Thao did my hair and makeup to perfection for my wedding, and I felt like the most beautiful bride on this day!

Doing my makeup and hair with Thao was like catching up with a friend. She made me feel so comfortable and created a glowy glam look, while still making me feel like myself. As someone who doesn't wear makeup often, I really appreciated this and was absolutely in love with my look.

I was looking for a MUA to make me look like a baddass ABG & I was able to book with Thao a week before my sisters wedding!
Thao was very accommodating. I had to be ready for my sister‘s tea ceremony by 9 AM so she was able to fit me in to do my hair and make up at 6:30 AM and we were done by 8:15. I love how Thao made me feel very comfortable and very welcome. She’s so fun to talk to!

My hair and make up lasted all day, even after a 2 hour nap & I love the little touch up kit she gave me!

I knew Thao was the makeup and hair artist to have on my wedding day when I saw her artwork for one of my friend’s wedding. Immediately after my friend’s wedding, I asked for Thao’s information and got connected with her on instagram right away!

I had both a hair and makeup trial run which was very easy to schedule. Thao was very attentive to the inspiration pictures as well as taking notes on what I liked and didn’t like. I booked her right away after the trial for myself, my bridesmaids and family members.

I booked her for both hair and makeup which she did wonderful on! She was open to last minute minor makeup changes day of and made sure I felt beautiful during the entire process. My hair and makeup stayed on for more than 12 hours and it was raining in my wedding day too so that says a lot!!

Thao and one other makeup artist on her team came to my house for the getting ready. They brought all their equipment and worked efficiently the entire time. Thao is very communicative and plans out her time well to ensure that everybody has enough time to get their services done.

I would recommend Thao to any bride!

I would highly recommend Thao, who I used for my wedding. She and her team did magic on me, 5 bridesmaids, and 2 moms on our wedding day. I was worried about timing due to our large group, which was unfounded - they got through everybody with extra time to spare. We did a trial before the wedding at her home in San Jose which went well - she pretty much nailed it and I had minimal feedback on any changes - and then she nailed it again on my wedding day! What I and everybody else loved about my makeup/hair is that I looked glowingly beautiful and elevated but not in a way that made me unrecognizable from my every day. The makeup also stayed flawless through the day and night without feeling heavy, and the photos came out great. Very happy with the outcome. Last but not least, her communication, efficiency, flexibility, professionalism, and ease to work with made all the logistics very stress-free. Thao and her team, Linda and Lien, are amazing! They are all so kind, patient, and incredibly talented! I booked Thao for my wedding trial hair and makeup, and for the same services for the big day. She started by asking what my daily skin care consisted of, my daily makeup routine, and how comfortable I am with wearing makeup. She truly listened to what I liked, didn’t like, and my vision. She was great with communication, organized, clear with pricing, and made the whole process seamless. To say she delivered is an understatement! The look was stunning and both my hair and makeup lasted all night long. My bridesmaids also looked stunning and their looks also lasted through a night of dancing and partying. Thao and her team really ensured we had a fun, stress-free experience getting ready, and helped us look and feel our best. I would book with Thao again in a heart beat!

Thao was friendly and easy to chat with. She did Hollywood glam curls and a soft romantic make-up look for me for my wedding day and it turned out great! I liked that I still looked like myself but more glammed for photos. The curls lasted all night even through the wind from our sunset photos. Her assistant/colleague, Michelle did my mom’s and sister’s hair and make up and they look great as well. It was nice to see my mom glammed up since she usually doesn’t wear any make-up.

TLDR; Beauty by Thao (Thao) made me feel beautiful on my wedding day and was super responsive and experienced! She's great at natural glam.

I found Thao through The Knot and she was super quick to respond. I appreciated that she was flexible about doing a trial and her services included both bridal and wedding party hair & makeup. I'll note that she prices out the hair and makeup as separate services, so if you're only interested in one, you can do so. Throughout she remained easy to communicate with.

Prior to the trial she asked me what I was looking for and I sent her inspiration pictures for both hair and makeup. On the day of the trial she asked about my preferences. Thao is very personable and easy to talk to! The time she spent working on both my makeup and hair went by really quickly. At the end we talked about things I liked/things I would change and she took pictures/videos and made notes. It was a no obligations trial, so following the trial I booked my and my bridesmaids wedding day services with her!

On the day of, she and her 2nd makeup artist arrived on time and prepared with their tools and setup to our get ready location. They worked efficiently and were very pleasant and easy going. Based on the finish time I asked for, Thao had scheduled everyone out in advance so we knew around when each of us would get our hair or makeup down. Everything pretty much went according to schedule so that when our photographer arrived we were all ready for pictures! Additionally Thao provided a touch up kit for me to use throughout the day if I needed it.

Overall it was a very seamless process and everyone looked beautiful! One of my friends already asked me who I went with and contacted Thao for her own wedding!

Thao was amazing at every step, she allowed for great flexibility as we added or changed between services. Day of she was so quick but efficient, we were ready early and had time to enjoy and soak up the moments. My wedding day was hot and sweaty but my makeup didn't budge even with my oily skin, I felt amazing all day and night!!
