Facilities and Capacity

Respectfully renovated after the Civil War, its then-owner added many of the Second Empire style features that characterize 20 South Battery today. These include the mansard roof which sets it apart from other properties of the area, as well as its large library and ballroom. Upon arriving at the property, guests will be struck by the grandeur on display throughout. The foyer, for example, features Victorian floor tiles, stately busts, coffered marble walls, and antique furnishings. A truly spectacular setting for a black-tie event, parties can dance the night away in the grand ballroom. The space is lit by ample natural light from an expansive skylight, which shines upon gold leaf molded window frames, hardwood flooring, and crystal chandeliers. Couples can also choose to exchange vows outside in a peaceful garden ceremony under the elegant pergola. The house is a luxurious and comfortable abode, and this is evident in its many guest rooms. Chief amongst these is the Battery Mansion Suite that features large windows and French doors leading out onto a private Piazza with views over the gardens.
