Absolutely amazing! Alix and Connor were so helpful, responsive, and most importantly: friendly and professional. Alix and Connor took the time to get to know me and my husband as people. They made sure to get every shot they needed as quickly as possible without losing any quality. They didn’t waste any time planning their next shot or what they wanted us to do. They knew exactly what they were doing the entire time and cooperated with our photographer to work smarter, not harder. And, they did it all without us feeling like we were animals on a documentary shoot (we didn't even realize they were there most of the time!) They were always so quick to respond to my emails and answered any questions that came up. We received our sneak peak video literally THREE DAYS after the wedding. How fast is that?! The video is absolutely perfect and we are continuously receiving compliments on it. We can’t stop watching it ourselves! We got the rest of our videos back within three weeks which was way faster than anything we expected! We've already spent hours watching and rewatching the perfect videos they created. We went back and forth on whether we should have a videographer or not for our wedding, as it is one of the larger expenses. Finally, we decided to do it and we are sooo happy we did! Alix and Connor were easily some of the best people we could have picked for our elopement to Colorado. We didn’t know exactly what we wanted for our elopement, but they assisted us every step of the way. They helped us find an amazing location, both in Manitou Springs and in Garden of the Gods. They also assisted us in making sure we were allowed to have cameras everywhere that we went ahead of time, and reached out to vendors to ensure a very smooth day. They were also extremely easy to work with the day of, and were very supportive and helpful whenever they needed to be. Not to mention the fact that they’re really cool people and fun to hang out with haha.

The video they put together for us was so amazing. I don’t think we could have found anyone who could have made such a perfect elopement video for us. They got all of the big moments on video, as well as all of the fun ones. It captured our personalities so well, as well as the events of the entire day. We basically gave them full creative liberties and they blew us away!

I would HIGHLY recommend that if you’re looking to elope in Colorado and need a videographer to reach out to them. I can honestly say that without them, we would have been lost in planning everything and everything would have been a lot more stressful. Also, if you’re lucky you might run into them after the wedding hiking/biking through the various trails nearby Colorado Springs!

I wish that I could put into words how much we loved working with Alix and Connor but truthfully, I would then be writing a novel and I know that nobody has time to read that. In all seriousness, Alix and Connor went above and beyond in their production of our wedding video. Our video captured every tender moment, and truthfully the total vibe of our big day! From the little moments, the winks, silly dance moves and overall feeling of our day was brought to life. Truly, in our eyes it is perfection. While Alix and Connor are true artists, their kind souls is truly the icing on top of the cake. They made us feel so incredibly comfortable in front of the camera and they worked diligently to capture every single priceless moment of the best day of our lives. When we originally met with Connor and Alix, we requested a video that was emotional but upbeat. We wanted to relive those tender moments, while being able to laugh and smile at the same time. Y'all... they delivered. There are so many little elements that they included that we overlooked or didn't intentionally do, that we now can cherish for the rest of our lives. I cannot wait to share this video with our future generations. Our grandchildren will hear the stories of having a wedding during a pandemic but more than that, how cool their grandparents were in the year 2020.

Alix and Connor were a true blessing, especially when we found out we had to postpone our wedding due to COVID. When we told them we felt we needed to postpone our wedding and wanted to do an elopement instead they didn’t seem fazed, while we were totally overwhelmed. We likely wouldn’t have been able to have such a special elopement day without them. From first meeting them on Zoom to months after our elopement, they have been quick to respond and check in, and have such a calming quality to them which was so important. When we finally met them in person it was like hanging out with old friends, they are so easy to be around. They were a huge part of our planning process and when we threw out multiple ideas that didn’t seem to make any sense, they were able to piece them together into a beautiful schedule that fit us perfectly. We also had a few places for the elopement location in mind, and they graciously scouted all of them and informed us on all restrictions, licensing, and drone regulations that were involved in each location. We eventually chose an alpine lake above 10,000 feet in Southern CO and they checked it out and let us know the conditions of the area (such as snow, an impassable road, and an icy lake). A big part of our elopement was wanting to do it at sunrise. If you have never been to CO, the sun rises EARLY and the mountain mornings are COLD. I mean, really cold. They were willing to meet us at the trailhead at 4 AM, and then hike up to the lake in the cold darkness. They were an absolute joy to be around the whole day and kept us laughing and on schedule. During all of this they were also very conscientious about COVID which we greatly appreciated as we had been very careful as well.

Since we were planning to have a wedding with our family and friends but had to postpone, we were still able to share our special day with everyone through our video. Connor and Alix were able to capture the perfect moments that made our loved ones still feel included in our special day even though no one else was in attendance. Everyone loved our video and we got so many compliments from our people as well as strangers that had also seen our video. The video we received came sooner than anticipated, and we literally cry every time we watch it (seriously, it’s so good). The emotions and special moments they captured are so important to us, and we know this video will beat the test of time, and be something we will cherish forever. From the first moment we met them, we made it clear that we wanted our dog, Lily to be the star of the show. Not only did they shower Lily with love, but they also made a short montage of just Lily. They heard our ideas and went above and beyond (yet again!!) and the video of Lily is something we will hold close, especially as she is getting older.

