with from the beginning always felt like family and any questions we would have he would always address. Jayme who detailed the wedding was excellent and again any questions we had she always addressed. The day of wedding we worked with Carlos who was the captain, Lori who was the maitre d’, and Ashley who was the bridal attendant. They were great and kept the day running smoothly. There was never an empty glass, all 3 came over to us if we needed anything, and the guests were really happy. The day we got married it did rain, however, all of the aqaurium is beautiful, and again, the set up was perfect and on point and it turned out to be better than our original set up had it not rained. I also just wanted to give a special shout out to my bridal attendant Ashley - prior to the ceremony, we took pictures outside where it was very humid, my hair was a mess, she came to the rescue prior to the ceremony, she re-curled my hair, and was able to get the veil on! She also saved us some food and took everything from the bridal sweet to the hotel for us. Ashley went above and beyond for us that day and we will always be greatful for that. All in all if you want something different, yet still the "long island" type wedding, this is the way to go!

You will not find a more professional group of people to help plan and execute your wedding. Although we initially planned on getting married outside, due to the weather, we were forced to change our plans. They didn't hesitate in quickly setting up the ceremony inside and moving everything around. Everything was planned so perfectly. Everyone has been gushing at how wonderful the venue was. The food was INCREDIBLE, especially the grilled cheese and tomato soup bar. We have received so many compliments on our wedding. From initially planning with Craig, to finalizing our event with Jayme, it was an easy process. Lori, our maitre'd, was out of this world. If you are lucky enough to have her oversee your event, you are in good hands.

It was a lovely beautiful event. The staff was incredibly attentive. I thought there would be an issue with the music and the eating area of the aquarium, but seats and tables were placed by the dance floor so wall flowers could be part of the shenanigans.

We got married at the seatar ballroom after being there for another event and loving how beautiful and different the venue is compared to their attached aquarium. We loved that the Hyatt hotel was also attached and a few steps away for the convenience of all our guests. The service, food, and appearance of staff was amazing! We have not heard one negative thing from our guests about their time at the seastar. The cocktail hour food was plentiful and delicious according to all our guests! Dinner was amazing as well! My only complaint was my cake, it was done at the rolling pin bakery and tasted amazing but not what I asked for décor-wise at all! I had emailed over an ombre cake that I was IN LOVE with and what I got was 2 tiers of one color and 2 tiers of another, it looked cheesy but there was nothing that could have been done at that point and it really did taste amazing!

It was a unique venue. Everyone of my guests had a great time, as did we. I heard the food was great but my husband and I did not get a chance to eat anything. There were a couple small things that went wrong but I believe that true for every wedding. Overall great place.

Absolutely amazing staff and service

Atlantis was the perfect place to have our wedding. All of our guests went out of their way to tell us how amazing it was and that it was the best weddig they'd ever been to. Nothing fell short of our expectations. I could not have asked for a better day!

Everything was fantastic. We had compliments from guests for weeks after the wedding. The entire wedding ran smoothly, I was never bothered by the event staff, they hand eked everything. I couldn't have had a better time!

Everything about Atlantis was AMAZING! The staff was truly professional and made everything seem personable. They were always there when we need them and they answered all of our questions right away. The amount you get for the price was fabulous! My husband and I couldn't have been happier! All of our guests loved the venue. They loved the feel of the aquarium and just the way it was setup blew them away. We really couldn't have picked a better place to have our wedding!

Atlantis was really fantastic, they accomodated me on everything and made the entire process of wedding planning enjoyable for me and my wife. The staff was fantastic both in planning and the day of. Our wedding was a dream come true thanks to Atlantis Banquets and Events. Both Steven and I were treated with respect and loyalty and also had top quality service. The recommended vendors such as ADA Photography and Sound Choice Entertainment were absolutely fabulous!

Our wedding at Atlantis was perfect! The Venue and staff were so helpful and amazing. They all went out of their way to make sure all our needs were meant and taken care of. I would highly recommend Atlantis, they made my wedding day the best day of my life.

