What are you getting your parents???

Nope they are not getting a gift seeing as how me and FH are paying for it ourselves.

What are your parents hobbies or things they like to collect? Perhaps you can try there first.

We're still getting our parents gifts even though we are paying for the wedding ourselves. More of a thank you for being there to raise us type thing than thank you for paying for our wedding.

Probably going to get Pandora Charms for the Moms. Not sure on Dads yet. If you think of something, let me know!

Our parents will be getting a photo album, with wedding pictures and some other sentimental photos.

I'm also thinking about getting them these platters that Kirst posted on the post about Etsy.

DH bought his parents a personalized clock. I bought my mom a pandora-type bracelet. Then we made them scrapbooks filled with pictures of us growing up.

They'll also get parents albums when our pro pics are done.

I am getting them each an embroidered hankey. and then we will give each set a photo album once we have pictures.

FH got our fathers flasks and im getting my mother a Pandora charm and his mother a charm and bracket

We are doing embroidered hankey's and a nice picture frame with an e-shoot pic in it that can be replaced with a wedding pic. Both sets also get their own album of prof prints.

We too are paying for the wedding ourselves and still giving them gifts as a general thank you for raising the child to be my other half type thing...

We are getting our parents gift certificates for a night at a local Bed & Breakfast.

My mom: a spa day

My dad: a ticket to the airplane musem

Both things they love and we get with our student discount.

We're waiting till after the wedding to get them presents.... they're helping us pay for stuff, but we're still paying for $10g or more, so we're going to thank them after the wedding, when we aren't so tight on cash and can get them something really nice, that they'd appreciate

Gifts for the dads are SOOO difficult! I got my mom jewelry like the BMs and I got her shoes. I got his mom earrings and a bracelet she liked. So far the dads have a small bottle of liquor and the same gift FH got his GM. So we need to figure something out fot the dads lol! Ughh! This has been the biggest hurdle for me so far!

You don't have to equal their gift. something from the heart is always best and just know how blessed you are to have parents that are helping you make your day the best it can be.......

I had a t shirt made for my dad that had quote on it from 'Our song" and also it said father of the bride... he loved it and wore it right away and didn't want to take it off. My dad always loves things like that that I make for him. I don't think he wants me to grow up lol but it's okay to him I will always be his little girl.

I got a picture frame for my mom and i am gonna have a picture of me and her put it in...i had a few pictures done with just me and her at the wedding...hoping they come out good..
