I worked with Marilyn for bride, bridesmaid, and mother hair and makeup. We all LOVED working with Marilyn and she made us all look and feel beautiful. I was especially impressed with the overall process. I had an inspiration phone call with her before booking and then a trial a few months before the wedding. At the trial, we tried a few different things and most importantly Marilyn asked me a bunch of questions about how I normally wear my hair and makeup. On the day of the wedding, I was so impressed because Marilyn had gotten a really good sense of me and what I wanted. I put a lot of trust in Marilyn and her process and the final results were amazing. I couldn't have been happier!

I contact A List early in my wedding planning process because I wanted someone who could work with Asian features, and I found A List. I was contacted by Dantam first and after seeing her portfolio, I knew she was she was the one. Her communication has always been prompt, very professional, and flexible. After doing my trial with her, I felt so confident that I would be taken care of on my wedding day. During the morning of, she brought in two assistants with her, which my bridesmaids raved at their work. But Tam's work that day was amazing! It felt so natural, in person and on camera. She was flexible in changing my hair because I was also going to be wearing a headdress. The makeup stayed on all day, but best of all, my skin felt great the next day (I usually get dry skin after heavy makeup application). I would highly recommend working with Tam for all your makeup and hair needs, cannot rave about her enough!

Ann and her team are absolutely incredible at what they do — I don’t usually wear make up, and was especially anxious about hair and makeup for my wedding day, as I was afraid I wouldn’t look and feel like myself. At my trial, Ann listened to my concerns and needs, and nailed the makeup on the first try! With two back to back events (Hindu ceremony + western ceremony/reception), Ann was able to do two separate looks for me, both of which I was super happy about!! She was quick and efficient, yet it didn’t feel rushed. Hair and makeup aside, I was super impressed that Ann and her team were able to accommodate my (and my 8 bridesmaids’) crazy schedule for my wedding day — it was so nice being able to trust that they’d show up at the right place at the right time, and be able to finish everyone in time for photos. The tiered pricing for the assistants also meant that we could find a price point that worked; and like Ann, they’re all extremely talented, friendly, and professional. I loved everything about working with A List Makeup for my wedding, and can’t recommend them highly enough — I can’t imagine anyone doing a better job!!

Ngan is a delight to work with and incredibly talented. She was really accommodating and responsive when we needed to reschedule our wedding date multiple times due to the pandemic. Her work speaks for itself--I received numerous compliments on my trial and wedding day hair and makeup, including from a few unexpected sources. My mom was absolutely radiant with Ngan’s glow-up. Ngan is thoughtful and I was very impressed with her keen eye for detail and high bar. She made continuous adjustments for a flawless look and made sure we were completely happy with the result. She felt like a close friend and made me completely at ease. Her calming presence was great to have on the wedding day. I really could not have asked for more!

I had a great experience with Nguyen Ha as my hair and make-up artist! I did my trial run with her as well and she was very flexible when covid changed our wedding date. On the day of our wedding she and her co-worker Dan Tam did the hair and makeup of all my bridesmaids. Every person loved the final outcome and they all looked beautiful. Each style was tailored great to the individual person. They also got a lot of services done quickly that morning but without sparing any details on any person. I highly recommend Nguyen Ha, this company and Dan Tam for your hair and makeup services!

Cherie Vo specifically did my (the bride) hair & makeup. I loved working with her, and she is so meticulous in apply makeup/doing hair. She also made the entire process as stress free as possible, making me feel at ease and like I was chatting with an old friend - having kind and calming people around on your wedding day is so important! After multiple events & a long night of dancing, my makeup & hair was still fully intact!

Vicky, Jennifer, and Vy were absolutely amazing doing the hair/makeup of my large bridal party and family on a tight timeline. Amazingly we stuck to our schedule because these ladies are efficient, without ever slipping on quality! All of my girlfriends commented on how confident they felt after these ladies worked their magic.

This review is for the fabulous Julie Cao! I was initially recommended A-List Makeup by one of my friends who used one of their artists. I looked through the different artist portfolios and settled upon Julie for my wedding hair and makeup because I loved the look she was able to create!