The aquarium in Riverhead was fantastic! The people are the nicest, and most attentive people I have eve met. If you want a wedding or any kind of event that is out of the box then you need to go to Atlantis Marine World Aquarium in Riverhead., The food was excellent the atmosphere left my guests speechless.

It went very smoothly and I enjoyed the day. One thing that usually goes unmentioned is how nice the staff looked. Clean & neat. Very upscale.

We had a wedding planned for July 4, 2013 but there was a sickness in the family that came on rather suddenly. Craig was wonderful and helped us find a new date that was only a month away. I'm still getting compliments on how our wedding was the wedding of a lifetime (it IS an aquarium after all). The bridal attendant, Jayme and the Captain where amazing. There were a few hiccups along the way, but the wedding was wonderful. We ended up going back the next day to give the bridal attendant and the captain an extra tip (and we're students with little money, so that's saying a lot). I'm already planning our 50th wedding anniversary :)

I couldn't have been less stressed on my wedding day thanks to the staff at Atlantis. They took care of the entire day.

The Sea Star Ballroom is a great venue for a wedding! The staff and service was amazing!

Excellent experience from start to finish. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and were attentive to all of our needs leading up to and on our special day. Such a beautiful and unique place to have a once of a lifetime wedding! We loved everything about this place, which had so many aspects of the wedding handled that made it very easy for us. We would absolutely recommend Atlantis to any couple looking to have an amazing and unique wedding venue at a great value!

I absolutely loved Atlantis! The ballroom is beautiful and the staff is amazing! They trully made me feel very special. They are extrely organized and pay attention to every detail. Not to mention the food was absolutely delicious! I could not have picked a better place to celebrate my wedding!

We had a wonderful wedding! Our ceremoney, cockatail hour, and reception was all on site and all went extremely well. We were specific in what we wanted and were accomcomated by the Atlantis. Many of our guests commented on the great service that was provided on that day. We consider ourselves very lucky to have had the wedding we truly wanted. Our sincerest thanks to all the atlantis staff involved in our wedding from start to finish- you will always have a special place in our hearts!

Craig and his team were amazing and made our night perfect!

While our wedding was already fated to be a memorable one given the conflict of the threatening hurricane, the atmosphere, service and unique experience your facilities and staff provided allows it to be remembered for more than the ill fated weather! Atlantis is more than a catering hall; I feel it would be a disservice to call it that. Upon entering the establishment our guests were instantly transported to a magical fabled location. The overwhelming abundance of quality food and drink was unspeakable; with many guests pondering if a dinner was indeed to follow, how would they be able to consume it with the little room left in their stomach? The unique scenery left guests floored as they circulated around the room to see the various marine exhibits.
While one may feel that it would be hard to contend with the aquarium, the Sea Star Ballroom left those in attendance in a similar state. As cocktail hour ended, gasps and further words of excitement followed as guests were escorted by staff up the marble staircase to the reception area. The grand chandelier held a place in various conversations throughout the evening; particularly given its blue lit lights which were questioned as coincidence or staged to match the bridal colors. Through the evening, our guests continuously raved about the impeccable service that all tables- not just those on the head tables- had. They rarely had a drop left in their glass before a new one appeared! Along with the vast quantity of food, they were thoroughly impressed with the quality; many unable to fathom how it could be made on such a large scale at such a high excellence. While many guests made their way to the dance floor, others took in the various sites from windows and the balcony; a few found more enjoyment from the bar (many wondering if they drank too much or if it did indeed light up under the marble!) It was a great honor to be the first wedding in the new facility.
I am embarrassed that I do not recall her name, but I did want to highlight an individual who made mine and my husband’s evening spectacular; our bridal attendant. From her positive, uplifting words regarding the passing the weather to the attentive service, she was amazing. She consistently made sure that every detail and need was completed and assisted in any way needed. At the end of the night, I was surprised to find that she had all our belongs- glasses, cake server, pictures from cocktail hour- set aside in a bag for us.
The various correspondences from those in attendance after the event is a further testament to the success of our wedding due to Atlantis; I can not count how many people called to rave about it! Even a few of my unmarried friends stated that they will definitely be calling in the future to host their wedding there.
Again, thank you for the success of our wedding and for making our dream wedding more than we could have anticipated.

