Abbey Bridal was wonderful for my wedding dress! They were reasonable and negotiated with me on the alteration costs. And when things weren't exactly as I wanted them with the final alteration, they fixed it right there while I waited rather than putting me through the stress of leaving and having to come back again so close to the wedding. Great place!

My experience with the Abbey was great! It began seven years ago when my sister got married and purchased her bridesmaids dresses from here. It was my first stop when I got engaged. I found my dress on the first trip in!
Amy is one of the managers and she's amazing!

All I can say from working with every consultant (literally EVERY consultant) at Abbey's Bridal Shoppe, is that each and every one of them are as dedicated, as patient, and as professional with finding the wedding dress of your dreams! They listen to your thoughts and needs, assess your body type and have a discussion with you about what kinds of dresses could be possibilities for you. Every consultant there is amazing and truly so personable that after you leave you feel like you've just made 3 new friends. My main consultant, Amy, was amazing. Truly a beautiful person in general but also a fabulous and also very talented bridal consultant. She listened to me, was patient, allowed me to try on almost every bridesmaid dress in the shop along with allowing me to continue to try on my wedding dress whenever I came in. She (and all of the other consultants) were professional, patient, respectful, courteous, and very talented at what they did. I can truly say I wouldn't go anywhere else. I was able to get a gorgeous wedding dress along with a beautiful bridesmaid dress and flower girl dresses at Abbey's. Please take the time to stop by if you are in the area. It's truly worth it.

Loved this bridal shop! After going to David's I thought it was going to be awful but they were awesome! Went in with no appointment tried dressed on and ended up buying my dress the same day! I also got all my brides maid dresses here. I highly recommend going here.

I cannot recommend this place enough! The ladies here were so wonderful to work with! Aimee and Ellen helped me each step of the way, and Carmen did all of my alterations flawlessly! My mother got her dress here and loved them too! The Abbey Bridal Shoppe made me look and feel like a million bucks!

They had just the dress that I wanted. Each of the people that I worked with were very nice. They made me feel important. Overall it was a very good experience.

Abbey Bridal is a cute little shop in Andover, Ma. My dress was exactly what I was looking for, at the most amazing price. I also found the perfect bridesmaid's dresses in the budget I had set. I was satisfied with the overall service, some associates where nicer than others, but that tends to be the case everywhere.
The downside was that they did not have a swatch for the bridesmaid's dress and I never received one. To overcome that, we cut the slightest bit of stitching out of the floor model (no worries, it's not for sale), but that did not totally suffice. Also, the arrival of the bridesmaid's dresses was late, everytime I called they said "in a week", "in two weeks", etc., that went on for about a month and a half.
Overall, it is definitely a place to check out! However, they have no website, so you will have to go there in person!!!

I am very displeased with the service I received at this bridal shop. The first time I went to the shop, I was very happy with Amy and her help in finding my perfect dress.
However, when I went in to try my dress on after alterations, I was completely ignored for 10-15 minutes. After putting the dress on, it was obvious that there was something wrong as it looked lopsided. I expressed this but was told it wasn't and that it just needed to be fluffed. My concerns were ignored and the girl tried to pretend it was okay then proceeded to show us how to bustle. This went on until finally one of my friends convinced her to get the seamstress. Carmen was able to fix it and on my next fitting it looked great! Thank goodness as Carmen was leaving on vacation the next day and wouldn't be back until March. This little detail should have been explained to me before I had the alterations done.
The worst happened when I went to pick up my dress on December 12, 2013 before the wedding. I luckily decided to try it on one last time. After taking it off, I noticed pine needles, lint and dirt specs all over the train. It was not one or two but a whole lot and I only wish that I took a picture. There was also a dirt line across the back of it which the staff pretended not to see. Amy and the other staff woman spent at least an hour trying to get it all off. They were unapologetic and actually laughed with each other about it, while I was obviously very upset. I was told that the dress picks up lint when they drag it or when steaming. First of all, I expected that they would have made sure that my dress was in perfect condition when I picked it up. I do not feel that they should be dragging my dress and if they are aware that the dresses pick up lint then why are they not vacuuming daily or handling this differently? I would think that this shop would be experienced in storing bridal gowns but this is obviously not true.

If i could give this place one star I would. I'm starting to believe this place is closing for a good reason. We purchased 2 dresses for my maid of honor. Since the store is closing it was a final sale. But we went home an noticed both dresses were ripped. The bottom of one of the dresses had holes and rips in the fabric that was not fixable by a seamstress. The other dress had a rip in the skirt of the dress on the side towards the top that was noticeable and the MOH did not want to wear something that had defects. We decided to go back to the bridal shoppe to see if there was anything they could do (Mind you, I had bought a veil there earlier that had 3 rips and they agreed to exchange it). We went back and the attendant told us we had to come back when the owner was there because she was not authorized to make the exchange and we were rushed out of the store. Today we went back since the owner is only there on Saturdays and I have never been treated so disrespectful in my life. The person who sold us the dress was there and told me and the MOH that she could not believe we had the dignity to come back to try and work something out because we had wasted her time, the sale was final and she did not feel bad at all (Exact words, I even have the recording). She told us that the sale was a really good price and she would not try and work anything else out and that was it. Before we could even say a word about the situation to begin with she came up to us and yelled that out in front of a bunch of customers there. I would NOT recommend this place and I am happy that the witch owner of the place will no longer have a business. We weren't expecting a refund we just wanted to try and see if we could exchange the dress for something that was not ripped and that was suitable for a MOH. All in all, I am still shocked at the way we were treated when we walked in there very politely and before we could say anything she barked up a storm. I simply just said Ok and walked out be
