My wife and I recently celebrated our wedding in Astoria, NY, and we're still both in a daze from the great experience we had thanks to DJ Mike who took our celebration to a whole other level.

DJ Mike did our reception and set the tone from the beginning until we had to make our vows. At the party, from the moment we stepped into the venue, the energy was high and he knew when to turn it on and off. My wife and I are actually DJs/Producers and Promoters ourselves, so we're very particular and I was nervous about someone else DJing our big day but obviously we can't do it so I really had to trust Mike and he delivered. He over exceeded my expectations and did an amazing job blending modern and classic Afrobeat hits, keeping the dance floor full and vibrant. He also played some of our favorite hip hop and R&B classics from the early 2000s.

His ability to read the crowd was bar none. He did a couple sets; one that catered to us in our 30/40s and one that catered to all of our parents and their friends who are 60 and up in the beginning of the night. Mike's versatility and attention to our guests made our wedding feel inclusive. I've been to too many weddings where the older folks didn't get to dance because it was too modern and for me it was really important to have our parents dance to some of their favorite hits too.

The presence of a charismatic host added another layer of entertainment to the evening as well, he's a comedian so he really had us rolling and sweating for real!

All in all if you're looking for a DJ who can turn your wedding into a moment for life; I highly recommend DJ Mike. We're grateful for the atmosphere he created. I'm not the type to write a review for anything but from a DJ to another DJ he really held his own and that's an understatement. My wife also really wanted him to get his props because we want another couple to have the same experience that we did.

Mike did my wedding 2 months ago and boy did he do his thing. My wife’s side of the family love Afrobeats and since he happens to specialize in that it was a perfect fit. He actually made me start listening to Afro music a lot more just because of his set during the reception. I recommend him to anyone looking for a dj.

I remarried my wife of 30 years last February and wanted to do a big wedding. We invited over 300 ppl and needed a great dj that would deliver at the reception. DJ Mike was phenomenal at my wedding! His range of afrobeats music was so wide and accommodating to all the cultures present. He mixed Naija pop, amapiano, Congolese sebene, and many more afrobeat genres with ease! He also played music from several generations so my nephews and grandparents had a great time. When we needed people on the dance floor, he knew exactly what to play. He kept the party going welll into the night. I’d highly recommend DJ Mike for any afrobeats wedding, party, or event.

My wife an I spent months looking for a great Dj that can play music for my side which is African and her side which is Latino. My wife was referred to Mike by a girl friend who went to a party he did. She told her that “there’s an African guy that can play great Spanish music and would kill it”. So we searched him up and found him on Twitter and got the guy we needed. Of course the day of the wedding he delivered as advertised. Mixing in Reggeaton with Afrobeats in a way I never heard before. He’s the guy for the job if your looking for great Vibes.

My husband I was having a tough time finding a dj that is great at Afrobeats and R&B. Most the djs we found weren’t really great at it. Or just knew a few songs to play. I seen one of Mike’s dj videos on Twitter and knew he was the man we needed. I reached out to him and locked him in the same day. When the wedding came he had everyone on the dance floor all night. I ripped my dress dancing so much lol but it was all worth it.

Mike did my wedding earlier this year and did a great job. I know his younger brother who referred him to me and it was a great decision. He left everyone dancing all night from young to old.

I was mainly looking to have a live band for entertainment for my wedding but all the prices they were giving were unfortunately way out of my budget. I knew Mike from High School but didn’t know he was a DJ until he posted an event he did on Facebook. It looked like everyone was having a great time so I sent him a message right away. He has to move his schedule around to do the gig but came through big time for me. At the reception he did so well that my mother inlaw paid for an extra hour in the venue so the party didn’t end too soon. Till this day everyone still talks about my wedding and he’s a big reason why. He’s the man🎵

My husband found Mike through a mutual friend since the dj we originally booked to do our wedding cancelled on us last second. My husband went to meet him in person and begged him to take the gig with only 3 weeks left till the wedding. I was so stressed because nothing was going right and I felt like having no dj would kill my wedding reception. The big day came and Mike showed up early to set up. I’m African and my husband is Dominican so our families listen to two different kind of music. I was a little worried about that because I know how my mother is. She only wants Spanish music. From the very beginning Mike has everyone moving to the music. He’s able to blend Afrobeat with Latin songs in a way that made both side very happy. Our music is very much alike when you really thing about it and Mike made everyone see that and dance. It was easily one of the highlights of my special day.
