We decided to go with Affections Florals for our wedding and I have nothing but great things to say about them. When picking out a florist, I wanted someone who was able to do a wedding in Penn Yan and wasn’t going to over charge me. I looked around on The Knot and came across Affections Flower Shop where I came in contact with the owner Charmaine. From day one, Charmaine was on the phone asking me to envision my dream bouquet and flowers. She really wants the bride she is working with to have flowers that say, “these flowers are so her” and not just copy and pasting things she sees online. During the wedding planning process, Charmaine also invited me to stop by her shop to have a quick conversation and see how many options she has for decor. This was nice because not only does she create beautiful flower pieces, she also has decor you can use such as lanterns, candles, vases, and more. The customer service really was great and Charmaine was there for anything and everything. She was able to take my ideas and bring them to life. Between my bouquet to the flowers on the arch at the venue, everything was worth every penny. When I saw the reception for the first time I was honestly blown away and couldn’t believe it was my husband and I’s wedding. The flowers and decor were so beautiful and everything tied together so perfectly. I cannot wait for the photos to come back from the photographer to see the flowers in closer detail! Overall, Charmaine and her staff made my husband and I’s wedding feel like something out of a movie with how perfect the flowers came out.

I was so nervous to see a florist about a winter wedding, she immediately got the vision. And she doesn’t stop with just florals, if you need decor- she has it. You don’t have to worry about your florals getting damaged in travel, she designs on site. She works with the space she’s in to make it as magical as it can be. The ceremony space was disassembled and repurposed beautifully in the reception space seamlessly without any interference to cocktail hour.