Atlantis Marine World truly made my wedding the most greatest and memorable day of my life. They were incredibly accommodating in every way possible. The food was delicious.... and the cake OMG! it looked sooooo amazing. I love how they have many options on where to have different parts of your wedding, food, and such. I would certainly recommend them to any couple who is looking to get married on Long Island. The best part was certainly the atmosphere of it being in an aquarium... it was classy and not cheesy at all. I looooved it!

We used the Atlantis for a Bar-Mitzvah on May 1st 2010 and have to say it was an unbelievable experience! From the day we booked it, which was 2 years in advance to the day of our party it was nothing but smooth sailing!! Instead of making this a long review that no one reads I will just hit the most important things... They place looked magnificent, who needs decorations there? There was nothing that I asked for that wasn't responded with a "Yes we can do that", they made suggestions to me that made my party even better, they added food in the end to my cocktail party which was a surprise. Nothing was off limits, except the ferris wheel, which Bob informed me can be dangerous of throw up accidents if to much drinking goes on! When all was done and we said our goodbyes, the staff had every single thing packed up for us and on a cart to help put in our car. We literally walked out 10 minutes after the guest. It was a perfect night that I would never forget nor will any of my 200 and some guests!!

AMAZING!!! This was the best venue possible. Besides being a unique facility, the best food, the best value, the staff are wonderful. Any questions that we had were answered right away. Any issues that came up during the wedding the staff dealt with on their own and I never even heard about it. They go out of their way to make sure your day is stress-free and perfect. The only slight drawback that we noticed is that the dance floor and tables are in two different rooms so when the wedding first started people weren't dancing... however the dj was able to get everyone in to dance. The aquarium is so neat because all of the displays are open so people can walk around and enjoy the beautiful aquarium.

I can't have asked for anything better! Atlantis Marine World gives an amazing wedding! Not only is the aquarium gourgeous but the whole place is yours for the night! This is a unique and memorable wedding that screams fun! The staff is an A+, the food exceptional, they were so attentive to our needs and their attention to detail was perfection. They were open to any suggestions that I had and were always easy to get in touch with, very easy to talk to and we really felt like a pampered well looked after bride and groom. We got to pick out details to make out day unique to who we are.

I am still hearing compliments from my wedding. You wouldn't usually hear of a wedding in an aquarium. At first this sounds as though it would be cheesy and way too out of the ordinary. Atlantis turns this wedding idea into a sophisticated yet fun reception venue with all of the features of any other reception hall, but with the addition of an aquatic wonderland. First off, you can have the ceremony virtually anywhere on the aquarium grounds. You can get married outside on the docks, in front of a coy pond, between two statuesque penguins, indoors, or even in a shark-tank. You have full run of the whole aquarium, as there are no other guests there besides your own. Atlantis provides it own catering service and takes care of everything from table and centerpiece set-up, event planning, and even provides the wedding cake with design of your choice. The dinner tables are set up literally next to the fish tanks creating an underwater environment to keep your attention the whole night. The food was absolutely amazing, beating out any food I have ever eaten at any other wedding or restaurant I have ever been to. The staff provided service promptly throughout the entire process from booking and throughout the night itself. Contrary to popular belief, there is NOT a fishy smell in the aquarium as you eat. If you want a memorable wedding replacing fancy wallpaper and chandeliers with beautiful fishtanks and underwater adventure without giving up elegance, delicious food and amazing service, an Atlantis wedding is for you.

The food, decor and service were incredible!

Atlantis Marine World Aquarium is the perfect venue for the nautical couple. My husband and I chose it after finding out they held weddings, we had gone there on many dates. There is nothing like tying the knot in front of an indoor lake and waterfall - especially when the bride makes her entrance on a beautiful wooden bridge. We were married in November 2004 and people are still raving about our wedding. People dined next to tropical reefs and the kids were entertained by the touch tanks - petting stingrays and bamboo sharks. For those who were not into dancing - there were tanks and exhibits to gaze at. They had the dinner line go through the Shark Tank cave so that no one was bored waiting for dinner - they enjoyed watching the sharks, fish and infamous sea turtle "Jaws". Their food was delicious - they had a buffet, there was something for everything. The baker did an AMAZING job - he made our cake exactly how we wanted it, I didn't want to cut it!! It was absolutely amazing and beautiful .... I suggest it to anyone!!

