Ashley and Shynna were amazing. I am not a “girly girl”, but these girls made planning and getting ready so much fun! They made me feel beautiful, and despite Covid, helped me have the best wedding I could’ve possibly had. HIGHLY recommended. Affordable, flexible, and gives you what you want!

Shoutout to Shynna for my hair and makeup - she is curly girl approved :) All my bridesmaids genuinely loved their makeup. Shynna and Ashley were such a joy to be around during the trial session and, more importantly, on the big day. They were on time and ready to go the morning of the big day and kept to the schedule for all girls and mothers. The bridge (my daughter) looked like a Jane Austin character which made her extremely happy. And, as mother of the bride, I asked for an old Hollywood glamour wave and it was perfect. Much of the make-up was a custom blend for each girl and everyone looked natural and fantastic. The pictures look great. I highly recommend this beauty team.

They were communicative, creative, and amazing at combining their expertise with each individual's vision of what she wanted to look like. No one in my family had ever had their hair and make-up done before, and they were instantly comfortable in Ashley and Shynna's chairs. Ashley and Shynna were a dream on my wedding day. I had an early Sunday morning wedding and they came to me at 5am to do hair and makeup for my bridesmaids, mom, and myself. I immediately felt comfortable with them and chose them for makeup/hair services for my wedding. Meeting them in person for my trial felt like I was hanging out with friends, we had a great time and my hair and makeup turned out great! I had one less thing to be nervous about before my wedding because I knew I was in great hands. The day of my wedding, I was feeling nervous and stressed and ended up in tears. Shynna stopped what she was doing and gave me a big hug and pep talk. I didn’t feel like just “another client” as is often the case with vendors. I was absolutely glowing by the time Ashley and Shynna finished my hair and makeup and felt like an absolute princess! My bridesmaids were stunning as well. I loved working with Ashley and Shynna! I'm someone who's not very experienced with makeup/hair, but they were so helpful in explaining their thought process and helping me understand/articulate what I envisioned. Both were very flexible as well in finding times to meet with me/adjusting to my needs and I really appreciate their support! I would definitely, 200% recommend them!

When I connected with Ashley and Shynna they met with me right away for a virtual consultation, and they were within my budget but so freaking talented and knowledgeable. Throughout the process, they always got back to me right away whenever I had any random question, and made adjustments right up to the last minute--even when I realized a week before I needed to add one extra friend to get hair and makeup. They were lovely to spend time with, and did an incredible trial for me. Shynna nailed the color palette I wanted, and even recommended a makeup remover I'm now obsessed with. And after the trial, when I decided I wanted to go a different direction with my hair, Ashley got exactly what I was going for and it was perfect. I looked better than I ever could have imagined!

Ashes & Shine did an amazing job with my hair and makeup for my wedding! I especially want to recommend them for curly haired brides. I wanted to keep my curls natural but elevated and so they came in and wet my hair down, did it curl by curl, and dried it so that it would be my same natural hair but super gorgeous. Also loved the makeup, and in general their energy was so sweet and lovely. You spend hours with a hair and makeup person on your wedding day, so it has to be someone who is as kind and wonderful as Ashley and Shynna. Also, I really appreciated the trial it was a nice experience to get to know them a little better and make me feel more comfortable with my wedding look! I also appreciated that they were up front and transparent with their pricing which made it easy to know exactly what I was getting.
