Wedding Caterers in Monterey

Pam, the proprietress of The Wild Plum, catered our farewell Sunday wedding brunch at my moms house. I have never seen a more beautiful spread in my life! Quiche, frittata, muffins, cookies, CINNAMON rolls, salad, mimosas, coffee, lemonade. OMG this brunch was to die for!!!!! She catered it for 50 ppl and I think 65 showed up! She puts her heart (and quality ingredients) into everything she does. Really phenomenal.

I can’t possibly give enough praise to Brad and his staff at Top Shelf Catering. From our first meeting over the phone I could sense that in working with Brad, we would be in the hands of a top notch professional who would deliver as promised. Turns out I was right! Brad took care of the necessary rentals, such as tables, chairs, dinner ware, etc. He provided the wine and liquor and manned the bar. Most importantly, the food was fabulous, from the passed hors d’oeuvres to the fresh mixed greens salad to both the beef filet and fish entrees. From beginning to end, the food and service were impeccable and Brad is a joy to work with. He made what could be an arduous task easy and fun.

Kuki's served the food for our wedding reception at Holman Ranch in Carmel Valley. We spent many months searching for just the right catering vendor, with the goal of fun and interesting food selections in mind. We envisioned a casual atmosphere, where guests could choose what and how much (and when) they wanted to eat, as opposed to the typical plated meal of many traditional weddings. We found that most vendors wanted to wrestle our vision away from us, and force us back into the box of What A Wedding Should Look Like. We also discovered that many vendors were quick to add a "wedding tax," charging us double for the same food and experience, simply because we said the word, "Wedding." Finding Kuki's was a dream come true. From the moment I reached out to them, they were professional, attentive and accommodating. They helped us create the perfect menu, and then went above and beyond to follow through, making sure that everything was organized. Teri and Juan arranged to meet us for a tour of the site to finalize details. Teri had a warm and confident demeanor, and his experience in the industry was evident. We trusted that all would go smoothly under his watchful eye. The one thing that we didn't get a chance to do was sample the food beforehand! I had hoped that the flavor and food quality would match the excellent presentation (of the website, the menu descriptions, and the display they set up at the reception). My husband and I made time to steal away from the crowd and properly sample all the menu items. We were thrilled! The food was SO good (especially the lemongrass shrimpcakes, YUM)! It was exactly what we had in mind, but even better than we expected!! This was one of the highlights of my day. Kuki's' caterers were delightful. Their bright smiles made our guests feel warmly welcomed, and they were detail-oriented and efficient with their setup and service. Teri also recommended a bartender for serving our beer and wine, and he was fantastic as well.

A Party for Your Palate did an excellent job for our wedding dinner. We received many compliments on the food and not just on one dish but on the entrees, appetizers and salad! The ingredients are so fresh and everything is packed with flavor. Chef Bruce is passionate and very knowledgeable about food and wine. Chef Bruce and his son Jordan gave us a tasting that was educational, generously-sized and allowed us to get to know each other. They created our drink menu and staffed the bar as well. Their service was excellent – on top of timing, details, not intrusive yet friendly and Chef even chatted with some guests which was a great touch. I highly recommend Chef Bruce and Jordan for an event if you want the best food quality/taste and great service at the event.

831 did an amazing job catering a brunch event for the Sunday morning after our Saturday wedding. They had a great selection of elevated breakfast sandwiches, drinks, pastries, and fruit in a drop-catering style that included plates, utensils, and everything else we would need. They were able to deliver and were very responsive. After all the chaos of planning the wedding, we just wanted something easy, seamless, and delicious for our Sunday brunch and 831 delivered. Guests really enjoyed the food and we got a lot of compliments.

We hired Roaming Feast for our wedding and couldn't be happier with our choice. They were professional, friendly, and incredibly attentive to every detail. Melissa and Markus went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly and that we felt taken care of. Most importantly, the food was delicious! We had several guests tell us it was the best wedding food they’ve had. If you’re looking for a caterer that is organized and on top of things but also incredibly cool and personable, we definitely recommend Roaming Feast!

We had them cater a small intimate wedding, everyone loved the ice cream! Very responsive and great service from the staff. Flexible and reliable throughout the planning process. Would recommend!