We just had our wedding reception here a week ago and i can not explain how amazing it was. We have had so many compliments and the service from the Maitre'D to the servers and the food, AMAZING. the bridal suite was fantastic, and the service was just amazing. Everything came out perfect and I am truly sad it flew by so quickly, but I enjoied every moment. HAVE YOUR WEDDING RECEPTION HERE you will not regret it! We had Jayme and Patti help us with all the details and payments and they were fabulous to work with, very understanding and helpful.

Everyone at Atlantis Marine World did such a phenomonal job for my wedding! We have had hundreds of compliments and many people telling us that they have never been to a wedding as amazing as ours! We will never forget that day and Atlantis helped make our wedding the best day of our lives. If you want an amazing, beautiful and unique reception, I highly recommend Atlantis!

My daughter and son in law just got married at the Aquarium!!! As soon as we met with Joan back in December of 2021 to book the venue we knew it would be a phenomenal place for a wedding. Joan was so easy to work with and kept us on track with everything. Bryan the event planner helped us when we were about 2 months away from the actual day. The place is magical. Beautiful. We had the ceremony in the boat house, the cocktail hour by the coy fish pond and the reception in the actual Aquarium. The staff was amazing!! Our guests were blown away!!! The food was delicious and the options were great!!! The entire wedding from beginning to end was like a dream come true and I’m sure our friends and family will be talking about this wedding for a long time to come. We took a vendor package for an additional 5000.00. It included a choice of florist , DJ, Baker and photographer. All of the vendors we chose were fabulous. We did add ons with the DJ and the florist. It was so much easier to have everything at your fingertips. The wedding was timed perfectly and the person in charge was great and accommodating. They really care about giving the bride and groom a magical day!!! We did two additions to the regular “something blue” package and both were of our choices were big hits. We can’t thank everyone there enough for a day we all will never forget!!! Pure magic and joy!!!

absolutely amazing venue and perfect for someone looking for something unique. i had a blast, as did all of my guests. the food is amazing. and the staff is extremely attentive and friendly! pricey but worth every penny!

Atlantis totally did us right. From the get go they were super responsive and maintained that high level of attention throughout the entire planning process which was extremely impressive.

On the day of the event, everything clicked into place and we knew we were in able hands. Many of our guests remarked on how great the food and service was.

We were looking for a unique venue and found it in Atlantis. If you are looking for something different but do not want to have to coordinate everything yourself, Atlantis is the perfect fit! And they have a shark tank! What other venue can boast that!

We got married here on 12-2-16 and we would have to say that we had an exceptional time and experience. The only reason we didn't give 5 stars across the board was because of a communication issue that we and one of their staff members had. Other than that I would definitely have another event here, people are still talking about our wedding and not ONE person had any complaints. Our ceremony was in the tent and our reception was in the main aquarium, between the tent set up, aquarium and the DJ everyone had an amazing time. We still have people coming up to us telling us they have never been to an event like this and the tanks in the background made it even more spectacular. The price was reasonable! If you want an amazing night to remember......book this venue, you will NOT be disappointed!

My wedding was everything I wanted and more! I didn't look at any other venues besides Atlantis. I knew I wanted something different and unique but still elegant and that's exactly what I got with Atlantis. We had our wedding reception in the actual aquarium it's self and all my guests can't stop raving about it. Everyone said the food was amazing and the service across the board was awesome. Patti and Jayme were great, they listened to everything I asked for and was super accommodating. I wish I could do it all over again, I absolutely loved my wedding!! Seriously if you're thinking about the aquarium just do it you wont be disappointed!!

Atlantis was fabulous. My wedding was absolutely beautiful. Atlantis was very professional and accommodating and my guests had an amazing time. The food was unbelievable and you cant get a better setting to get married. Banquet halls are so boring compared to this. I wish I could get married there again!

