Since its earliest beginnings as a private garden, Airlie’s picturesque grounds have attracted guests for lavish parties and extravagant entertaining. Conveniently located near Wrightsville Beach, Airlie has remained a coastal oasis known for its formal gardens, seasonal blooms, live oaks and historic structures.
Our commitment to preserving the beauty and history of all 67 acres make us one of Wilmington’s most desired venues. Whether you are looking for an intimate celebration or a larger gathering, Airlie Gardens offers several event spaces, each with a gorgeous backdrop for your wedding.
Airlie Oak Lawn: Draped in Spanish moss and resurrection fern, our 500-year-old southern live oak is the focal point of our Oak Lawn. Ceremony only.
Bradley Creek Lawn: Located between Airlie Lake and the Bradley Creek Pier, the Bradley Creek Lawn creates the perfect atmosphere and water view for any ceremony or tented event. The lawn provides plenty of space for dining, entertainment and lawn games. Ceremony or reception.
Pergola Garden: As a ceremony-only location, the Pergola Garden is our most popular formal garden for weddings and photos. Full of seasonal blooms, the natural aisle leads to an extraordinary backdrop of the Pergola structure and fountain. Ceremony only.
Minnie Evans Bottle Chapel: Our Bottle Chapel Lawn features a beautiful sculpture of colored bottles, celebrating the spirit of Minnie Evans. Used only for smaller events, this lawn offers a more intimate wedding spot. Ceremony or reception, 150 guests.

March 2026 Wedding - Airlie Gardens
Andrea and Abigail, from the Airlie events coordination group, were incredible to work with and made the entire process seamless. On the wedding day, they treated us like royalty, using the wedding tram to whisk us around the property for photos. We loved having full access to the grounds, from our private first look in the Secret Garden, the ceremony at the Pergola garden, to our final portraits under the iconic Airlie Oak.
The staff handled every detail, including signage to guide our guests from the parking area. We also really appreciated that they kept the Pergola Garden off-limits to the public during our ceremony to keep the moment intimate. Airlie Gardens is the reason our day was perfect, and we can’t thank the team enough!

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL venue right near Wrightsville Beach. Several stunning spots for photographs and ceremonies. Nicole, lead coordinator is so easy to talk to and work with. I suggest a Spring time wedding here to maximize the greenery and flowers blooming! But be sure to plan way in advance, they book up quickly.
Is always a pleasure working with the people at Airlie. Have never had any problems with getting in to set up our equipment at our convenience. We truly enjoy making Enchanted Airlie enchanting and hope to do in many years to come. Gardens are always beautiful and a great place to make your wedding dreams come true. Especially the "Big Oak".
