Alex did our wedding pictures 11 years ago, and we have loved every picture, the memory they hold and the story they tell. We wanted candid moments that told the story of our wedding day, and that’s exactly what he delivered. His pictures are timeless, his eye for detail is refined, and his work is exceptional. Fast forward to now- we had a horrible house fire in 2017 and lost all of our wedding pictures, the CD’s and albums. We look through storage, searched through software and accounts and came up empty. I reached out to Alex, knowing it was a long shot; having our memories from 11 years ago, but to our dismay and shock he had them stored in an old archive. This brought tears to my eyes and once again showed us what an exceptional job he does. The fact that we were able to get those pictures back is something that is irreplaceable. What a GIFT! Alex was wonderful to work with! He listened to what we wanted and what our budget was and created a perfect package for us. We were instantly comfortable working with Alex because of his awesome personality and that was super important for us, so we both looked and felt natural in our pictures. Alex has an amazing eye and we have some incredible landscape shots in a location that he scoped out before our wedding day. I cannot recommend Alex enough and we are so thrilled that we were lucky enough to work with him!

Alex is incredible. I knew I wanted him to be my photographer during the first conversation we had. He is humble, kind, funny and attentive, and will make you feel comfortable. Yet somehow, he steps back (at the times he needs to) and is present at your wedding, but you have know idea he is there, and has captured the most amazing moments. My photos show emotion, meaning, fun, and beauty. I did not have a videographer, so I knew that my photos needed to be everything to immortalize my day. He is also an excellent listener, and wants to make the bride and grooms vision a reality. It is such a personal decision about who you want to join you and your family and friends, on your wedding day...and Alex was absolutely fabulous.

Cannot say enough about Alex and his team. They really outdid themselves for our big day. Captured the most beautiful moments throughout the ceremony and reception in a way that we didn't think would be possible. Also, we did a number of "site shots" just myself and the groom, and his use of light and exposure is utterly amazing. He was also very flexible and listened to what we wanted/were looking for from the photos. He even suggested and then made a special trip to meet with me one-on-one prior to the wedding to visit the site and go through it together. Extremely reasonable prices for the great service and quality provided.

We knew we wanted really good photos for our wedding because when the day is over the one thing you are left with are the photos. We knew we wanted the best. We did a lot of research and Alex was competitively priced with other highly sought after premier photographers, he actually beat them out on price which was great. He is slightly more expensive than most standard photographers, but let me tell you it is 100% worth it to pay a little extra money to get a world-class photographer to shoot your wedding.

I felt beautiful on my wedding day and a part of that was knowing I had Alex on my side to shoot my best side. We had already created a good rapport before the wedding but even if we hadn't, Alex can put you at ease. He makes you feel so comfortable in front of a camera; I had let him know some of my insecurities before we started shooting and I can tell you I didn't have a single unflattering shot.

For me there are a ton of amazing things about working with Alex but my #1 has got to be the fact that he doesn't ask for cheesy shots. We've all seen it, the same wedding pose you see time and time again where the couple looks so awkward and uncomfortable because they would never pose like that in real life; it usually includes some sort of lying or leaning on one another. Yeah, we didn't want that and Alex never directed us to do anything like that. Now if you want that, you certainly can ask him to up the cheese and Im positive he will be able to deliver but thats not his go to. He wants real photos that show love and comfort and happiness and he captures the essence of a couple, not just on their wedding day, but how they live their life together.

Alex's photography is epic, our wedding photos are epic. Book Alex! Don't hesitate!

Booking Alexander Rubin Photography was one of the best wedding decisions I made. I have a very unique and particular personal style, and I wanted to capture really dramatic images during my wedding, especially given my coral pink wedding dress. I spent hours going through other local photographers, who did have beautiful photos, but they were all very posed and traditional. As soon as I viewed Alex's portfolio on his website, I knew within 30 seconds that I was going to book him. We got to meet Alex for an engagement photo session, and he was lively, friendly, and so professional. He was so flexible with what we wanted and suggested great locations for us to shoot at. On the wedding day, Alex and his associate, Rachel, were so amazing. They came early, got all of the photos I requested, and I was blown away by our dramatic wedding preview photos; I couldn't have been happier. Many of my friends told me the images looked like they were straight out of a magazine. I like how versatile Alex is (commercial/editorial/wedding photography)- he has so much variety that you are destined to have amazing photos. I would recommend him to anyone!
