Facilities and Capacity

Couples can make use of the restaurant space and the event space available in this venue. They can host up to 250 guests for their celebration. Both areas feature detailed hardwood floors, plenty of natural light, and industrial accents for a couple’s wedding day. The restaurant area would be great as a receiving room before the reception, where guests could mingle and enjoy cocktails. It could also be rented as the main reception room, with plenty of seating already included for dinner. This room, with it’s built-in bar, features wood and leather accents throughout. The event hall portion of this brewery features more exposed brick than the restaurant, with an open floor plan and a few metal columns to support the ceiling.

Wonderful venue for wedding welcome reception!

We had a pre-wedding welcome reception at the Appalachian location in Harrisburg. The folks at ABC were great to work with and we had a great time and would HIGHLY recommend them for wedding events. We found their information online, and were able to quickly have a tour of the space (we were in the Abbey bar, the second floor of the brewery which was reserved for us) and received a quote for the event. The beers were excellent, the food was amazing and plentiful (we had the tater tots, pretzel sticks, bruschetta and a slider bar). We initially booked the space for three hours but ended up extending it during the event since our guests were having so much fun! We definitely recommend Appalachian!

Comprehensive service, gorgeous venue

We worked with special events manager Eli throughout the planning process. (We think he's a manager, anyway. He should be if he isn't, because he was a total boss.) He helped us plan everything about our reception, he was very flexible and easy to work with, and he made it very easy for us to get our other vendors in touch with him directly to answer questions and coordinate day-of logistics. We used the entire second floor for our reception, which included the Abbey bar, the Gallery Room, and the outdoor patio. The second floor was easily accessible, even for a few of our family members with limited mobility. The whole reception was just lovely. Our guests loved that pool and shuffleboard were available throughout the night. As far as pricing, the venue was extremely affordable. We made a small deposit when we first booked the event and then wrote a check for the remainder at the end of the night on the day of the wedding. ABC provided the food for cocktail hour and dinner (we opted for plated meals, but they offer buffet-style for events, too), linens, drinks, and amazing staff for the night. We were very happy with the entire planning experience, and the reception was everything we could have asked for.

Great Experience

I got married at ABC this fall and had a very positive experience! The space itself is beautiful, classic, and historic and was a great backdrop to my simple, minimalist aesthetic (although I think it could suit a lot of different styles well). The food and drinks were good and a great value. We played our music on the sound system and that was easy to setup and sounded great.
Alisha, the event coordinator at ABC, was very helpful and went above and beyond. During the planning stages she was very helpful with offering advice on schedule, layout of the room, etc. and was very flexible and willing to work with our budget. The day of the wedding she was invaluable and really helped the day to run smoothly.

We had our rehearsal dinner here. The food was AMAZING, we had access to the bar, and the staff were great to work with! We would absolutely recommend this venue!

My husband and I came upon this venue by accident while eating dinner at their restaurant one night. After eating their delicious food, we learned that you could rent the area upstairs for events. We took a quick tour and my husband was all smiles. We toured a few other locations that week, but before we even decided on a ceremony location, we knew we had to have our reception at ABC. Luke and his team made the entire night go SO smoothly. I brought my decorations up the night before and they did an amazing job of setting them up. the food was delicious and if you're a craft beer fan, then this place is a no-brainer. Luke even worked with us, because our budget was a little constricting. The entire day was spectacular, and ABC was perfect for us. We could not be more happy with our reception. 5+ stars!

We rented the entire 2nd floor and loved every moment! We looked at a few other places but ABC had that vibe we were looking for. A few weeks before the wedding we found out our Event Planner changed, this ended up being the best thing that could have happened. Luke was awesome, he went above and beyond before, during and after our reception. We loved the food, atmosphere, staff … EVERYTHING. 100% of the time Luke was right there when we needed anything. We are so happy that picked ABC! THANKS EVERYONE!

PS- If your thinking of your reception there try the white lasagna, YUMMY!

Appalachian Brewing Company - Abbey Bar (Cameron street location) was a great reception location for our wedding. l When booking the date for our reception, communication was a bit slow, but that's to be expected as Alisha, the special event coordinator, also over sees the location's concerts and brewfests. She's a busy individual. As the day grew closer, she was invaluable and excellent to deal with. The food was awesome. We had heard stories from others that had attended things at this location, but Alisha put our concerns at ease. She worked with our special requests and was very pleasant while things were happening the night of. I asked that she approach me about any changes to our food or drink allotments instead of going to my Bride so she could enjoy the day and Alisha did exactly that. All-in-all, I would definitely recommend the location to another couple. The bar staff were cheery and super professional, the beer was good as always, and the entire evening was in a world - "Excellent".

Use this for your reception if you're looking for a comfortable, rustic location and you will not be disappointed.

The only reason I did not give a full five stars is because Alisha is extremely busy and it is sometimes tricky to get a hold of her. Of course I mentioned this to her and she gave me her cell phone number and was perfect after that. This venue has great prices and amazing food! The bartenders are super friendly and Alisha's assistant? Michelle was super friendly and competent. The reception went without a problem and was everything I could have hoped for. We even had them do the decorating for us and it was beautiful plus the gallery comes with stands of lights on the ceiling. They even provided most of the stuff for centerpieces and followed the seating chart I had made. On top of all of that, our buffet style dinner was amazing and Michelle plates dinners for my husband and me which was so wonderful because my dress made it a bit difficult to keep getting up and sitting down. This venue worked with us and was worth every penny while being extremely reasonable priced for about 85 people with an open bar of beer and wine.