If you want videographers that truly care about you as people, who take the time to get to know you, who are educated filmmakers, will go above and beyond for you on your special day, and who are just a ton of fun to be around, you need to book Acts of Adventure for your elopement or wedding! And we will always recommend them to anyone and everyone we know. Hiring them will be the best and easiest choice you make during wedding planning, and you will not regret it one bit!

We could go on and on about how incredibly talented of videographers Connor and Alix are. If you have stumbled upon their work, you already know this as the videos on their website will tug at your heart strings. What we’d like to highlight is everything that is NOT seen in the videos.

Although initially strangers, our first conversation with Connor and Alix felt like reconnecting with lifelong friends. They stood out amongst other videographers as they were responsive, professional, and by far the most genuinely interested in both of us as a couple, not just a client.

We had a very short timeline due to canceling our wedding in Iowa and deciding to elope in Glacier National Park. Throughout this entire process, Connor and Alix helped to setup our timeline, provided location advice, contacted their connections in the area for vendor recommendations, and pointed out permit requirements, which made this process far less stressful. They worked seamlessly with our photographer throughout the planning process and during the wedding day. Everyone seemed so comfortable with each other, it was almost like we had known each other for years.

As if COVID wasn’t enough to deal with, wildfires began to rage on the West coast causing poor air quality and visibility days before our ceremony. Connor and Alix scouted our location in the days prior to our ceremony helping us to deciding the exact timing, driving route, etc. The amount of knowledge they had regarding lighting, sunset/sunrise, air quality, and specifically in the mountains was extraordinary. Had it not been for them scouting the location (a few hours drive), we wouldn’t have had such a perfect ceremony captured at the perfect time.

Most important of all, we feel forever grateful for having had Connor and Alix film our elopement. There are many good and capable videographers out there, however, Connor and Alix have all of the intangible aspects that many others do not. They are an authentic couple with so much talent and insight, but it is their genuine interest in working towards you having a special wedding day that shines through their work. It was things like them going out of their way to scout our location when they weren’t obligated to, or them reaching out with a phone call a few days prior to make sure we felt comfortable about our timeline, or them getting to know us and our music preferences to best represent us, or them thinking to leave us alone for a few minutes after our ceremony to have a special moment, just the two of us, without cameras (this was something we hadn’t even thought about or planned for, but it was so meaningful and truly showed that, for them, it wasn’t just about getting great video the entire day, it was about us).

Having it all captured on film in such an organic and natural way allows us to relive our big day and all of the meaningful little moments that both were and weren’t captured on camera! It is something that we will cherish forever and we hope that, for your sake, you make the decision to have that opportunity as well by booking Connor and Alix.

We can't say enough good things about Alix and Connor. I knew I found my videographer when I watched a wedding video they captured, and I cried my eyes out over complete strangers. We love that they took the time to get to know us as a couple, what was important to us about our wedding, and what we wanted in our video. Our wedding video done by Acts of Adventure is absolutely my (and my husbands) favorite thing to arrive after our wedding. I mean, WOW. We were blown away by how well they captured every part of our day and made it possible to see all the things that went by so fleetingly and to remember the feelings and emotions of every moment. The music they chose was so perfect for us. We got the final video and watched it 5 times in a row and saw something new each time we watched it, through teary eyes. Everyone who has seen it has said the same thing “that’s the best wedding video I’ve ever seen.”
It’s funny that everyone says “your wedding day goes by so fast,” and it does, but having this video makes it possible for us to relive it whenever we want. I didn’t even know they had a drone until we pushed play and saw that they captured the entire venue from up above! It’s more than a video, it’s our entire wedding captured in 7 minutes!

Alix and Connor are artists. I truly feel that they captured the raw essence of the relationship my husband and I share. It’s one of silliness and laughter, but also tenderness and raw, unadulterated love. We laugh and cry a lot (sometimes at the same time), we believe friendships and family must come before all else, and we think life is meant to be a little bit messy, but that in the mess comes beauty. We are so grateful to have this video to memorialize our vows, the speeches, the sights, sounds and emotions of our wedding day.

If you are on the fence about doing a video because you don’t know if you have it in the budget, my recommendation is find the room. The still photos will sit on your fridge, walls and desk for years to come, but only a video can transport you back to that day time and again. I know we had debated with this decision ourselves, as well as a couple of our friends who have also recently gotten married. For those friends who decided not to have a videographer, I’ve heard from most that it’s the one thing the regret not doing.