I scheduled my trial hair and makeup in July 2019, several months before my wedding in December 2019, because I also wanted to get my engagement photos done. I didn't have a specific look in mind, other than wanting to look somewhat natural and having my hair down in romantic curls of some sort. I don't typically wear makeup, or do my hair, so I really had no input. Julie was able to put me at ease. Since I wasn't planning on wearing any jewelry, hair accessories, or a veil, I knew my hair and makeup would be front and center. Julie was able to create a beautiful look for me with which I felt comfortable and was able to adjust from trial to engagement.

On the day of the wedding, Julie changed a few things up based on my feedback from the trial. My skin is both dry and oily in certain places, and I typically get a sheen at the end of the day, so Julie adjusted with airbrush makeup. My hair was also a little shorter than it was at the trial, and I wanted larger curls, rather than loose waves, so she adjusted the style of curls.

I loved the amazing work she did; my hair held the curls the entire night (which never happens), and my makeup stayed put all night as well! I felt beautiful, I got compliments on my hair and makeup all night, and the photos look incredible!

Ngan Bui did my hair and makeup on my wedding day, and she was amazing! She was friendly, responsive, and professional, and most importantly, she made me look and feel beautiful.

I reached out to A-List Makeup via the form on their website about seven months before the wedding. After filling out the form, individual artists reached out to me with their pricing and portfolio links. It was a little overwhelming to communicate with so many artists at once, but it was nice that they were the ones reaching out to me.

In the end, I'm so happy that I decided to go with Ngan -- you won't regret it! We did a trial two weeks before the wedding where we had more time to talk through my makeup and hair preferences. She was so sweet, and she fulfilled my request of natural makeup with a little bit of glam. I was especially impressed with how my hair turned out, since I wanted a soft, romantic updo, but my hair is very thick, straight, and slippery, and usually does not hold a curl well.

On the wedding day itself, Ngan arrived at my getting ready location with everything that she needed, including a makeup chair and a small Bluetooth speaker for music. Although we both had an idea of what I wanted already based on the trial, we still took the whole three hours to get ready; Ngan took extra care to make my look perfect. I received many compliments on my look throughout the evening, and it held up well after eight hours, even through the rain.

Ngan was awesome, and I can't wait to book her again for other events in the future :)

Lan Diep did my makeup, and Jaylyn assisted with hair and makeup for my bridesmaids. Lan was so sweet and patient with me. I'm not used to wearing a lot of makeup and Lan helped reassure me about what would look good on me. She provided flawless color match foundation, selected the perfect length false eyelashes, and filled in my brows beautifully. My makeup looked natural and enhanced my features. The makeup also lasted all day and photographed beautifully.

I cannot recommend Lan highly enough. Her prices were very reasonable and my photos speak for themselves!! Thank you, Lan!

I would highly recommend A-List Makeup for your bridal hair/makeup and bridal party hair/makeup! They can fit all budgets and you can choose from many artists.

Jessie and her work is amazing! I was in search of bridal makeup for myself on A-List Makeup and found Jessie. I decided to go for a makeup trial for hair and makeup since I wanted to try a few different looks and make sure I was comfortable with the look for my wedding day. If you know exactly what you want, you can also skip the trial too.

For my trial, I told her that I wanted my wedding makeup to be "natural" but not too natural and still look like me. For my hair, I wanted a loose updo and I showed her some pictures for inspiration. Brides, make sure you also include some front-facing photos of what you want as well! I did not have any front-facing photos of hair styles, but good thing Jessie tried a few different ideas on me.

After my trial, I knew I wanted to work with Jessie and had to decide on which look I wanted to go with. From my trial up until my big day, I tweaked a bit of my hairstyle to fit more of what I wanted and Jessie said it would not be a problem :)

My wedding day makeup and hair came out amazing...I loved my hair and makeup so much! I felt like a million bucks and got a lot of compliments on my hair and makeup as well!

It was a warm day, and we had an outdoor wedding; however, my makeup lasted the whole day and night -- I just touched up my nose a bit (I tend to rub my nose a lot) and reapply my lipstick with the touch-up kit she provided.

Jessie is really sweet, fun, and makes sure you are taken care of. I also appreciate that she is easy to get in touch with (email, text, call), which made me feel at ease and I knew I could count on her.
