A True Professional and Artist
My wife and I were budgeting for our wedding and like most, were trying to see where we could make cuts to make the budget work - polyester napkins rather than linen, inside or outside venue or BOTH (rain can be a pain in the Southeast...), and a host of other choices. On paper, sticking with just a photographer and not having a video saved money. After all my wife wanted those linen napkins, so it made sense and in our mind the pictures would get it all. Valid point. Our photographer was superb and did manage to get pictures of everything.Sent on 02/17/2019
There was something about having a wedding video that always appealed to me. I remember as a kid watching the video of my parents getting married and how they would look at each other and relive the moment. I wanted that too.
There was concern that perhaps a videographer would interfere with the photographer. It was made clear that the photographer would be worked around to give her what she needed to do her job. His professional experience with weddings allowed her the space to get what she needed and for him to be in position to get what he needed without getting in each others way. I know from experience looking at friends wedding pictures that having a videographer in the background is distracting... There was no issue at all with regards to that.
Fast forwarding to the end, I can say without question that having a wedding video is a blessing. Photographs can only come alive in your imagination - with video you get to watch it come alive. They both certainly have their place artistically. With Kyle, it is more than a static video from a camcorder on a tripod. It enters the realm of Cinematography or what I would call art through video. He has a skill not found in most providers of wedding video and that is being able to capture what matters and not simply hitting record and letting it roll. If you're on the fence about what you can afford, take my word for it and don't miss out on what you could have with a wedding video. If you are undecided on who to use, I can say with confidence that Kyle is a professional and more than that, an artist with what he does.
Nearly two years later, my wife and I have a video we still enjoy and will have to show our kids and grandkids. Thank you, Kyle!
p.s. Of all the feedback we received from friends and family about the wedding, not ONE said anything about how much they loved our napkins. ALL of them loved being able to watch our video.
