Spending 3 weeks in Spain! FH works a lot and we want to TTC after 6 months - we figured we might not have the opportunity to take this much time off for a while. Flying into Madrid, then exploring the south/Andalusia and flying to the Canary Islands for 4 days. I see lots of tapas and cava in my future, hopefully all the walking evens it out. lol. I love the Georgia coast, it's soooooo pretty! Where are you staying?
Kris...Take me with you puhlease! We took a mini moon to the Rivera Maya. We stayed at an all inclusive, Secrets Silver Sands. The beach left alot to be desired, but we truly needed the rest and relaxation after hosting a DW in Vermont.
We are not beach or cruise people, but we are music lovers so our honeymoon is going to be one of two things (haven't decided yet): We are going to wait and see what our favorite bands are doing tour-wise at that time. We would like to follow a band on tour for a week or so. If that doesn't pan out, we were planning on picking a couple different cities known for their music scenes and checking those out. So our honeymoon is going to be more a road trip no matter which choice we make.
We are heading to the French West Indies for 2 weeks the day after the wedding. Staying at La Samanna. Mary, be very prepared for the heat. It's been is the high 80s all week and it is not even summer yet.
I am so excited. After all the stress over $, we have a HM planned. We both had such high expectations & we were going broke over the HM. almost cancelled the wedding over it actually. We decided it's not worth going into debt over& all that really matters is we are together. As long as we are having fun& relaxing, it doesn't matter where we are. My parents spent a week at the beach& stayed in a cheap roach infested hotel lol. they didn't care. they were just happy to be together. My mom admitted though that they slept on the beach more than in the room. But I guess back then that was allowed& not a big deal. They are about to celebrate 29 years so a honeymoon is really what YOU make of it, not WHERE you go. Anyway, FH & I are gonna DRIVE not fly to Nashville TN. I have always wanted to go there. Fh has been many times but I've never been. We will stay in his mom's house. Intially we were getting a cabin in the mountains & flying but by staying in his mom's house,we will save $
We don't have much money, so we're only going to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg, TN. We live in NC, so it's not that far away. We'll have a good time though. It's one of my favorite places to visit. It never gets old to me. And I love, love, love Dollywood and Country Tonite.
We are going to a hotel 5mins away from our house lol! Since our wedding is in winter, and so close to christmas we decided to stay in a really nice local hotel and we will just go out and have fun, I love in a tourist town so we have a lot of bars lol. We will take a much nicer honeymoon next summer!
Jaclyn - we live in Nashville now! I'm sure your FH has it covered but feel free to PM me if you want any ideas about stuff to do, places to eat, bars, whatever. It's a great little town, you're going to love it! Cheryl, that area is so beautiful. Great Smokies National Park is amazing, there are so many scenic vistas drives and hikes. We did a really easy loop hike one day and saw bears on the trail! O.o.O. We had just moved to TN from CO so the first thing we had to do was see some mountains! Carole - come on along lady! You're a seasoned traveller, you could probably give us a guided tour! Have you been?
O gosh. Kris- take me to! We have like 3 ideas right now, and it all depends on $$$, cuz right now- we have none. We will either; go on a cruise to Alaska, vacation up on Victoria island BC, or go down to Disneyland and maybe vegas.