My husband and I got married on July 22, 2016. We had an incredible wedding and everyone has been telling us how much they loved our wedding. It's incredible to see how quickly they transform an aquarium filled with people from the public into a beautiful wedding venue.

We did have some snags along the way, however. Our table numbers were picture frames with the the numbers on top. When we were taking a break from pictures, my groom and I noticed that they were setting up the picture frames on a table outside with half of the numbers gone. Had we not noticed this, the table numbers would've been all messed up. In addition, we were about 30 minutes late for our first look since there was a lack of communication between the photographer and the venue. My now husband was waiting by himself at the wrong docks in the 90 degree heat. No one could find him and there had been no one helping him out.

Throughout the evening, my bridal attendant and the captain were nowhere to be found. I have a feeling the aquarium was short-staffed and didn't want to say anything to us. Once in a while (I believe after a bridesmaid said something to her), the attendant would stop by for a second, but she wasn't helpful. Before my ceremony, I would've loved to have a snack or two, but my bridal party had eaten much of it. They asked for some more crackers, but we never got any. In addition, looking back at pictures, my hair looked awful from the heat and humidity. I wish my attendant had given me a hand before the ceremony and at least told me that I looked like a mess.

My sister bustled my dress after pictures and before the entrance. In addition, my bustle broke and I had bridesmaids and guests helping to fix my dress. My food was taken away before I even ate it and my attendant never came to ask if I needed anything. My friend's husband acted as my attendant, getting me food and drinks.

Overall, we had an amazing time. I just wish there was better communication and more help.

Awesome venue great location everything went perfect

We had a wonderful wedding, my family and friends absolutely loved it and had a great time. The only three things that were not perfect was we were unable to bring our own beer in or it was a ridiculous amount of money to do so, we were unsure how to start the event ( took a bit for someone to direct us where to go) however was incredibly wonderful after that. Adrienne was fantastic and was so helpful ( our bridal attendant) and one of the tables escort cards were not put out right away. These were very small things that occurred and besides that the event was amazing, and unique in which all of the guests will talk about for awhile. I can't imagine getting married anywhere else!!!! Thank you Adrienne, Lori, Craig and Jayme. Also to the mysterious captain in the back lol.

Atlantis Marine World is a unique place to have your ceremony and reception. We were delighted with the end product. There is so much detail in having a wedding, and to expect to have your vision be seen without heavy instruction is too much to ask for and too much stress for me. I gave them the items I wanted at my wedding and some idea on where I thought I might like them. They took it to a whole new level. Everything looked great and they had such a fun time putting it together for me. I did forget to mention that the bridesmaid's bouquets were suppose to go in the holder the florist brought, but it was immediately corrected. I can't describe how awesome they were during the day of the wedding. Our Maitre'D Lori even saved us from our photographer so we could at least try to eat some food. (Thank you Lori).
The one word of advise is watch the calculations and make sure what is on your contract is what is on your bill. We had a small discrepancy of $40, so it wasn't a big deal but I had to keep making sure what I had on the contract was what we were getting because we changed hands so many time during the process. I don't know if this is practice but the original coordinator we had left, so we were assigned to new people.
All is all it was a great wedding. They were very flexible and accommodating to my every whim, but I wouldn't say I ask for much. Just a great time with friend and family, and that's what I had: the best time of my life!

Atlantis Marine World was a fantastic choice for our wedding! We absolutely loved the different venue, in comparison to a typical catering hall. We had our ceremony outside on the pavilion, cocktail hour around the Koi pond and our reception inside the aquarium. All of guests approached us and had nothing but great things to say.
Our only complaint occurred during cocktail hour. After the ceremony, my husband and I went into the bridal suite to relax for a little while and enjoy a few minutes of peace. Unfortunately, no appetizers or food of any kind that we had at our cocktail hour was there for us to enjoy. My husband asked a staff member to bring a platter of assorted food for us, but that food never came. I found out after the wedding that my father had also asked a staff member outside for a plate of appetizers for us, and still nothing. I understand that the staff won't be able to handle every request, but this seemed to be a very simple one to me. I also find it ridiculous that no food was placed in the bridal suite for us. We ordered a seafood platter (and paid extra for it) to have in the bridal suite, and good thing we did because otherwise we wouldn't have had anything. My opinion is that if the bride or groom asks for something simple like a plate of food in the bridal suite (or anything that day for that matter), there's no excuse that it should not be taken care of. If you choose this venue, my advice is to ask ahead of time to make sure there will be cocktail hour appetizers in your bridal suite.
Despite that small hiccup, we had an amazing day! All of the staff were very helpful that day and Craig was fantastic in helping with all of the planning! We couldn't have done it without him! I definitely recommend this venue, you'll be sure to have a wonderful day!

