831 did an amazing job catering a brunch event for the Sunday morning after our Saturday wedding. They had a great selection of elevated breakfast sandwiches, drinks, pastries, and fruit in a drop-catering style that included plates, utensils, and everything else we would need. They were able to deliver and were very responsive. After all the chaos of planning the wedding, we just wanted something easy, seamless, and delicious for our Sunday brunch and 831 delivered. Guests really enjoyed the food and we got a lot of compliments.

Where do I begin? Joseph, Kimberly, and the entire 831 Catering team were an absolute dream to work with from start to finish. After interviewing many catering companies, we immediately felt at ease with Joseph and his team and knew we could trust them to cater our intimate wedding of 50 guests in my mother- and father-in-law’s backyard.

Joseph was incredibly easy to communicate with throughout the menu planning process and in the months leading up to our wedding. On the day itself, the 831 Catering team worked seamlessly behind the scenes. Before cocktail hour, they created an impressive grazing board display featuring figs, crostini, assorted cheeses, and cured meats. After our ceremony, they quickly transitioned the space, switching out chairs, setting up tables, and making everything look absolutely perfect.

After cocktail hour, dinner service began my husband and I were served our own plate to enjoy while guests mingled, and dinner was served family-style with generous portions of beautifully presented mains and sides, all rich in flavor and beautifully garnished. All of the servers were super friendly and attentive to both my husband and I and our guests. To finish the evening, we were treated to a stunning dessert spread that included cheesecakes, mousse cups, cookies, and other sweet treats.

831 Catering was the perfect caterer for our long wedding weekend. We got married at the Camp at Carmel Valley, where they are the resident catering company. They can cook anything you want but can also provide tasty recommendations. We went with tacos for the welcome dinner, family-style salmon/smoked brisket for the reception, and chicken sandwiches the final night. They also made great breakfast sandwiches, breakfast burritos, and lunch snacks. They accommodated dietary needs and always supplied vegan and vegetarian options at every meal service. They were extremely flexible with bartending service. We were able to bring in our own alcohol which saved us money but their service still provided us with tasty drinks. They provided top notch service for the price; an incredible value.

All of their staff were extremely friendly. They were constantly going out of their way to check in on us and make sure we were getting exactly what we were hoping for. They even helped photograph the event and we used many of their pictures later to show people the weekend. They helped set up flowers, provided a lot of their own dishware/cups/platters/etc.

Seriously, not a single complaint or criticism about 831. Our weekend would not have been as incredible or stress-free if we would have had any other caterer. They were a joy to work with and would love to spend another weekend with them soon. Also if it hasn't been said yet, their food is absolutely incredible!
