You don't have to pick colors at all. Instead, you can focus on materials that go with a beachy scene. OR you could use a photo of a beach and pull colors from that.

We are planning for the same date (although mine's not set in stone yet). I would go with tropical colors for a beach wedding. I think I'm going with Purples (Dark purple, pale lavender and ivory), but we aren't sure exactly where we are having our wedding yet--so that's also not set in stone.

I looked up some pictures of Cocoa beach and what stood out to me were the sunsets there.
What about Yellow, Lavender and splashes of peach or coral. I think it would blend beautifully.

Colors for the bridal party? Blues & pinks look REALLY nice on the beach, as do yellows. Men do not have to wear black tuxes- they can wear a tan linen suit and would complement the scenery very nicely! Good luck with all your planning!

Turquoise and peach would look amazing, that's what I would do if I were getting married on a beach!

There are so many great colors out there. I was just looking on theknot.com and saw a beautiful color scheme that stood out. It was
turquoise & yellow. The girls wore turquoise colored dresses and carried yellow flowers.

Aqua and apple green would be awesome. Green orchids with white roses look great with aqua (pool) BM's dresses. I would make it very tropical...east meets west tropical. Good luck!

You can also try an aqua blue to bring in the color of the water.

I am having my wedding on the beach in December up in Jacksonville. My colors are Chocolate Brown, Blue (dark & sky) and cream. I also had another set of light tan, carolina blue and a fern (Davids Bridal color) green. I think that both those sets say "beachish". Have fun!

Hello brides... as a cake designer, I get this question a lot. I also do a lot of weddings in Vero Beach. Believe it or not, neutral shades, like White, Ivory, the tan color of sand, etc... work great. Then you can add a little accent color, like a blue or turquoise for a little pop of color. The inside of clam shells have beautiful shades of pearly blue, purple, etc.... I would say to get some inspiration from nature.. You can also take a look at the Beach/Seashell themed cake I have on my storefront...I also have one with Blue Coral... I hope this helps!

I second Mercedes, a beach is already beautiful. I think keeping things neutral with small pops of color enhance the natural beauty that will be surrounding your wedding.

Congratulations on your engagement!

Beach weddings are always so beautiful! We always recommend to our brides to go for more vibrant colors so they stand out against the natural background colors. For a recent wedding, the couple opted to go extreme with bright pinks, greens and deep purples. The arrangements were very modern in style and they came out beautiful. I have attached the link to our photos for this wedding. Hope this helps!