Our wedding at Atlantis was exceptional! The food was excellent, the price per plate was very reasonable, the atmosphere was spectacular. It's been nearly a month and our guests are still talking about it to their friends, apparently it was the wedding of the year and that's due in large part to the efforts and service by the Atlantis staff. I had to give 3 stars on Professionalism only because we had a conflict the night before the wedding, we were scheduled for our rehearsal but they booked another event and we got shafted. However they did make the venue available to us earlier on our wedding day so we could rehearse then, so they did there best to fix everything as well as they could. I would definitely recommend Atlantis to anyone looking for something more than your typical catering hall, this was truly the experience of a lifetime for us and our guests, and that's thanks to the staff at Atlantis.

Great venue to work with! Everyone was so nice and helpful! It's definitely a plus that it's a one-stop shop with a hotel attached. Seriously, my only gripe was that there was never any hand towels or anything to dry your hands off with in the bridal suite bathroom and I asked them a few times to put towels or something but they never did. Other than that, they were perfect.

Overall our wedding was great, but the weeks and months leading up to it were stressful. Our menu and our concept were unique and we designed it ourselves, and although at first we were assured that everything could be done to OUR plans as it came closer people became less responsive. In the end, we stood our ground and the event turned out great, but the management/event coordination left a lot to be desired. Three key people really made up for the rest of the staff; Chef Sean, Jayme and Mal. Those three are awesome. Venue is beautiful. Chef Sean's food is delicious. Serving staff are exceptional and attentive to all guests. Just get new management.

the place was nice. it was a little hot but i guess thats what we get for picking a wedding in august. plus i know that they couldn't put the temp down to low because of the fish. There was little to no discount on the hotel part, I had a lot of out of state guests and tthey were wtill charging us $260 a night and that was garanting them 12 rooms. 2 days prior they still had 8 rooms open and still wouldn't drop the prices at all. me and my wife actually couldn't afford there room and had to stay off site from atlantis. the people were nice they helped us in anything we needed they were on top of getting me and my wife our drinks and food the people where top notch in there service and everyone was really nice.

This was the first place we saw when planning our wedding. After seeing it we couldn't picture having our wedding any where else. First of all its amazing and very unique but there are a few issues. Our ceremony was from 7:30-8:00, cocktail hour from 8:00-9:00, and dinner/dancing from 9:00-1:00. We were told to write a schedule down for our evening such as first dance, cake cutting, etc but nothing went as planned or in an order that made sense. We already had a schedule set with our DJ yet everyone at Atlantis kept changing it throughout our wedding. After our ceremony for instance we were told to mingle with our guest at cocktail hour and at 9:00 they would introduce us along with our bridal party. Which doesn't make sense to me...why would we go mingle with our guests only to be reintroduced later? then we thought we would have our first dance followed by our dances with our parents but we were asked if we could save that for later because dinner was about to start. We didnt have our first dance until much later and our guests were still eating and they had to keep asking our guests to leave the dinner area to see us dance in the room over. Then we were told to save the garter and bouquet toss for much later. I wished we got chance to have a more traditional schedule that made sense I felt like our guests were being pulled back and forth between rooms. With all of that said overall we got many compliments on how good the food was and how beautiful the venue was. I would recommend this place because your guests will enjoy themselves but i recommend if you decide on this place to finalize your program and tell them ahead of time how you want your night to be.

Our wedding was held on Sunday, October 11 2009. Please take this below letter sent to Bob Lanieri, the Aquarium Director of Catering, on Monday, October 12th 2009 in careful consideration.

Bob,

First allow me to complement you on the service, atmosphere, and food that I, my new wife, our family, and our friends enjoyed on the night of October 11th 2009; it was an experience not soon to be forgotten. I truly meant what was said in the card... your are a gentleman and a master craftsman. Our bridal attendant Kim was exquisite. Kim was charming, attentive, and an absolute joy. The wedding, from an outsider's stand point, for the most-part was flawless. I would truly like to thank you from depths of my heart.

However... I am not sure whether or not Ron (the maitre d') has made you aware of the rather embarrassing episode that occurred at the close of the evening. If not, please allow me to explain...

At sometime just after 12:00 am of what was a rather exhausting evening (and thankfully after ALL my guests had made their way out), Ron approached me with a "Gratuity Chart", which, according to him, "we should have been provided with at our last meeting with you (the catering director), which was not the case.

It was my understanding that the "service charge" included in the $13000.00 paid to Atlantis Marine World was to cover ALL further expenses including gratuity to the attending staff that evening.

After having a marvelous time, being approached by Ron with yet another "BILL for SERVICE" was to say the least embarrassing and insulting. I departed feeling rather let down by the whole experience.

My wife & I were NEVER made aware of this "Gratuity Chart". Yes, your staff does deserve any and all gratuity due to them. They worked diligently to insure that all my guests had a marvelous evening. I have thoroughly searched ALL of our records regarding the information you have provided us and found NOTHING of the sort. (My wife, too, remembers never receiving one or even hearing of one, and if it was given to us, she would have had it, and this would not have happened, as she is neurotic about details like this.)

I presented Ron with $500.00 cash from my wedding gift envelopes, that I, feeling like a fool, frantically sorted through in a side office at 12:30am, as my new bride, and our bridal party/family sat outside in an idling limo, in curiosity as to what was occurring inside with just the sense that something was not right.

After all the wonderful things I have heard and read about events held at Atlantis this was so very deeply disappointing. I, and everyone I have spoken to, have been truly bothered by this occurrence. We are all hesitant to return to Atlantis Marine World for any reason due to this unfortunate incident.

I feel that somethings were too costly in comparison to other venues, but did not understand why. I found it highly uncommon and did not appreciate the 20% "service charge" being taxed. It only took away from what we would have given as the tax really did add up.

Before the actual date I was so excited to have my wedding at Atlantis. the night of the wedding was horrible. I was charged for 6 extra plates. I was bothered on several occasions that I owed money for these plates. I shouldn't be bothered with this during my wedding. It was in my contract to have chair covers, to cover the outdated chairs. The night of my wedding there were no covers on the chairs. In all my pictures I now have these ugly chairs!

Although the atmosphere was beutiful the service and profesionalism left a lot to be desired. Also we never knew the gratuity was forced we thought that the gratuity was based on the service. We payed a lot of money for not so great service. The service wasn't bad but the level of professionalism wasn't good. Judging by the other reviews it all depends on the day i guess.

There are several factors that have resulted in my rating. Instructions were neglected.Bustled my own gown as the BA did not know how & our bridal party had already joined cocktail.
Matire 'D & BA were M-I-A leaving our photographers & party to navigate the Aquarium & attempt to manage where to go for our images with the animals it was a lovely little guessing game.
We walked in circles trying to find where the bridal suite was within the Aquarium as we had never been shown where it was located. Not once did anyone pop their heads in to check if we were okay if we needed anything perhaps we left something at the hotel needed hairspray, a bobby pin,or even a DRINK of water?Atlantis was so far behind that cocktail hour went over by 30 mins which means everything else would now be rushed.We were 70 mins late before we even started the toast. It’s not as though everything was set up outside & a huge gray cloud came out of nowhere I was advised at NOON everything would be moved & adjusted... (Hmm... we can't be the first wedding ever here... or the first time it’s rained... can we?)I asked the BA "Can I please have a drink!?" That was the first & last I would see all night as not once were we I asked if we were OK.The 2 bottles of Jameson we paid $66+ per bottle for as it was not included in any of the bar packages, & Atlantis wasn’t flexible with swapping or throwing 1 in for the groom were “gone”. In the event it did exist you'd think you'd see the bottle going down & place it to the side for the groom?No..Just me?Evidently we had a room captain? We met him once at the end of the night when everyone was looking for their envelopes which yes we still gave out undeservingly so even to spite standing within earshot of our bridal attendant speaking to our DJ (good friend & business partner) & hearing her say & I quote "This entire event has been a S#%* Show!" Ahh… Why yes little one it has been... Thank you & your colleagues for that.

The venue for a wedding at the Long Island Aquarium was magnificent !! The staff was attentive and did an adequate job. Now onto the food.


- the cocktail hour was sub standard. The table that offered the kebobs such as, chicken, shrimp, beef, and scallops was unimpressive picture this, little meat on kebabs with no vegetables all on a little hot plate. Every one i ate was either warm or cold with absolutely no taste!! Normally i would be going back for seconds and thirds. Instead I was praying I wouldn't throw up!

The cold area was adequate.

The bartending was excellent!

The dinner salads was so small that I finished eating my salad in 2 bites.

- main course buffet- the white rice that they served was not cooked. Yes not cooked!! Can you believe this? All the gust complained!! Maybe they thought we were going to throwing it at the Bride and Groom?

Chicken was cold no taste and flat like a pancake
Salmon- had taste but was very small, warm and overlooked.

The short ribs was the only serving that had some taste to it. It was on par with an order at the Olive Garden.


The best part of the meal was the ice cream bar. More
Guests enjoyed that then the entrees!

My advice would be to use this venue for a wedding but make sure you get a professional to cater it.l

although the facility is a beautiful place. I have to say that the services provided are substandard. The "bridal attendant", was rude!!! & the "matra'de" was also THE most unprofessional person I have ever encountered. The bridal attendant was not to be found when needed. The hall charged for EVERYTHING! including putting the chair covers on?? Nothing was announced People had no idea the couple were about to cut the cake So much to mention. No it is not worth the price they charge think twice before booking your event & get EVERYTHING in writing

I had many issues and got no response when I contacted them after my wedding. My photographer was yelled at by my bridal attendant before she stormed off, leaving my groom to hold my dress. When the cocktail hour was over there was no announcement, they simply turned the lights off leaving my guests to wander in the dark. I had a guest book and they put the guest book at an entrance that only the staff was using. I had flip flops for the dance floor and a thank you frame for the gift table, all of these things I found in the restroom. I had my 94 y/o grandma ask to get her good wrapped and the Maître D yelled at her that they do not "wrap food". My sisters table was set with the wrong amount of seats. Her table was short by two leaving two guests to stand. When the groom approached the maître d he told him that it was correct. Only after my husband made him count the seats did he realize. I never received my throwable bouquet although my florist swears she left if with the maître d. I can't believe that these issues meant nothing to the aquarium especially after what we paid. I will never recommend this place to anyone. My wedding was by far the best day of my life because I married the man of my dreams and had nothing to do with Atlantis banquet & events.

They did not do anything they said they would do. They did not follow through with their end of the deal. This was my wedding not something you can do over. They ruined it they did not set up the room, broke my cake topper, ruined my mothers memorial candle, threw out her rosary beads, bridal attendant and person in charge of the wedding was terrible, my reveal was in a hotel lobby because they had no back up plan, my photos are horrible, dj was a disaster, They made my family and bridal party walk in the dark with no assistance to the elders walking by them selves and when asked for assistance they were told no. Our day was suppose to be special and Atlantis did not do that at all. We are very upset and tell everyone we possibly can no to do anything with your place. We will make sure we continue to rate you every chance we get to let them know according to Jason Skinner it is acceptable to use this situation as a learning experience to teach your staff. Well thanks hope my wedding was in your learning experience but it is something we can never have again and we waited 10 years to do this and you were suppose to make it special. I also plan to write as far up as I can to let everyone know that Atlantis does not keep their word and feels it is acceptable to do so. i wonder how any of you would feel if your wedding day was ruined because people did not do what they were suppose to do but got paid in full for the event.
